CP and I should have good synastry on the face of it. Yet I'm usually left feeling like this. Scorpio was mentioned. I wonder if Scorpio mercury is around 9 degrees. It would square my Saturn and that's a bit what it feels like. IP: Logged |

Haha, what are your placements Dop? If I remember right, you got Venus in Virgo (that's all I remember). My mercury is at 11 Scorpio (conjunct Venus/Pluto). That stellium squares a girl's Aqua saturn I've been pursuing. Her attitude/reactions to things I say is pretty similar to that clip of Sam Jackson, haha. Her Venus is also in Virgo. IP: Logged |

Yeah. My Venus at 15 Virgo should be friendly with your mercury. There's some good things synastry wise but I totally think it's Saturn. Mine is 9 Leo, square your mercury by 2 degrees. It's a strange feeling. Like have you ever felt like you just didn't really like something but had no good reason for it? Sort of like that. Which is why I'm being honest, but still friendly in a weird way. It's just a weird feeling. IP: Logged |

I'm definitely familiar with the feeling of being on the receiving end of it. My mom and sister both have their Saturns aspecting my personal planets harshly. It's a bit of a cold disapproval but "oh well" kinda feeling. My own Saturn is in 17 Sag, so it may not be the most "saturn-y" or restrictive placement. The mutable energy probably makes it more flexible than other signs in Saturn. Usually with people who have Virgo or Pisces placements, I get a little irked but not enough to strongly dislike them or anything. My Scorpio is receptive to them. My Saturn does square your Venus by 2 degrees (as does your Saturn to my Venus), not sure if it's something that can be felt in our online exchanges. My Lilith is at 7 Leo - perhaps doing something to your Saturn? Either way, I appreciate your honesty. quote: Originally posted by hypatia238: Hahaha nah you are definitely funny and from my experience libras tend to be creative like that and naturally funny. I laugh at my partners jokes 90 percent of the time and I have an acquaintance married to a Libra too and he is hilarious. It's a blessing to be with a Libra bc you guys are funny, loyal, take care of your partner and are committed.

I mean, with someone with a cancer moon, right? You would hope that there would be some evidence of the positive traits coming out. Warmth, maternal understanding somewhere in there, but no. No where in sight. And you would hope that the loss of your son would give you some sort of empathy, or tenderness, but not that either. You spew hate all over your page and claim that as your knowledge in astrology and your faith in God. How misguided can you be? I see right through you Ami. IP: Logged |

Cchampliss, what exactly has Ami done to you to warrant your angry and bitter response? I get there's fights and disagreements on the internet, but why in the world would you bring up her deceased son in this? Jeez. At least show a little decency for the dead. You're talking like you're blood-sworn enemies in real life or something. If that's the case, fine. But I highly doubt it. Am I missing something here? IP: Logged |

Would you look at the 12th house cusp for mental illness or the 6th? I find looking at both of my 12th and 6th actually speak volumes. My 12th house cusp is in Mercury and I unfortunately do overthink (anxiety) and always have paranoia, basically your standard Gemini overthinking, anxiety, nervous tension. I also have ADD (Gemini people and short attention spans). I'd say my 12th also relates to my depression since the 12th is the house of secrets and keeping secrets and overthinking secrets in your head day in and day out can lead to you going crazy! My 12th house ruler Mercury is posited in my 10th house Aries which also adds to the racing thoughts that come and go and anger that I sometimes have for myself. My 6th cusp is in Sag and I also have my Moon which depending on what house system you use, in the 6th but in Capricorn, not Sag. 6th house moons often raise the alarm of an eating disorder, which I've struggled with for fourteen years since I was (anorexia and bulimia). I've also battled with overeating (probably because my 6th house ruler is Sag ruled by Jupiter). My moon in Cap in the 6th wants tries to control health but since the 6th is Sag the moon in cap in the 6th can go overboard (Sag) with control and cause a health issue (6th). As if that weren't enough, my 6th house ruler Jupiter is in detriment in Virgo (the natural 6th house sign placement), so it's probably no wonder I've been unable to get my eating issues under control. Jupiter not only rules Sag, but is the esoteric ruler of Pisces and Pisces is often associated with drug abuse, which I have done with Adderall for my ADD in the past. These are just some things I have noticed regarding my mental illnesses and eating disorders. Thankfully I see both a therapist and psychiatrist and take medication. IP: Logged |

In my work in mental health, currently most presentations of depression and anxiety to primary care these days are linked to social issues, whether it be poor care in childhood or the stresses of adolescence and adulthood and the unhelpful thoughts, beliefs and behaviours that arise from these experiences. There seems to be more trauma and poverty-related mental health problems, than, say, psychosis, for example. And many presentations of psychosis are now linked to drug and alcohol misuse or withdrawal.I'm not sure how we would go about defining this astrologically. Certainly, we cannot simplify it, it is far too complex and multi-layered for that. If simplifying it were possible, we would be capable of more than fire-fighting, and as someone on the front line, I assure you, with the best will in the world, we are fire-fighting much of the time. I struggle to appreciate the light-heartedness of this thread. All I can see is the struggle, hopelessness and pain of those who finally conjure a shred of faith in society to seek help. Some things just cannot be reduced to humour IMO. Perhaps it is different for private therapists who only see those who have enough money to pay - bang goes 80-odd% of those who have mental health problems right away, as poverty is a major factor. Therapists in these worlds, are not seeing, or are turning away from, the true scale of the problem. IP: Logged |

The world is in worse shape than I thought if People's coping skills are so bad that they are not able to find the humor in things and laugh at themselves. Humor is an important healthy coping skill, being able to laugh at yourself is a very important coping skill. The world is becoming weak and hypersensitive and losing it's ability to cope and laugh at themselves, that is not good.Yesterday my husband started making fun of me big time instead of screaming at me to deal with the fact that I looked at him like he needed to die over something ridiculously minor. He started immitating my eyes and started describing while he joked all the messed up things he felt my eyes were communicating to him in a joking manner. He brought to my attention in a healthy way how inappropriate I was being, I couldn't stop laughing and he knew I was sorry. IP: Logged |

Is this directed toward those of us who had objections to a few things in this thread? That's quite a bold, quick, and harsh conclusion based on one discussion online don't you think? I could easily say similar things about the world being in worse shape than I thought if our characters are to be judged from a few things, rather than understanding the diversity that lay within any single person. Do you see what I'm saying? Maybe you wouldn't find humor if I joked about certain things. I'm not saying that I found anything offensive here except for Ami's typical approach to things. (Take it or leave it approach WHICH I UNDERSTAND IT'S NOT A SERIOUS THREAD BUT I DON'T LIKE BEING TOLD THAT I HAVE TO ACCEPT SOMETHING BECAUSE SOMEONE SAYS SO. IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT IT IS, I WILL PUSH BACK. HOPEFULLY THAT IS CLEAR NOW. THAT WASN'T EVEN CAPSLOCK. ALL SHIFT KEY HOMIE!! ) That said, for some the battle is real. For some the battle really is life or death. Just as I'm sure you may not appreciate if someone joked about rape, murder, robbery, abuse, etc. I've seen those things be joked about. You say that being unable to laugh at ourselves is dying out. I disagree. What you see on LL is not necessarily representative of who we are outside of here. The entire point of my post has a similar meaning to a reference to the Christian Bible, oddly enough. It has relevance. While you stare at the stye in our eyes you fail to see the stye in your own eye. IP: Logged |

It's kind of like if you and your neighbor didn't like each other. Maybe drastically different political views or whatever. Your neighbor tells you, "If you don't like my political signs in my yard then don't walk on the sidewalk in front of my house."You'd have ignored it otherwise. Everyone can support whatever political party they wish is your thoughts. But when your neighbor tells you not to walk on the sidewalk that you have every right to walk on. The way that I operate is that just because of that I'm going to be a pain in your @ss. I'd have left you alone but now I'm going to park down the street, walk down the sidewalk every day just to annoy you. That's how I am. Here, don't tell me that I should stay out because I may not like what I see. As active members of LL, we can go where we please, disagree with whatever we want. We can enter threads that we may not like. (Minus a couple of special rules in areas of the site) Each and every time I'm told by someone that I shouldn't do something. I'm going to be a big problem for them for no other reason than to shove it back at them. (Minus people who have that power, ie, police etc.) I suppose this also will be misunderstood. That's what this is. IP: Logged |
