I did not say that anyone was personally digging, although the opinions being expressed here will feel hurtful and harsh to the people who are concerned for their loved ones. People whose lives have been and are being directly affected by the laws that we are talking about, and are reading this.

I also did not say that anyone is taking offense to what people are saying. They might be, but I haven't noticed any fist fights.

It's simply a sensitive topic for more than a few people on this forum, and I suggested that people keep that in mind.

There have been other topics that have been sensitive to others, and when people become belligerent, they're asked to calm down.

No one is being belligerent here, but again. It's a sensitive topic, so I suggest that people tread gently.

I'm not trying to change your mind here. I simply suggested that people be a little more considerate of how other people might be feeling, as they have loved ones who are in prison right now based on the laws that we're talking about.

I don't agree that people aren't always sensitive to the feelings of others. It really depends on the topic. And yes, having relatives in prison can often be very traumatizing for people. Whether that's the case for you or not, I have no idea.

My kids are in a world where you guys are promoting the use of narcotics. In the case of Mr. Tyler, the distribution of narcotics.

I object vehemently to any activity that is against the law, whether federal, state or municipal.

If you live in Colorado or Washington, DC, then I have nothing to object to because it is the law of that jurisdiction. Even then, drugs remain soundly against federal law.

Even the President is not above the law. To change federal laws requires passage through the legislative branch.

As a United States citizen, I have taken the Oath of Allegiance and have sworn to uphold the United States Constitution and defend the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic. I take my vows extremely seriously and will act to incapacitate all who violate the Constitution.

The law is easy to understand and needs no interpretation. Drugs - including weed - are illegal and against federal law.

You will not infringe on the law or trample on the rights of my family.
