It doesn't mean you have to be a wet noodle.Just count to 10 first before doing or saying anything...or 20 if need be. Really take as many numbers as you like, there's plenty  IP: Logged |

Let me retract one of my previous statements. If someone comes in here and angrily posts inflammtory words on their way out asking to be banned, then yes, I will consider deletion of the string in question. They don't get to have last words unless they are polite and respectfully depart. Is that not reasonable? ------------------

I must admit to having a bit of a chip on my shoulder, and to not trusting "authority" in general, I also do not DISPLAY my disregard of authority in public [except on lindaland], because I don't want to influence other people to do the same. all i want to say is ...i do not think of randall as a daddy father uncle or grampa ...i dont have those issues. that is "icky poo".
i can work out my issues with non sympathetic types if and when i have to, as i have a backbone and full ability to take care of business if and when the situation calls for it and i know there is a higher authority to right wrongs when we can't. don't fck with me and there wont be a problem, new mod.
i dont care about the new forum...nor did anyone else until what turned people off about the new forum is all threads disinegrating into flirt night at the homecoming dance, online version 2 and the content was never related to the subject matter...ever. i am glad you decided not to delete any more threads. good call. the censorship got way out of hand. MOST of us know how to debate properly and disagree without judging. we can disagree, and come back the next day and talk about something else we agree on. we don't much make statements like, i will never like you, or judgmental posts from a moderator on things she doesn't really know about, like life and customs of other counties. that is pretty strong, and while you may have opinions ms pluto squared, you should know your subject well, as most of the people on here were well travelled seasoned intelligent individuals. nickyg never did go back to the prenup thread where i showed her by definition that a dowry is a gift to the husband. know your subjects. stop the insane censoring and maybe some will come back. "nickyg never did go back to the prenup thread where i showed her by definition that a dowry is a gift to the husband. know your subjects" um, actually i did see that, dont insult me..just because i didnt reply about it doesnt mean i didnt see it...and "know your subjects" suggests i went back and tried to push onto you or anyone that you were wrong about it...i just didnt go to look it up myself to see if it was right or wrong thats why i didnt respond...i just remembered wrong...it was several years ago...i shouldnt even have to explain myself to anyone and why go and bring up an old subject? ------------------

It's not censorship to stop flaming on a discussion board. I'm going in now to add that to the Sign-Up Rules. Whether anyone comes back or not is their choice. But if they want to, they can e-mail me privately. If not, that's okay, too. This is just one of a billion sites, and one of 100 million discussion boards. It ain't life or death.------------------

I will admit that I have been insensitive and rude to foreigners. But, I have also felt defensive of my own country. I was also feeling defensive of Jewish people, because I just FEEL defensive for them. In real life, not online life, I am not a racist, judgemental of other countries (actually, I would LOVE to meet foreigners), and I am not trying to set myself above them. So, if this was the impression I gave to you, in the midst of fighting, I apologize.
