Though until now I kept out of this thread, cause I know that it`s a waste of time.

For a problem to be resolved, there needs to be the genuine wish of all participants to resolve the problem, and I strongly suspect that`s not the case here.

I am no stranger to the dark side of human nature, including my own.
I am not disagreeing with you that we must explore our lower tendencies, or primal impulses, if you like.

What I am saying is that we cannot say that there is no good that can come from knowledge of the dark, because that is in conflict with an immeasurable number of real-life experiences.

I don't know what you have seen with those you've read charts for, but I have seen many people turn around a life of darkness, and find a way to use it for good in the world.

There are many factors that lead a person to doing harm in the world. If you want to use astrology psychologically, then you must also consider many factors in astrology.

Nessus on its own will not lead a person to abuse, there must be other factors, such as poor impulse control, unregulated aggression or emotions, isolation, substance misuse, neurological factors.

Looking into the psychology of violent or sexual offenders, there are many, many factors that *can* predict violence, but the environment also has to be right for these energies to be expressed.

We need to take all these variables into consideration if we are going to detect abusive tendencies in the natal chart, one factor is not enough in what we know of psychology, why would it be in astrology?

Anyway, I would appreciate it now if you could consider my original concerns about trivialising the mental health issues that lead to therapy, please?

However, if people are going to call others out, then why not take it a step further and engage in actual discussion.

Yes, both parties have to be prepared to really *hear* the other - perhaps it is this that you are saying is not always possible? Which I agree with. It does take a commitment from everyone involved to suspend their judgements for the purpose of the discussion.

Some beliefs are very deep-rooted, and in these cases, I do think that discussion may not be enough to find a common ground - that is an unwillingness of one party to consider the other.
In this instance, it will probably take a very painful experience to show the one who is fixed on a belief that they were lost.
