Mar,

I was actually thinking about that yesterday, when I noticed some transits to the Draco charts when we first met.

Yes, I think that could be a good way to see if a meeting touched us on a "soul-level" and spurred some possible growth

What do you mean with that?
The aspects in a Draco chart are always the same as in tropical, but the signs are different.

However if you do have NN at 00 Libra, every Draco planet will be exactly opposite the tropical one, and yes, sometimes we need to revisit the past to be able to move into our future

Well.. the tropical synastry isn't totally negligible between he and I but it doesn't make you go "oh yeeessss yes yes yes!!!," whereas the draco steps in to say yes. Yes yes.

In her words "not the best synastry I've ever seen but not the worst either," regarding the tropical. When she moved on to the draconic and saw the Davison she became much more enthusiastic about the relationship. I think her words make more sense in this context... the tropical synastry isn't particularly exciting/not earth shattering, but not devoid of attraction and meaning either.

The draconic does supplement it enough to make it very strong though it seems. Sun-desc, all the contact to my nodes from his draconic. I was surprised how adamant she was that the draconic aspects would be FELT... that Sun-desc would feel very much like a tropical synastry Sun-Desc connection brightens my life

Her perspective seems in keeping with the energy of what you're saying here, Ceridwen... the feel of the draconic synastry might become more pronounced with time, and deeply felt as an integral part of us. That's the gist I'm getting anyway.

Yes.

And also if your Draco planet is triggered, it means you are being hit on a deep soul level, which will activate your growth in this realm, and infuse you with a feeling of purpose, like this thing is bigger than the two of you almost.

For my Dad it means that whenever something triggers his Sun it also means that his Draco Venus is being triggered, so he feels that activation not only in terms of his identity and being himself, but his love nature and how he relates to others on a deep level is ignited too, possibly with some growth in that regard.
How he expresses that soul-level relating-style or way of loving in a physical or visible way, is more to be seen in the tropical placement of Venus, which is in Aquarius anyway. lol

Athenaia,

so far I have not read anything that spells atrocious to me.

In fact the way you describe your mental connection sounds very Uranian to me, and while unusual, that is not a bad thing at all. There might be challenges in the synastry (which synastry doesn`t have these?) but all in all it sounds like there is a lot of chemistry.

BTW Mar,

amazing linkup with your family. Yes Moon and Saturn can be mommy and daddy, so to speak, so it is just amazing.

We do have a bit of a meeting point on 7-9 Libra-Aries

in tropical

my Mom? Saturn 9 Libra
my Dad`s Mars 9 Libra
my Dad`s SN 7 Libra
my Pluto 9 Libra
my brother`s Mars 7 Aries

and in Draco
my Mom`s Dr Venus 9 Libra
my Dad`s Dr Neptune 7 Libra

thought that was interesting

Hahaha, thank you!!!
In fact, if you don't mind I am thinking when we all finish the discussion in here, I'll probably start a new thread with this specific subject! I am writing down all of the observations now and I think I'll search even for my parents' FMC or my FMC with my ex and see if there was a draco triggering!
Needless to say, I would love your input/your own observations there!!!

Awww, this is in fact poetic! I totally loved it! Thank you for your further explanation!

Yes, so amazing!!! When I saw it yesterday I was like

The hilarious part is that now is the second time that I look into all my draco synastries, draco natals etc. It was one of the first subject I searched back then when I began to study astrology, but you know...I was completely clueless! I kept writing all the placements and connections, but I understood almost nothing lol. It's so nice that I finally even began to understand them just a bit!!!

So, there is a meeting point (I liked the term) in your family, too, of course! Nice!!!

Btw, do you have some weird sign degrees (like the ones Faith has mentioned if I remember well) that keep appearing in your life somehow? If so, have you found the explanation in draco perhaps?
I am now seeing that the 12-18 Pisces I keep bumping everywhere I look extends to draco charts of other people in my life! I really find it weird. I thought I kept bumping in these degrees because of my tropical Moon in 10 56 Virgo, as it is opposite. But in some cases, the opposition was a bit wide. So, I kept wondering. Then I found my draco Venus is in 20 pisces, so maybe this is a combination of the two???

ETA : Oh, I forgot lol, I have also my draco Neptune in 11 30 Virgo. So..a combination of the three perhaps?

Finally and I stop lol

General observations from my draco synastries for the thread :

I just noticed that my ex's draco Saturn is conjunct my tropical NN!!! Hmmmm...of course, lol :/

Then I remembered the first time that I felt a strong mind/soulmate-like connection with someone. It never took off, no physical contact ever lol, but it was my platonic crush for several months back then (Crush is an understatement, but anyway ). Most importantly I think he was a reminder that I was not supposed/shouldn't stay with my ex at all (----> weak draco synastry with my ex imo, btw). So I thought, there HAS to be something strong in the draco!!! And...tadaaa..:

His draconic Sun conjunct my draconic Moon <1 d.
And his draco Neptune conjunct my tropical Node.

So the draco placement conj. my tropical Node repeats itself. And I can definitely feel the difference between Saturn and Neptune between them lol! Although in the second case, there was NO Neptune contact in the tropical synastry!

So, draco-draco with my ex relationship of 7 years :
Not much here, we were born 2,5 months apart, so our Nodes are pretty much conjunct.
But, the slight change of the planets creates some new aspects compared to tropical.

His tropical moon was unaspected (a quincunx from my Saturn only). So this makes me rethink my own obsession with unaspected planets in synastry and if they aren't good for long-term relationships lol.
His draco Moon however squares my Neptune.

His tropical Sun received a widish square from my tr. Venus. (2 planets and specifically Sun and Moon (almost?) unaspected???? lol, this is really weird..
His draco Sun receives another widish conjunction from my draco Saturn and nothing else.

His tr. Uranus trines my tr. Sun.
But his dr. Uranus is again unaspected!!
(only one wide conj. to my dr. Uranus)

My tr. Jupiter was unaspected in the synastry.
My dr. Jupiter conjuncts his dr. Pluto sextiles his dr. Neptune.
So not much again.
(=Jupiter is the ruler of my 11th btw ..so...it's so fortunate that we broke-up, haha

My tr. Saturn unaspected.
My dr. Saturn widely conj. his dr. Sun.

His tr. Jupiter sextiled my tr. Moon.
His dr. Jupiter unaspected.

Oh god, what's with all these unaspected planets, I had never noticed till now, as I said in another thread I haven't even studied the synastry with my ex, I guess I really have to look into it now

Editting for the connections with the platonic thing

ughhh glitch

ETA :

Some observations from the draconic synastry with platonic crush

My tr. Moon unaspected.
My dr. Moon conjunct his dr. Sun <1d

My tr. Sun/Merc/Dsc sq. his tr. Sun
My dr. Sun/Merc/Dsc conj. his dr. Saturn
and sq. his dr. Neptune.

His tr. Jupiter sq. my tr. Uranus.
His dr. Jupiter conjunct my dr. Node---> does that count? His dr. Jupiter is ~28 Pisces.

[His tr. Moon (unknown TOB, so not sure) sq. my tr. Saturn.
His dr. Moon tr. my dr. Sun/Merc/Dsc.]

@Sunnya, lucky you!!! I had written some other things that I forget now, lol, but ok, another time perhaps

Such a nice clear way of putting it. It's good to clarify that these draconic placements are so sensitive. Basic, but important.

Yun,

"Well.. the tropical synastry isn't totally negligible between he and I"
I did not think so.

" but it doesn't make you go "oh yeeessss yes yes yes!!!," whereas the draco steps in to say yes. Yes yes."
I find that to be often the case. The Draco is either really compelling or totally MEH. Boring. Not much middle ground.
Like bringing certain thing into very sharp focus.

"aw the Davison she became much more enthusiastic about the relationship"
If I understood it right, you have a nicely grounded Davison making a relationship possibly lasting, right?
Our Davison is rather tilted to the extremes, I feel, though I found it interesting that when I did have a look at our progressed Davison that I saw that our pr Moon is applying to opposition with our Davison Sun, which will peak next month actually. lol
And our pr Venus applying to conjunct pr Jupiter applying to conjunct pr IC applying to conjunct Sun, though this will take some more years to perfect. But I liked it.

"that Sun-desc would feel very much like a tropical synastry Sun-Desc connection brightens my life "
interesting. maybe because an angle is involved?

" the feel of the draconic synastry might become more pronounced with time, and deeply felt as an integral part of us."
Yes, that is how I feel about it more and more.

But I definitely feel Draco-DRaco as well, though possibly I do so because they are mostly additionally tied to at least one person`s tropical planet?
(I am really limiting the aspects to conjunction, opposition and occasionally square here).

i mean it is pretty hard to NOT notice how his Sun/Moon/MC-Saturn/Vertex/DESC-square in the Dracos is moved so that it ties into my Draco Venus-Pluto/MC-square, while it overlays/ hooks into his TROPICAL Venus-Juno-opposition and with a bit more generous orbs his tropical Venus-Pluto-square. I mean that seems pretty significant to me.

Not that I am aware of, at least not as a rule.

However in this particular synastry, his Venus seems unaspected in our synastry. Well it really isn`t as it the focal point of the square of my Neptune/NN to my Jupiter (exact semisquares to both ends) plus also a focal point of the 9th harmonic configuration involving my Moon and Venus to his Venus-Juno-opposition I think.
Oh and also part of the 7th harmonic closed aspect configuration interlocking his Venus-Chiron-biseptile with my Mars-Juno-biseptile, and thus putting his Venus on my Moon/Venus-mp (9th harmonic), my Mars/Juno-mp (7th harmonic) and my Jupiter/neptune and Jupiter/Node midpoint (8th harmonic).

But still some of the more traditional astrologers would probably consider it as unaspected (because they would not consider the antiscion to my Mars either I suppose, oh and not the precise semisextile to my Sun and Mercury). For an unaspected planet his Venus receives quite a bit of aspects me thinks. But most astrologers would say those are just minors.

Still the week we met his pr Sun was conjunct his n Venus precise with 0°00 orb, which it was only for 5 days, so meeting me on the 3rd day of this timeframe, it seems to have emphasized his Venus in some way. Even though well my own n Sun is just semisextile it.

Anyway, as I mentioned he natally has Venus opposite Juno from 25 Cap to 27 Cancer and in his Draco his Sun-Moon-MC-conjunction falls onto his tropical Juno, and his Draco IC consequently is on his tropical Venus.

Now, the way I come into this is this:

my MC 24 Capricorn
my Pluto 28 Capricorn

and my IC 24 Cancer
(along with my Alma-Aura-Gaea-Chariklo etc. on my IC)

So this seems to be predominantly about my Draco Pluto. Don`t ask me what this means, I have no idea, but it looks.... important.

I mean my Draco Pluto - MC
on his tropical Venus and Draco IC
opposite his tropical Juno and Draco Sun-Moon

and my Draco IC-Alma
on his tropical Juno and Draco Sun-Moon-MC

How are two poor relatively easygoing Centaurs to deal with all that Cancerian input? and then getting intensified by the Pluto opposition?

In our case it seems like the DRaco implies that what you see is really not (all) you get. Scratch the surface and you find Cancer, Pluto (for him putting the focus on the tropical 5th house and for me the tropical 8th house, and my Vertex is dangerous close anyway, maybe not quite conjunct or maybe it is, it is 21 Cancer, his Draco Sun is 25 Cancer.

btw Draco planets conjunct, opposite or square the tropical nodes are ALWAYS a big focus. It is the nodal chart after all!

In my own Draco chart I have Draco Moon on the South Node (a wee bit over 3 degrees) and exactly conjunct my DESC.

Which opposes his tropical Mercury on my NN, with his Draco Chiron attached to it as well (and my Draco Cupido, too). I think his tropical Musa is there as well.

It just reminds me how he once said that the songs he is singing is his vehicle (Musa - Mercury) to express his deeper, and also more vulnerable, feelings (his Draco Chiron?).

Which I find is a perfect way to describe how the interrelation between tropical and Draco works. lol

Oh my, if there is so focus to them, this gets worse then..lol
Remember when we discussed for his natal square involving Venus opp. Mars and all of his relationship houses? And you told me about his issues? I am talking about the you know who lol..
Turns out his dr. Venus and his dr. Mars are squaring my tropical Node!!! I am hopeless, right?

Is it possible that other aspects in draco synastry count, especially if they are a part of a cnfiguration? Yod for example? I just saw my draco synastry with my friend of 3 years, who just recently stopped being my friend lol, so I couldn't help but notice how concentrated this synastry is with this yod!!! The apex is my Chiron !!!
Well, I have a natal yod with Chiron-apex, but she puts planets almost in the whole Yod, Mars, Mercury, Uranus, Jupiter..?? Is this important or...?
Look!!

So maybe even yods (quincunx?) in draconic count as well? I'll go look for conjunctions from draco to tropical now, to see if the draco placements were triggered this way firstly.
Before that, I should mention that as you see there is my dr. Dsc/Sun/Merc conj. her draco IC and in tropical we have my NN conjunct again her IC!!!!

Ok, all of the connections in the synastry with my friend of 3 years, that ended recently..

Her draco---> my natal

Her dr. Asc/Dsc conj. My tr. Asc/Dsc <1d!!!
Her dr. Sun conjunct my tr. Asc exact!!!
Her dr. Vertex conjunct my tr. NN EXACT !!!
Her dr. Pluto conj. my tr. Sun <1d
Her dr. Saturn conj. my tr. Sun
Her dr. Uranus and Jupiter conjunct my tr. Moon
Her dr. MC conj. my tr. Saturn exact!!! (and my dr. Asc/Dsc as well)
Her dr. Venus (and her Moon nearby but wide) opp. my tr. Moon

Now my draco ----> her natal

My dr. Moon her natal Chiron
My dr. Mars and Pluto ----> her IC

Vey unequal triggering of draco, I don't know why btw..

The Draco to draco is shown above lol

With my love, my tropical moon conjuncts his moon/SN. So does this mean I'm actually teaching him something since my Draco moon conjuncts his tropical NN?

Do you think the Draco sun/moon mp is significant Ceri? Especially if it hits the natal?

Ceridwen,

"But I definitely feel Draco-DRaco as well, though possibly I do so because they are mostly additionally tied to at least one person`s tropical planet?
(I am really limiting the aspects to conjunction, opposition and occasionally square here)."

It sounds like to become consciously aware of the draconic-draconic synastry a tropical tie in really really helps to ground the energy. Dawn said comparing two draconic charts is somehow too ethereal or something... i can't remember the word she used but like, they're insubstantial on their own, like trying to wear the lining of the coat without the coat (she made that coat analogy)... she looks at draconic charts in the context of the natal always it seems.

"i mean it is pretty hard to NOT notice how his Sun/Moon/MC-Saturn/Vertex/DESC-square in the Dracos is moved so that it ties into my Draco Venus-Pluto/MC-square, while it overlays/ hooks into his TROPICAL Venus-Juno-opposition and with a bit more generous orbs his tropical Venus-Pluto-square. I mean that seems pretty significant to me."

Indeed! I think it is significant but Dawn is a Virgo and looking for practical applications of the energy. I think wit the tropical tie-ins it's there ... but without it would be a soul connection, period... and the awareness of it would only come when we were figuratively examining the lining of our coat and getting real intimate with the stitching. Which your average mortal isn't necessarily doing so often. To mix metaphors a little...

But I also see things in draco synastry which are too potent to ignore it seems... they're all tied into the natals somehow.. for instance his dr. Venus on my dr. IC at 0-1 pisces opposes my natal Juno and is conjunct his natal Amor by 2 degrees. Kinda small potatoes but.. not. And i think we can expect to kinda see it all tying in and honestly it doesn't follow for me all the way, logically, to discard the draco synastry. It just would have to have some significance as both are implicitly corresponding to both natals, numerically, deeply corresponding to the nodal configuration... as you said..

It all matters--I would say--quincunxes and all... I'm for generosity with symbolism and infinite richness of meaning and understanding to be gleaned from the charts... it's just that as with anything in astrology we have to prioritize meaning of certain symbols and aspects/relationships or we are kinda lost in a sea of information with no compass... like basic knowing to look at the ascendant sun and moon of a person and to get to know them based on hemispheric focus aspects to angles etc... and not start at asteroids, right?

I mean... I don't wanna ignore our draco Eros-Psyche conjuction... but i need to take it in context of the bigger picture. If there were no Eros Psyche in the rest of the chart comparisons I would see it as a ghostly memory or potentiality of union which many of us have with any number of other souls, right? But patterning and consistency as well as the tie in to the natal charts (that Eros-Psyche on my natal Saturn and composite draco Sun, square draconic nodes, my natal Mars and his Moon...) makes it worth looking at seriously, with the colouring of my Saturn and the challenge for his Moon and my Mars, which are Aries planets, to deal with a late Aqua/early Cap Eros-Psyche conjunction... and ground it into reality, yes

I feel redundant now and pedantic. Just trying to sort it out myself. I'm. Trying to find examples that don't tie into our natal charts. It's actually really hard because the draco as i said ALWAYS seems to do so! Maybe it
depends on the person... 360 degrees is only so much after a while though eh?

So I did an overview on Draconic overlays to tropical (like in Yun`s example analysis), just using Chiron, Black Moon Lilith and Juno, Ceres, Pallas as asteroids, though Psyche is conjunct my Lilith in my chart and his Psyche is conjunct Pallas in his chart, so she is sort of being pulled along.

his Draco - my tropical
--------------------------

his Dr DESC and Saturn near my Chiron (appr. 5)

his Dr Mars/Jupiter on my IC (4,3)
his Dr Mars/jupiter opposite my Pluto exact

his Dr Neptune on my Saturn and Vertex (2, 2 - on the midpoint)

his Dr Chiron on my Mars, Neptune, NN and ASC (3,1,1,1)

his Dr Antivertex on my Uranus (4)

his Dr Juno on my Lilith-Psyche (2)
his Dr Venus opposite my Lilith-Psyche exact
(I think the Dr Venus-opposite my Lilith is the most exact aspect in the whole)

his Dr Mercury opposite my Venus (2)

his Dr Uranus opposite my Sun and Mercury (4,3)

Nevertheless, even though not part of this check up, I found it interesting that

his Dr Eros is on my MC-Pluto (2 each, on the exact midpoint)
his Dr Amor is on my IC (2)
