Is it me or does this shot look really weird? It's the person in the background. They make him look so small. It's the angle too, I guess. How funny! He looks good though. IP: Logged |

metaThe Constant Gardener. Well, it just seemed to me that the way she kind of invited herself into this life. When he was leaving and she came in and asked him to take her with him and she wasn't fussed over the conditions. It just coloured my view of her intentions - that she was using him. And the secretiveness of all her communications and actions. It just made me doubt that she had any real love for him. And those apparent loving moments I could define as her guilt, that in some way she did love him, but not in a traditional lovers/couples way. IP: Logged |

metaViggo is interesting. And I mean that, he's quite an interesting human being. I don't know about him as a man though. He doesn't really appeal to me. Our Moons are conjunct. I'd have to do a chart with him. But on quick observation no conjunctions but because he has so much Libra and I have so much Aries there are bound to be a load of oppositions. IP: Logged |

About Constant Gardener-I think chances are she started out wanting something over him more than wanting him, but as time went on those feelings grew deeper. She did love him. She may have taken him for granted, but the love was there. IP: Logged |

LOL - I find Gabe masculine. Particularly in pics with Halle Berry. He looks very protective. That's as masculine as it gets. He's also very loving and adoring - and that's very sweet. But I really don't like his eyes.IP: Logged |

I agree. Sincerely intriguing. What bother me about Viggo is that i have such a deeeeeeeeep interest in him, and our syn sucks. When i say "interest" i don't mean like a BM/Sean Pub hump either. I mean that i feel like i can relate to him, and i am just totally enthralled and fascinated by him. But i DO find him attractive. Crossroads. He would be someone i would just like to spend all of my time with. Someone i would never not want to be around. I would want to watch him breathe. IP: Logged |

I didn't like Rafe's character in The Constant Gardener. I suppose that's nothing unusual. I don't really like any of his characters. I didn't really like his character in The End Of The Affair either. And I love that movie. I'm looking forward to seeing The Dutchess. I think I'll really like him in that for some reason. I know you didn't, too. I suppose it just reflects the different ways in which we each perceive him as a man, rather than as a human being or an actor.IP: Logged |

Yeah, I know - I'm being very fussy! Funny thing is that I don't really have a type - like I can't say that either of them would be perfect if they fitted a certain mold. I know what I don't like a lot more than what I do like, I guess. LOL. Ralph's fabulous from the neck down.IP: Logged |

That is truly weird. I loved those characters. It was easy for me to fall in love with both of them a bit. In The Duchess, however, ... well, yeah. I was actually really upset by that character, by that movie. You really need to tell me when you see it. I'm anxious to hear your thoughts. IP: Logged |

Notice when I'm paying him a compliment he becomes Ralph. When I'm being unkind he's Rafe! Awesome pic. Love this. Perfect - perfect shoulders, perfect torso. Yes, the shirt is a tad smallish as 23 pointed out. I think it's hilarious that I pull apart someone that so many women consider so sexy. It appeals to my sense of humour. I think he has biggish hips for a man though. Making him effeminate in that sense. Do you know what I mean? He doesn't carry a suit very well. Only if the suit itself carries him. He looks good in a tux which I can't say about many men. I think tuxedos are ridiculous - but somehow he manages to look good in one. Maybe it hides his girly hips? IP: Logged |

Viggo is very masculine. But he doesn't appeal to me even though I can see that in him. It's not like it's my only requirement. Obviously. IP: Logged |

ROFL. That was too funny. What was his chemistry with Keira Knightley like. I watched some interviews on YouTube and couldn't escape the feeling of some kind of tension between them - not translating sexual tension - but actor, ego tension.

I can understand the connection with Viggo. There's something about some people that just gets under your skin - inside your head - into your soul. It's just the way it is.Funny that you feel that way about him but don't want to be consumed by him or to inhabit him though. IP: Logged |

Yes, i remember you liking this picture a lot. In fact, i think this is the ONLY Ralph picture i've heard you gush over. I don't think of his figure as "hourglass", if that's what you mean by big hips. If you remember back to The End of the Affair, when they're having sex on the couch- his arse is rather full. Not fat or flabby, but sort of like Christian's. It's well-rounded. So that could add to the hip thing you're talking about. Suits are masculine. Ralph is not. So when you try to mix a fem-man with a butch outfit, you can sense the uneven-ness. It's like when a more masculine female puts on make-up and a tight cocktail dress and goes out- you can see in the body language and in the posture that she's not in her natural comfort zone. Russell would look good in a suit, or Sean. But Ralph would look better in something more bohemian. Something dark but relaxed. IP: Logged |

I was going to post a pic of Col and say that Rafe should dress like this. But then, I thought of you and what you would be seeing - and you want him to dress like Johnny Depp.IP: Logged |

See - that's funny that you say suits are masculine and Rafe is not. Because I do see Rafe as being masculine. Very much so. I think suits are ridiculous. But every now and then you get one that looks amazing. The one that JT is wearing some pages back is fantastic. And then Daniel Craig looks awesome in a three-piece suit. Russell Crowe, btw, carries jeans very very very very well. Not many men do that.IP: Logged |

Orlando Bloom has the bohemian look down pat. Robert Plant, of course, does it oh so well. I don't like Johnny Depp either so, but his dress sense is really cool.IP: Logged |

Interesting that you said this. I don't know if you're very familiar with body language reading but watch this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RES7dHwtKkg Watch when Ralph is asked about Keira. Note that his response is very cool. He doesn't light up or gush whenever she is mentioned. Also, a key in catching someone lying is if their body language does not correspond with what they're saying. He says some positive things about her, but the entire time he is shaking his head in the "No" way (back and forth, from side to side). That tells me that there wasn't good relations there. I don't know what her chart, or their syn, is like, but i'm guessing she may have liked him more than he liked her. Or neither liked the other. Not really anyways.. IP: Logged |
