"i was trying to explain your misapprehensions to you and if you feel condescended to maybe you shouldn't try so hard to put people in their "place"? then you wouldn't have to be looking out for attacks and condescension all the time."The impression you have of me reading "poorly" between the lines, and looking to put people in their place, came mainly from the beginning of this thread with the introduction of a tone of British superiority mixed with anti-semetism tones... I was irritated from that point on, in conjunction with the declaration that the U.S. is owned by The Queen. I usually don't have points to prove, or feel the need to put people in their "place"... but, considering the radical subject matter, I really couldn't help it. IP: Logged |

Kate I agree with you. Congratulatory behaviour is to me quite demeaning. Jewish people are Jewish, period. I am sorry but they are all human. It's so very PC to be congratulatory. It's all BS to me. Seriously, like we are criticizing religion? Anyone who is Jewish? Hell no. I'm concerned about special interest groups like AIPAC and the other weird stuff and couldn't give a toss about the rest. But just because I don't like AIPAC doesn't mean I don't like Jews It's the *politics* I find deplorable. IP: Logged |

You know what would be really precious to me would be if people who differ politically might get to know each other as people. We can't really talk Middle Eastern politics without fights but we can talk about love, wanting it, men, men troubles, woman troubles, pain, heartache ,loss, fear ,insecurity, etc as people. That is beautiful to me ------------------ Pluto conjunct Dejanira, Girlfriend. IP: Logged |

Actually, you're right. Things have got *a lot* worse, argument-wise, in the past. Each country has its good and bad points... I haven't lived over there for twenty years, but didn't the English get the Queen to start paying taxes? Something like that. Here: http://articles.latimes.com/1992-11-27/news/mn-977_1_royal-family We don't blindly support the Royal Family, any more than the Americans do the government. I also remember my aunt telling us that the English 'commoners' insisted that genetically modified foods be labelled as such, so that the public knew what they were buying, and she wondered why we couldn't accomplish that over here. The BS is no more accepted than it was over here when the people decided to throw their own tea party. (I haven't read the whole thread, I just had the idea that we were seen as sheep.. we aren't.) Evanski, I just saw her chart that you set at 8am, as a potential chart. I thought I saw Cancer in her, and now I see that she has a Cancer moon. She reminded me a little of a woman that had a Cancer Sun, Leo Moon, so I was wondering about Leo for her ascendant, but I don't know how that would shift the planets in her chart - which houses they would fall into. Sorry guys, I dont have time to read through pages of this...I merely skimmed the last page or so before posting, so forgive me if I commented in the wrong area. One thing I noticed about this forum is how people are always fighting over petty things. Knit-picking over precise words of what's politically/literally correct, generalizing/or not...as if that would help prove their, "overall CONCEPT," of something. I dont want to get into any debates for this simple reason,...it's pointless. I feel it's not my right to educate anyone on anything unless they ask. I think it's everyone's individual responsibility to enlighten themselves when it comes to knowledge. All I can do to help is bring up questions and let people figure it out. Sometimes debating is like giving someone the answer & shoving it down their throats before they're mentally or spiritually even capable of understanding it. I forget if it was Plato or Socrates...the best teachers dont give their students an answer, but let them acknowledge there's an issue to begin with so they go find out for themselves. I just wish people would stop arguing over petty things like generalizations...Instead, spend your time reading useful things & sharing that info. Anyways one cant blame biased media nowadays, cuz almost everyone's got the internet. Unless your in China where they filter things. (I've traveled across China before & they're surprisingly liberal, even more liberal than Italy. Your just not allowed to bash the communist that's all). There are situations where some countries filter things with other methods. For example, these days Japan's been getting a lot of bad press around the world, from their faulty govt to the Dolphin issue. BBC used to have a Japanese translated option, which they've fully removed recently (obviously enforced by Japan's govt). Under such circumstances it's still not an excuse, as your average Japanese could still access BBC or CNN news in English. Yes not everyone can read Eng, but the ones who can, dont even bother... AMOWLS, --Sorry I cant really comment on the Lara thing cuz I havent read all the posts. You know my post wasnt to back Lara per say. I just saw how people on here were starting to fight over things which they probably dont even really know about. Hence I decided to throw a few things out for people to think about. I'm not America bashing either....& obviously I KNOW not every American is clueless. I'm a dual-citizen, and partially grew up in LA, traveled around the world since childhood...so I see both sides of the coin. There's many things I love about America. It just saddens me to see many Americans with an attitude of entitlement. This makes them not care about anything except materialism; celebs, etc. I met this finance guy from NYC who grad from Harvard. He asked me how shooting in Vancouver was...& automatically assumed the weather was like Alaska, & is much worse than NYC. It generally doesnt even snow in Vancouver! only on the mountains. He was shocked to learn NYC was 20-30deg colder than Van. Also, he thought Las Vegas was in Cali!! He doesnt even know his own country! For god's sakes, Canada isnt even oceans away...it's only next door & yet many Americans think Cdns all live in igloos or forests. Then let's not even talk about the rest of the world. Anyways from my experience, many Americans I have met are like that..."Smart-Dumb," people who've grad from ivy leagues. I knew someone would pick on generalizations, like Lara saying "Queen owns USA," etc...which is why I put "the average American," in the beginning....but you cant expect me to type "your average American," every time I use the word American. Same goes for Cdns/Brits/NZ's, too, it's not that every Cdn is well informed...I was just comparing the average Cdn/Brit to American. They are honestly, noticeably better informed in general. The biggest corporate structures are usually linked to, or are the illuminati...that's a whole other ballgame I'm not going to get into.
KATATONIC/AMI, --once again the whole generalization thing...you know... The entire film industry whether seriously or jokingly says it like it is, "Hollywood is owned by the Jews." It's not offensive to anyone in this industry, cuz it is what it is. Jewish definitely played a big contributing role in building/establishing the Hollywood of today. You can pick a monopolized industry, any industry...If group A owns 65-80% of it, group B cant "truly," make any decisions. You could argue GroupA doesnt own that industry cuz GroupB still owns 20-35%...but what's the use? It's like the government system. I've met many Film ppz, (mostly Producers) who've purposely "converted," becoming Jewish just to rub shoulders with the big guys. It's true Jewish are more successful because they work hard, stick together and help each other grow as a group. Jewish & Chinese are some of the most successful immigrant groups because of their cultural/work ethics. Vancouver is much more expensive to live in than LA. 60% of Vancouver's Business sector is owned by Chinese. You'll find that the original Caucasian Vancouverites have already moved to neighbouring suburbian cities because they cant afford to live in Van. LARA, Yupz Thanks. I'm very aware of the entire historical relations btwn Britain/America/Israelis/Middle East. America only decided to fully support Israel after the tiny "establishment," (at the time) miraculously defeated all it's surrounding Arab neighbours in war. Suddenly Israel became a power to be reckoned with & America saw them as a strong ally, as well as using their country as a safe haven in the middle east...in order to reach oil. Anyways gone are those days, cuz Israel refuses to answer to America now. Obama's still trying to rein in Israel & stop them from building more settlements in Palestinian lands...America just cant stop them for few reasons. APEC is run by American Jews,...all the "American funding," comes from American Jews who would support Israel over America. Anyways currently America cant afford to officially offend Israel or they're entirely alone in the Middle East...which their troops are already having trouble staying afloat there.
OK I'm gonna stop commenting anymore cuz I feel bad for ruining this thread on Prince William. IP: Logged |

Agent, not to be a dick but perhaps its because youre in the film industry that you meet people who are shallower and are more into celebrities? None of the people I know really give a rats a** about celebrities (they do care more about politics... I am from DC). And again, the US is a powerful nation so of course other nations are going to know a thing or two about it. I didn't know that the weather conditions in Vancouver was required knowledge. Most people think Richmond VA is full of hicks (because it was the capital of the Confederacy), but it's actually an extremely liberal town. Do I automatically think New Yorkers are dumb for not knowing that? No, because I don't expect New Yorkers to give a sh*t about a tiny city like Richmond. Eta: Can you tell me what the weather's like in Richmond? Have you ever traveled here? Im on my phone, otherwise Id insert a link to the French Who Wants to Be a Millionaire where most of the audience members thought the Sun revolved around the Moon. Everyone's dumb. ETA 2: I just wikipedia'd this but... Vancouver is not warmer than New York... especially not 20-30 degrees warmer. So I don't even know what basis you have to call Americans dumb. IP: Logged |

Or it could be the cancer moon. Apparently cancerian influenced love photography....I'm not one of them. No wait, I guess I am when it involves the abstract or faces that don't belong to me.
And I'm a New Englander who stopped following politics in depth because they frustrated me, but I have more interesting hobbies than following the celebrity of the moment or watching MTV. I guess I may not be typical though because of my cross-citizenship, but who is? America is a big melting pot. Oh, and I have a Canadian friend who doesn't know much about my home state but I don't assume that she's dumb or ignorant as a result. Not many people know much about my state.

For me, the features are too strong for a Libra rising. Libra risings have more of an oval face, where the hairline is half-moon shaped.IP: Logged |
