NickiG

We can continue being part of the problem or be part of the solution.

I~m sure you are a well intending young woman but there`s a time to let go, You can`t cut the dogs head off and still expect it to wag it`s tail.

A bit of useful info (you determine) is as a Mod, you are indeed held to a higher standard as a guide. Be what you desire to see and relax, enjoy your time here and grow with fine companionship.

Azalaksh - I know you said you may not leave and it depends - I just thought I would throw in my wishes for you to stay. I know i don't post as much as I used to and I posted more under my previous names so some people may not even know who I am anymore but I always enjoy your posts and insight.

As for closing Lindaland for any length of time - I think that is ridiculous. I haven't commented on any of this drama until now because although it's semi-entertaining to read (it's like Jersey Shore!), and some of it is disturbing and mildly troublesome, I would much rather be posting in more constructive threads. How about people concentrate on that instead and let the other people that WANT to do that enjoy doing that? No need to punish everyone on the site because MOST of us are not partaking in all of this.

I will now take my Aries self into another thread before say something fiery

Pronounceation of meditative breaths used to reduce anxiety with the intention of eliminating anger or frustration

Woosah is from Bad Boys 2. You grab your earlobe and pull as you say the meditative words. It reduces stress. Or you can do what George's dad did on Seinfeld and yell at the top of your lungs, "Serenity Now!"

i can't believe were able to spend pages upon pages that arent even about expressing opinions on the issue that caused all this in the first place anymore. but become big battles of whos right and whos wrong. its a pity.

why care so much? so everyone can see? so one can come out as some kind of victor?

..

there is a point where people agree to disagree if they try more than once to agree. this is going pointlessly far don't soem of you think?

if you believe in something strongly and another does too that is different, its pointless to go on and on?

is such a shame that people have to duke it out after about 20 posts of back and forth explaining and pushing of one anothers point until one says "well, you are right and i was wrong".

it matters too much to some of us than it ever should.

being a moderator is a hard job, it means biting the bullet, being Very objective, its no different than working customer services.

you are here to serve the forum and its members.

i see power tripping, and squabbles.

if you are a moderator, and you are keeping personal - personal conflict with a member out of your relation to them and remain objective and solution-searching as possible, you are likely doing your job very well.

a moderator should be able to take a step back, evaluate maturely waht is going on and make the right decision that brings the temprature down, not heat it up.

members will be unfair to moderators at times, but they will be dealt with or punished if necessary to resolve the situation. in that position as a moderator, you have to be able to handle this, not let your personal subjective reaction to whats taking place, get ahold of you.

most importantly, a moderator needs to know when to let it go.

that's all.

Bah. I don't know what to say. It's a really big deal that V and Zala have resigned their modships. Does no one care or question? Not to mention the other shennanigans that have gone on. Malcolm X and MLK both had very different methodologies but they were both trying to accomplish something (and made villains by the mainstream in the meantime until history revealed the rightness of their actions).

Nothing else remains to be said at the moment. And before I get bashed for being a troublemaker, hopefully I am better known by now. Something big is happening here. I don't know what it is but I don't want to whitewash it anymore.

Again, another management analogy: If in my office, I was suddenly faced with massive turnover, resignations, and low morale, and all of this had seemingly occurred INSTANTLY, I would seriously have to question what it was within my organization that had changed and take immediate steps to stop the hemorraghing.

If it walks like a duck, talks like a duck, and looks like a duck, it IS a ******* duck. Occam's Razor, etc.

It's like the Titanic sinking, and a serious crisis of leadership is being faced here. LL is in DANGER. The Chinese character for danger is a hybrid of two other characters: crisis + opportunity .

Character is tested in situations like this. So is leadership. Everyone in a position of leadership here is being tested right now.

Just my .02 (as usual).

I'm done dishing out advice LOL. I'm not being paid to give out free organizational change and change management assistance. I just want to enjoy this place again.

StarofVenusgirl,

Please be specific. Do you want Randall do dismiss the new moderators? Is that what you think is best?
