That we will all be able to take a collective deep breath, when he starts to act in a more mature manner, and calls off these supporters of his who are hurting people all over the country. I have friends who see him as more Democrat, than Republican, and don't think that he'll repeal certain things...but he hasn't told these people to stop. He hasn't done anything of the sort. He only took to twitter to complain about the protesters, who are using the first amendment rights they were born with. There are very real reasons that people have been so scared, and angry. What would help would be if they weren't dismissed as crybabies - how are you supposed to unify, if you can't see their concerns - our concerns - and you continue to belittle us? You're just as bad, even if you aren't telling people to leave the country, chasing them around with guns. There are people all over the country, who are now afraid for their livelihood, and their *lives*, and all you've done is gloat, scoff, and insult. And you wonder why I, and others, are so angry?
Thank you for taking a stand and saying this. The brutal truth is that the reason why many of his supporters don't get it and don't care is that they feel protected by their privilege, in terms of religion, class, gender, race or sexual orientation, which they are firmly convinced doesn't exist and get mad at you for bringing up and which Trump used to appeal them. They think they just get to go on with their lives while the "others" in this country are being threatened in numerous ways. As one poster said earlier, if it does not affect them, they turn a blind eye or display a startling lack of empathy. What they don't realize is that all Americans are under threat right now. International and foreign relations may plummet or derail. The economy could tank again. They thought the ACA made their lives difficult? Wait til Trump repeals it and replaces it with his inane excuse of a healthcare system, which could make it even more unaffordable. Wait til they actually have to pay more taxes. Wait til those jobs somehow don't come in or dry up under the "leadership" of a man who cares nothing about the people and has never had to. Also, the so called f you to the establishment? Why is his Cabinet going to be full of people who defined the establishment like Guiliani? A president is only as strong as his team and since he has NO experience, he needs all the help he can get. They didn't usurp the evil politicians. They gave them a first class ticket to DC. Of course, none of this will appeal to their logic. Such as that thing about people on the left being unaccepting when what we are angry about is this profound display of a LACK of acceptance. Bigotry should not be tolerated. Ever. That is why the left is reacting this way. This is not something that is up for debate. It is about a basic lack of humanity and decency. These voters either said this man's hatred is fine or turned a blind eye to it for their own incredibly selfish and misguided reasons. But of course they are so full of "love and light". Most fanatics, especially religious ones, tend to fool others or themselves into thinking they are. My advice to you, teasel: Let this one go. Trump supporters can rejoice and mock and be smug now. But pride goes before a fall. This is the honeymoon phase of the presidency. Presidents invariably become more unpopular when they get into office and inevitably disappoint the people who expected so much of them. That happens with very seasoned politicians. What do you think the aftermath will be here? This is going to be a very dramatic example of it. Take this anger, which I completely understand and relate to, and seek out like minded people who you can make a difference with. We need to fight the good fight and not waste our energies elsewhere. I appreciate you not biting your tongue as well as the select few in this thread who have spoken out. This is not a time to silently stand by and excuse or overlook ignorance. But this conversation is a brick wall. We need to turn our energies out into the world. Change definitely needs to happen now. ------------------ Check out My Astrology Blog: http://astroarena12.blogspot.com

i double checked my cards, actually they said trump would win. Obviously i did not want to see it. but okay, Hillary was not a good choice either, absolutely not however, Trump already baned some stuff from his homepages as far as i have heard. What if he fooled and lied to you? what if there will never be a wall and many Muslims entering your country? IP: Logged |

Thanks for that incredibly thoughtful response. Don't know if that was directed at me or not. But if so, you apparently not only know what I look like and where I live, you keep up with my day to day activities. Are you a Russian spy? Is my cell phone tapped?! But I actually have not taken place in a single violent protest and neither have countless other people. Those are a small fraction of what's happening. What I meant by making a difference in the world is volunteering, contributing, and spreading awareness. You know, that peaceful revolt you mentioned before. Liberals are capable of that, too, despite what the news tells you. So who is being influenced and duped by the media here exactly? By the way, I feel like Cappi112 has been sitting back with his or her popcorn this whole time haha. ------------------ Check out My Astrology Blog: http://astroarena12.blogspot.com IP: Logged |

So sad that you're counting on failure. I saw this quote, and I hope you'll take it to heart. "I hope Donald Trump is a good president. Wanting him to fail, is like wanting the pilot to crash the plane that we ALL are on. Remember that." IP: Logged |

There are loons on both sides, man. Did you not get the memo about the people who voted for Trump who are harrassing innocent people on the streets for their race or religion? Did you not hear about the numerous reports of children going to school crying, scared that their parents or friends would get deported, or being told that they would be deported by OTHER CHILDREN, even if they are US citizens?Neither is acceptable but which one is more troubling: smashing a few windows or spewing vile racism and hatred? If you think I'm calling you a racist, you're wrong. But, what you guys need to realize is that, even though you don't share the mindset of these hateful Trump supporters, his ideologies have emboldened them to take these actions. It's something you really, seriously need to digest. ------------------ Check out My Astrology Blog: http://astroarena12.blogspot.com IP: Logged |

It's not counting on failure. It's having enough common sense to know that this is not going to turn out well. I'm not saying it will be apocalyptic or dystopian. I don't want to be too dramatic. But, things are not going to be ideal. Polyanna optimism only gets you so far. We need to be realistic and realize we're ON the crashing plane. Sorry but it's the truth. The best way I can put it is if you had to have open heart surgery, who would you trust: a very professional surgeon with many years of experience or some guy who just blustered his way into a hospital and kept yelling, "I'm going to be a great surgeon! Let me operate on you! Believe me!" with absolutely nothing to back that up, as well as a very unstable nature. It's a no brainer. Accepting the former option would be outright foolish. Electing Trump as president is like getting the random, crazy, unqualified guy to do open heart surgery on you. All because you're sick of experienced surgeons always operating on you. If you don't realize it's an incredibly risky and dangerous situation, you're just not using your head. ------------------ Check out My Astrology Blog: http://astroarena12.blogspot.com IP: Logged |

I see it as I was only given two choices for my surgeon and one of them was a criminal who chose to get hearts off the black market.

Okay. Great. Well, in following that analogy, you might as well update your will. Because your need to prove a point about something that has never been proven or substantiated, your hatred of someone who may not be who you want but will get the job done, is more important than your well-being. But, hey, we all take our risks in life. And we can either live with them or regret them when we endure the consequences. ------------------ Check out My Astrology Blog: http://astroarena12.blogspot.com IP: Logged |

^^^Hahahaha. And yet when people speak of the impending threat of his presidency, we're told to "wait and see what he does." But, you just know that he will be a phenomenal president, all while knowing absolutely nothing about politics. I also find it interesting how you guys pick and choose things to argue about. I have laid out numerous points about Trump, his incredible inefficiency, how deceptive his administration will be (and his campaign has been) and the toxic effect of his campaign. So far, no one has responded to any of them. Because, deep down, you probably know that you can't. At least without being highly defensive, dismissive, or delusional. Jesus, how strong is that Kool Aid? Is it spiked? Anyways, getting back to astrology, I'm loving Mars in Aquarius right now. It's going through my 1st House and I can't think of a more fitting time. Can't wait til it is conjunct my North Node. I feel that Aquarian mission and sense of purpose more than ever now. ------------------ Check out My Astrology Blog: http://astroarena12.blogspot.com IP: Logged |

I'm in Canada. We keep up with whats going in the states. I'm guessing your not aware of the Seattle Shooting. Its because were litteraly next door and have always been an indirect big "resource" trading partner. The US needs lots raw resources to fuels its "economic engine" and we need someone to buy our almost endless supply. Much better to make a deal and give whatever the other needs. NAFTA can work and please both countries if they remove Mexico. Trump will be sorry if he does...I like to reason he is probably thinking of Mexico when he says that, not Canada. We can give him and the US a better "bulk" rate on resources then internal/external sources. I'm sure your consensus is the same as mind as long as the US internal issues don't spill over to other parts of the world or ruin trade/business partnerships in other places, i'm fine. Off topic ========== I just grabed a Coffee at Starbucks and the clerk asked me what's my name and I said Donald. Everyone in the room just bursts out laughing. Haha. Omg, dream scenario: he freaks his racist supporters out and announces in January that he will be appointing both a Hispanic AND a Muslim into his Cabinet. Imagine the confusion and the pandemonium that would break out. Also, another dream scenario: at the inauguration, before Trump makes his speech, Ashton Kutcher, producer of Punk'd, walks out and announces that, thanks to Donald, he has entered the Guiness Book of World Records for the most elaborate, ambitious practical joke in human history. He would like to thank all the people in the Red States and, of course, in the Electoral College! It couldn't have been possible without them. The special episode "Punk'd: The Presidential Edition" will be available on Blu Ray and DVD in March. Meanwhile, Trump is going off to count his millions. It's been real, guys! ------------------ Check out My Astrology Blog: http://astroarena12.blogspot.com IP: Logged |
