For the UK to run anything, if would have to have money. All I know, is that in the grand scheme of things, the Global North is a very fortunate place to be. Compared to the Global South countries, we all have nothing to cry or argue about. 500 of the worlds richest people, have more money than the rest of the WORLD combined. Some of these loaded people are from America, some not...

I've actually observed the same phenomena amongst the rich in Richmond. I work for a country club (which has a "platinum" rating, making it one of the best in the country, so it's elite) where the richest of Richmond are members. There are 7500 members and a vast majority are connected via family due to the fact that the people meet and mingle in the club and thus intermarry. They also help each other get jobs and trade stock tips, concentrating their wealth even more.

#2 i have been living thru those decades. i don't need to parrot anyone. you keep saying how wonderful and free we are and how unique our founding documents are, they are based on the british documents of same function. that doesn't mean anyone with power follows them - have you noticed strict adherence to the constitution in our halls of power? a contract is only as good as the intentions of those signing it...and those constrained by it too.

The last point was good, I'll give you that.

#3 i happen to agree with you that we all have inalienable rights as humans but not because the declaration of independence or constitution gave them to us. they are still there, but unless people realize we DO have an aristocracy right here in the USA, that we do NOT have the kind of government we are TRAINED to believe as kids, that freedom isn't worth much is it?

Yes. IF what you state is TRUE, then our freedom would not be worth much. However, currently, most Americans are not privy to the FACTS that you and your friends present here. I can not argue or draw conclusions based on theories that may or may not be true. For right now, my freedom is good.

I do not, and have never, joined in the off topic arguments happening in their threads. It's rude and they don't appreciate it.

It would've been nice if they gave me the respect I give them.

i was trying to explain your misapprehensions to you and if you feel condescended to maybe you shouldn't try so hard to put people in their "place"? then you wouldn't have to be looking out for attacks and condescension all the time.

it was an AMERICAN, i believe, mark twain who pointed out that the english and the americans THINK they speak the same language and that causes no end of misunderstandings. THAT was what i was trying to point out. there's no SUPERIOR or INFERIOR here, in fact we are all in the same boat and the whole WORLD is run by the same few families, with a few additions and subtractions, that have been running the world for a very long time. longer than america has even been a country.

my experience - and half my family are jewish - is that jews like other groups are made of individuals. some blessed, some creepy, some greedy, some generous, some smart and educated, some just plain human drivel.

and i object just as much to "jewish congratulators" as to "jewish haters" because both are forms of bigotry.
