Marriage is hard, hard work and requires constant adjustment to the common collaboration and its goals.
While the native's status and responsibilities change after the marriage, it was never H10 business. The existence, the social standing and the stages of it are well represented from H1 to H10 (persona, family, marriage, vocation/calling). Olden days are interesting to study and all, but that doesn't mean they are absolved from the critical eye and mind. Marriage is still a social institution, btw. As for the birds and elephants... Surely, only humans can type to be able to participate here Unless you can prove that one's knowledge is absolute, I don't see how you can name some of us birds and the others elephants. #keepthemetaphoralive On topic --- Rosalind, you tackle a very singular topic via general means and personal convictions. 1.I don't think so. I realized that my contributions are a waste of time on this forum. People never appreciate them and I am tired. There are others good astrologers on this forum so I wont be missed. 2. I thought I could help people but people think I am immature and agressive when I tell them my opinion. Also they put words in my mouth and they twist their own words to make me be the villain of the story. Guess what? I REALLY am. I opened this topic and I brought a lot of proof to sustain my opinions. I didnt throw words in the air. Now, I'm immature for giving astrological facts. WOW! Cool that. 3. When I returned to this forum I thought it was a good idea. I was wrong. People don't need my teachings and my help. 4. I was told my stories are boring and that nobody cares about. Of course, giving theories about happiness with no solid proof is way more interesting. Who the hell cares about Saturn's lesson? To hell with it, right? 5. I am tired of being mocked, insulted and so on. I am no ones carpet. And especially of people who think they are mature. LOL. 6. I don't regret my time spent here and contributing here as an astrologer and tarot reader. I do regret thinking my help is needed. I may be arrogant and aggresive but not cynical. Everything i've done was with good intentions.

Venus di S - don't get so cute and DO some reading. Here are just two authorities citing 10th house's relationship with marriage that I could locate quickly with my fingertips. http://www.skyscript.co.uk/temples/h10.html quote: Ancient authors recognised its influence on many matters, including marriage and children.
The Real Astrology Applied by John Frawley, from page 200-1: quote: As discussed in the article on the seventh house, the tenth has a lot to do with marriage. The further back in the texts we look, the more marriage reverts to the tenth house, being seen less as a union of two equals and more as a social institution. This has significance today when considering arranged or introduced marriages, in contrast to "we're in love, let's get married" of the seventh house.
And given that we live in a world of approximation, I consider "absolute" as a person married to their death in a long marriage or which I am not there yet of course nor anyone who can type on this board, but I am tending towards absolute given that I have and am continuing my life in matrimony. The third decan! Hmm most of the pisces I've known are early feb-march. I think anony is a first decan pisces.Nahty don't you have 3rd decan pisces rising? Ooooo work it LOL. quote: You may be one of the sexiest of all members of the whole zodiac. Neptune contributes very much to your good looks and mannerisms -- dark eyes, often wavy or curly hair, soft features, petiteness, grace, charm, while Scorpio/Pluto can enhance your sensuousness and sexiness. You may get admiring looks and compliments from those who would like to know you better, even intimately. Sometimes, unfortunately, you may be too sexy for your own good and receive some suggestions, advances, and propositions you just don't need.

i've read that that's observed in hollywood couples or power couples today. they pretty much stayed on not because of love but because of their work or to keep their reputation. it's a little sad. IP: Logged |

But... But... I love being cute!!! Trust me, you want me cute. And how would you know that I haven't done any reading, and not just the online type? Of course they have influence. H5 has influence on H1. H12 on H10. But it is not the same (or consequential) to say that H10 is effectual or factual when to comes to describing marriage. Yes, a marriage is a contribution to social mores (after all DCS stimulates IC/MC axis) : But H10 isn't about marriage. Yes, there's a connection - there's connection among all 4 angular houses. But, H10 isn't about marriage. Asc-MC quadrant is self-actualisation, person vs world. Dsc vs MC : marriage changed your standing in the society ,but there's nothing in H10 that can trump H7 when it comes to marriage. The marriage as social institution has evolved, as well. Today, the family (marriage as its legal form) is the formative cell of the society - shouldn't we pay attention to IC then? IP: Logged |
