It is not identical but still similiar enough to make me curious.

First, I would think an asteroid connected to the luminaries in natal and synastry (the other's luminaries) is an important theme of the couple and has a major impact on the luminary person (actually, on both of them).

Because a man's Moon is that female archetype he "needs" and the one who touches him to the core and provokes the strongest emotional waves (plus the sexual connotation of the Moon) and because the Moon herself is a witch, an enchantress, the goddess of all witches, I'd say a woman's Moon on a man's Circe and a woman's Circe on a man's Moon is like the ultimate contact. An attraction hard to control or rationalize, deep and instinctive.

Vesta, on the other hand, is another "flame". The keeper of the fire, she is a burning fire herself, she burns with devotion, commitment, passion for something. She is also ritualistic. Also sacred sexuality.

A man's Circe (the archetype of the enchantress for him) in aspect to a woman's Vesta - her Vesta side is like a potion, like a drug to him, but there is also mutual "inflaming". Chances for sexual magic here.

A man's Vesta in aspect to a woman's Circe - more sexual magic. Plus, he is devoted to this side in her, the witch in her, it would have a spiritual impact on him because I believe Vesta is a very spiritual asteroid.

UBASTI conjunct Moon
(two manifestations of the same Egyptian Goddess, the cat/lion-goddess)

CIRCE conjunct Sun
KALYPSO conjunct Moon exact
(both goddesses connected to Odysseus, though Kalypso actualy imprisoned him, trying to force him to marry her; Circe was more non-posessive)

I agree with you on the clustering, too

BTW Mr Sag`s CIRCE is not doing too much, being placed on 00 Aquarius; widely squrae his VESTA on almost 3 Taurus. Oh also widely conj. his Venus (4 degrees are really pushing it for an asteroid though; conj. ISHTAR by 2 degrees, which is the bridge from his Venus to CIRCE)) and loosely opposing his JUNO (3 degrees). Quinkunx his NN exact.

Interestingly his CIRCE opposes my PRIAPUS on 00 Leo exact, squaring my Uranus on 1 Scorpio, which oppese his VESTA on 3 Taurus.

Also his CIRCE falls onto the composite ASC of 1 Aquarius.

It seems like there is a certain temptation of an Aquarius-nature. Actually his ex-girlfriend (longterm) had a huge stellium in Aquarius in his 12th house.

He also has SAPPHO in aquarius (13 degrees) and PSYCHE (25 degrees) and Pallas on 24 Aquarius. of course not conjunct, but as you can see Sappho falls onto the midpoint of his Circe and Psyche.

I just notice that cause I have soemthing similiar thought with different asteroids.

I have Pallas on 10 Aquarius, Moon-Kalypso on 17 Aquarius, Psyche and mean Lilith on 24 Aquarius, as you can see for me it is Moon-Kalypso on the midpoint of the other ones.

In the composite we have CIRCE on 13 Capricorn, PROSERPINA on 14 Capricorn, Venus on 16 Capricorn in 12th house,
squrae Pluto on 15 Libra in 8th house, near the nodal axis
trine EROS on 14 Taurus right on the IC
sextile Uranus on 12 Scorpio near the MC

We also have SALOME on 19 Capricorn, on the exact midpoint of Venus on 16 Capricorn and Moon on 22 Capricron (It is configured with some manifestation of Jesus-Mary-conjunction right there).

HELENA is on 22 Scorpio closely/ exactly conjunct the VALENTINE-LUST-ANGEL-DNAconjunction there elevated in the 10th house, I think they might be most elevated asteroids, though Uranus is of course the elevated planet.

naturally opposing JUNO on 22 Taurus, trine ISIS_CERES on 24 Pisces, and sextile Moon on 22 Capricorn.

and trine ASTARTE on 24 Cancer

(so a GT of HELENA, ASTARTE and ISIS. LOL)

with Moon being opposite ASTARTE, and JUNO being opposite HELENA.

Speaking of seduction-asteroids (female):

Aphrodite: 1388
AStarte: 672
Ishtar: 7088
(Astarte being Phoenician, Ishtar babylonian form of Aphrodite, though more powerful as the Greek version; goddess of love, sex, fertility and war; not the marrying or faithful kind though)

Sappho 80
(poetess, very passionate and sexual; seductive through refined passion, but not seducing to just seduce; expressing passions through art).

Helena 101

Salome 562 (remember the dance, that cost John his head?)

Sirene 1009

Lilith 1181 (possibly, but a dark twist)

Thanks, checking those one more time:

Sappho conjunct Sun
Aphrodite on Sun/Venus mdp opp Jupiter
Salome square Sun/Mars mdp
Sirene opp mars
Ishtar in 1st on Avx
Innanen/Astarte conjunct SN exact and Karma - my SN has a cluster of goddesses there

Interesting facts in synastry:

My Salome conjunct his NN exact and his IC (2) lol
His Ishtar/Sirene conjunct my Lilith
My Ishtar conjunct his Mercury trine his MC/Saturn and Uranus
My Sirene conjuncts his DSC exact
His Sappho/Aphrodite conjuncts my DSC, actually DSC is on their mdp
His Salome conjunct his IC exact (he must like the dance of the 7 veils a LOT

I've also considered Circe and Hekate might be prominent in the charts of people who work in yhe science field specifically biology and chemistry, manipulating matter to create unknown things.

Accept your witchiness I have.
Circe conjunct Venus
Persephone conjunct Sun
Hekate conjunct Proserpina
Asteroid Lilith conjunct MC/nn
Sirene opposite Moon
Medea trine Saturn
Walpurga doesn't do much but its' conjunct Sekhmet and square Neptune

Interestingly Sarah Jessica Parker who was chosen for that Hocus Pocuss role has:
Circe opposite her Sun
Asteroid lilith opposite her Circe

Wow, Ail, you must be queen of us witches.

Walpurga might be especially important for me, as she is of NOrse origin and was located in Germany.

"256 Walpurga (Norse):
Keywords:
- a "white Goddess" who brings fertility, occult knowledge, and protection, but who is herself besieged by the forces of tumult, death and chaos
- divination, spellcraft, oracular activities, and other sorts of witchcraft
- bonfires, which are set upon sites of significance for both Godly and human activites
- processions and gatherings of "witches" upon famous witch-mountains, which may be assumed to be demonizations of former Heathen holy wights, wise-women, and hallowed sites
- forcible casting-out of Winter, illness and that which is worn out, by the May-King and/or Queen and their green-bedecked and licentious troops, bringing in their wake marriages and fertility of crops, beasts and mankind
- dancing, merry-making, and loosening of the usual rules governing sexual behavior
- blessing-processions, with sacred objects and offerings, around fields and villages, bringing fertility and protection from bad weather
****************************************
The Goddess Walpurga, or Waldborg, is an ancient Goddess of fertility who was known and worshipped in Germany long before the saint. She is the original European "Queen of the May", and possibly the sister of Eostre. The more arcane rites associated with her worship are conducted on the Eve of May Day, or "Witches Night". The tamer, more festive celebration of Spring would then ensue the next morning, on May Day proper.

Her name, often spelled anomalously, has been often misinterpreted as Wæl - Burga, "Stronghold of the Slain". A closer look at the archaic German spelling Walborg, gives a clue as to the original meaning, "Forest-Defense" or even "Forest-hill". Interestingly, the former interpretation seems to provide insight into her nature and function, whereas the latter describes prescisely where her followers chose to gather in old times to worship her! This being said, we will henceforward refer to the Anglo-Saxon Goddess asWealdbeorh, for clarity.

The Myth of Wealdbeorh

Folklorist EL Rochholz describes the Goddess as carrying a three-cornered mirror with which she could fortell the future, as well as a spindle. These objects are imbued with deep symbolism in Germanic mythology, and hint at a connection with Wyrd, and also with other ancestal Goddesses andIdesi, or matrons. The spindle is symbolic of both houshold industry and fertility, as it is used in the spinning of flax into cloth. She is also described as being a "white Goddess", crowned and shod with fire.
Regarding her feast-day, Grimm tells us:

"We know that all over Germany a grand annual excursion of witches is placed on the first night in May, i.e. on the date of the sacrificial feast and the old May-gathering of the people. On the first of May, of all days, the periodical assizes continued for many centuries to be held; on that day came the merry May-ridings, and the kindling of the sacred fire: it was one of the highest days in all heathenism. ...The witches invariably resort to places where formerly justice was administered, or sacrifices were offered. ...Almost all the witch-mountains were once hills of sacrifice, boundary-hills, or salt-hills."

German folk-lore tells that Waldborg is pursued by the Wild Hunt, and in her flight she is said to give her favor to those who shelter her. There is a tale concerning this, that that while fleeing the Wild Hunt, Wealdbeorh came upon a farmer and begged him to hide her in a sheaf of grain. When the Wild Hunt had passed the next morning, the Goddess was gone, but the farmer's fields had been sprinkled with gold! To this day, the sheaf of grain remains a symbol of Wealdbeorh. With the coming of warm weather, Wealdbeorh's power waxes, and even today in the Harz Mountains of Germany, it is customary to leave the windows of the home open during May, so the "White Queen of the May" could take refuge inside.

Of course, the Goddess does have her "dark side" as well. In addition to the public festivities on May Day, it is said that sorcerors and wise-women had their own part to play in the Spring Festival, giving birth to the ominous tales of Walpurgisnacht, or Witches Night. These sorcerors would gather on hilltops in the forests of Germania, and enact fertility rites, as well as divining the future. Bonfires would lit upon the hilltops, the "Fires of May", a tradition that persists in Germany to this day, where Walpurisnacht is considered to be a more ominous night than Halloween.

-------------------------------------------------------------------
" http://tribes.tribe.net/asteroid_astrology/thread/16a22ae9-95e1-4754-b854-94454ac0b375

Other goddesses associated with the sacred marriage would be ISHTAR, ASTARTE for example.

Walpurga is also interesting as she is so close to my PENELOPE and also to the stellium I have of SIVA, MOIRA; LONDON, EURYDIKE, LANCELOT from 14-16 Scorpio, and my name asteroids is on 16.57 Taurus I think.

Should we check Diana too? She's also Queen of the Witches.
I love Norse asteroids, Walpurga doesn't do anything in my chart, just a sextile to BML.

EDIT: Diana conjunct Hekate, widely conjunct North Node
