That doesn't sound like it's intended as tongue-in-cheek humor to me but what do I know, right? Though I could easily take it as tongue-in-cheek.

It's not offensive but I guess my point is that if a person is to give "truth" (quoted on purpose) then why not put a little effort into it. It's so basic, particularly from a "professional". It's not the content. I just don't like being told "truths" that supposedly we're all in denial of. No one here is king or queen, God or goddess, or all knowing. So she can take her "truths" and shove them up her dumper if the terms are always that we're somehow so far beneath her that we're incapable of knowing our own truths. That's my problem here.
What she has to say about signs, thinks about signs I couldn't care less. It's irritating to have a person tell me things about myself that supposedly even I don't know or if I do am denying. It's not the message, it's the delivery. If she left that part out, I'd have just glanced and moved on.
Yes, this is something beyond this thread.

It is mercury retrograde right? It wouldn't be right if we didn't have a little drama. [/B]

This thread was suppose to be astrological and light and was turned into something else, everyone has brought their own agenda into this thread, projecting their own stuff and interpreting the intention of the thread through that projection not towards what it was actually intended imo.

I work with the poor and have worked extensively with severely mentally ill folks and some of my clients now are severely mentally ill. I work very hard for them often going over my time allotted for each session. I see some for free and many for just $5 or $10 so let's be clear just bc I see this thread differently from Voix and am not a big liberal obsessed with political correctness doesn't mean I don't care deeply for the poor and people with mental illness.

I am the one that is always unpopular bc I see things differently and I never go with the majority or popular opinion.

Kinda strange, I played a benefit concert yesterday to help mental health organizations. Didn't really make that connection until now. Haha.

I didn't suspect you thought that, hypathia. We're cool, girl.

You can't just post on a forum and expect private messages. And that's what comes with writing anything to a broader audience and not to your two best friends. Feedback may vary.

Exactly. If you publicly make such claims, you should expect a public reaction. It's the nature of posting on a public forum. To expect that another person is going to privately message or email you in response to an article they don't like, is unrealistic at best. Post it on a protected or private blog, if that's the case.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I will say this: I honestly don't care about your political affiliation, whether or not you're PC, or whether you're "popular" or "unpopular" on this board because of your opinions. That doesn't matter to me, and I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter to most of the people who have posted here. It shouldn't matter to you, either. You're you, and that's fine.

I only take beef with people when I feel like someone else's opinions/thoughts on a subject are being trampled on. We should all be able to openly disagree with each other - even if it's totally subjective (and let's face it, it usually is) - without being invalidated in some way. That's kind of the vibe I got when you started to talk about how astrological transits are to blame. I don't like chalking up someones opinions, which could be influenced by a whole range of factors (personal experiences, history, background, relationships, profession, anything), to astrology. It doesn't seem accurate to me, and I especially take issue when I feel that person (who feels favorably towards the poster) uses it to validate their opinion and negate everyone else. That probably wasn't your intention, but that's why I spoke up...not to make you feel unpopular or disliked, but to speak up for those who were voicing their opinion on the subject. So if you felt personally attacked by me in any way, I sincerely apologize.

I do feel like this thread has runs its course, though. Like many posts on here, I see the intent, but I absolutely disagree with the approach.

I also find it contradictory to insist that our reactions are a result of mercury retrograde as if this is what was forcing us, but then get angry at us for reacting the way we did as if we chose to do that. If it really is cause of a transit (and I don't think it is at all btw) then don't get angry at us mere humans for succumbing to the power of that transit.

I, know, right.

And edit: It's not easy to analytically write about this, I guess (?), to ground one's opinion in a pulicly understandable way in such a subjective matter, so I salute everyone who takes part in this analytically.

All the personal comments and critique of your astrology work aside, if you just focused on the original first post of this thread and acknowledged that the intro was really not appropriate because it changed the tone of the joke, then you would have saved your face and this whole messed up drama of a thread would died long time ago. That's problem solving 101.

And this has nothing to do with principles.
