Still hard at work, but I wanted to add this in because it is a perfect explanation of why I believe Eris rules Libra.

I hope this makes sense.

Still have to work, huh?

Are you seeing the light at the end of the tunnel yet? I don't mean, "Do you think you are going to die from work overload?" I mean, is it almost done? =)

Thank you for this intriguing video, thanks for giving us the benefit of the doubt, that we would be able to see what you are getting at! It is a fun challenge for me to try and piece it all together...'looking forward to you (hopefully) revealing how you were connecting the dots as well.

Isolation/qualia versus oneness brainstorm:

'Not sure if science's inability to ascertain whether or not all people see red as red warrants deeming color an illusion, or if that proof's elusiveness is definitive evidence of isolation within ourselves.

Is isolation (qualia) even real, can we say it's an absolute? Maybe it's an absolute for some things (like color) but not for other sensory experiences that are arguably just illusions.

For instance, how about beauty? When a number of people think something is beautiful, that suggests an inner sameness of perception, which is communicable by just acknowledging what is beautiful and what's not. There are pleasing dimensions (Golden Rule) and there are jarring dimensions (which brings us back to our musings about numbers and the soul), but what about sensory input that don't seem to be affected by the Golden Rule? Maybe scientists haven't found the part of the brain where beauty recognition happens...until they find it, is beauty an illusion?

I guess I'm confused about all the ramifications of those theories in the video, and I'm trying to fill out a more complete picture of what they entail, because otherwise I feel like I'm not seeing the whole point. Resorting to wikipedia:

quote:
The importance of qualia in philosophy of mind comes largely from the fact that it is seen as posing a fundamental problem for materialist explanations of the mind-body problem. Much of the debate over their importance hinges on the definition of the term that is used, as various philosophers emphasize or deny the existence of certain features of qualia. As such, the nature and existence of qualia are controversial.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qualia

Whew, at least I'm not the only one thinking this is too really more complicated than it seems.

Anyway, the children who don't understand that there are divisions between minds seem to be operating on the assumption that we are all psychically connected. Rather than dismissing that as a primitive failure to understand reality, why don't scientists look closer at the possibility that the children simply have a different Theory of Mind? Or do the scientists behave like the chimpanzees who don't even realize there might be a difference between adults and children? =) I'd like to know why it doesn't occur to them to hypothesize that children know something they don't know. 'Not suggesting children may all be psychic, but that their natural state, prior to social conditioning, is something that probably reflects a spiritual reality that we'd be wise to open a linguistic space for.

The lecturer here singles out language as having potential to cross the explanatory gap (as opposed to something like body heat telepathy.) What he said reminds me of the Language of Maximum Clarity, an idea put forth by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, which is about the same thing: assuming there's a way to speak that transcends qualia. The lecturer here suggests that someday that language may be spoken...I suppose he means, universally...I like to think it's already happening in fits and spurts. I think it's likely to be one of the ingredients in an experience of communion.

This congenitally blind painter learned to "see" by feeling objects and pairing his feeling with descriptions from seeing people. According to an MRI, the visual part of his brain is active, unlike that of other blind people's. Is that a crossing of the Gap?

What other kinds of language bridge the gap? I love thinking of all the different possibilities. You know I believe there is potency in subtlety: the more people can mutually pinpoint the finest, most delicate, barely-existent phenomena, they more they can prove out their inner sameness, by using language to corroborate the fact that they are focusing identically down to the minutest detail.

And I would also think that hypnosis and the power of suggestion also have that potential. They work off of that invisible yet strong web of common perception between us, which makes it possible for meta-messages to reach in and tinker with our thought processes.

Another language exists that is predicated on a belief that there are psychological commonalities between people-- various common threads woven through people that render their "purely subjective" ways of being less subjective...and that would be astrology. =)

Speaking of that why don't I finally apply this puzzle to Eris, candidate for ruler of Libra! So I went back to page 8 and enjoyed re-reading what you wrote there.

....

Libra is an ideal vehicle for exploring the co-arising of contrasting forces. The energy tries to discover the value in contrasting forces and develop a harmony between both forces, using their value/beauty as a harmonizing or synergistic factor. Libra also embraces the idea that contrast isn't bad and should be afforded respect and non-judgment.

So, tying that in with the video, it makes sense that Libra is so invested in language and modes of harmonizing: it's trying to bridge that gap. It's bringing together the self with others as a matter of course and so is uniquely qualified to create and speak a unifying language.

Something like that?

With the discovery of Eris, the edge of the universe becomes a paradox, "In order for a thing to exist, all other things must arise in contrast. Without contrast, existence can not occur". In more simplistic terms, "the chicken and egg arise simultaneously, because without one, neither the chicken, the egg, nor the person asking the question could exist".

So Eris is kind of radical, kind of at the boundary of what conventional wisdom (is that an oxymoron?) can wrap its paws around. Is it like, Eris is where the thinkable and unthinkable converge? Or applied to Libra, where the speakable and unspeakable work themselves out?

"You and I must share a similarity in order to express a difference." Hmmm. Maybe this happens on an interpersonal level because it's happening on a universal level...what is that fine line between a galaxy and the surrounding darkness? Is the galaxy real and finite (isolated), or just a concentration of glowing objects, the apparent concentration of which is always purely relative to the position of the viewer? Am I alone in this body or completely absorbed in, yet simultaneously separate from, something bigger?

Well I guess I am belaboring the point...just trying to lay enough on the table for you to be able to determine to what extent I have seen what you are seeing here. And I'd love for you to elaborate on what you were thinking when you saw that video and thought of Eris...when you get a bit more free time.

~segway~

I've enjoyed ruminating about the following topics so much, I almost hate to try and set my thoughts in writing...it was fun having them as wandering animals. But here goes:

Yes. Though I squirm voicing my agreement, because part of me still loathes the idea of anyone perceiving me as a liar. My real name means "full of honor," I've always taken that to mean honesty. But here I am getting older and feeling forced to reckon with the inevitability of lies, the unsung usefulness of lies, the right to lie. Oddly enough I feel like this is my part destiny...to learn how to comfortably distance myself from my words. Maybe not "lie," but say something other than what my moral impulse would typically dictate. Otherwise I'm just too vulnerable or self-condemning.

This definitely lines up with how I perceive the Scorpios in my life: they seem to be able to draw a sharp line between what they want to communicate, and what they know they don't want to say. Never any overt mulling things over.

I think it's also a kind of shadow play, telling a different truth just by what they don't say.

Bingo. That is one of the things at the heart of why I married my husband.

Also, I just realized that my MC is conjunct the midpoint of my Mars and Moon, which of course square each other. So I've been interpreting that (for the past five hours, since I discovered it) as, I have always sought a very active solution to the moon-Mars square. Relationships had to accomplish something productive to help me resolve that square.

I wonder if I've ever known a person like that in real life. Boy that would be...exhilarating. =)

As it stands, I've supposed that if I am ever single again, I would love to try living alone, making a life for myself. It takes a lot out of me to be in relationships. I've always been prone to taking self-sacrifice to an extreme...I've wondered if therapy or just generally becoming a more whole person would alter that tendency, or if it's just constitutionally me. I'm really curious about what I could possibly evolve into.

Once in a while, I do get something like fresh air circulating all throughout myself, where I feel very optimistic and creative, and in those states of being, my darker habits seem laughably over-dramatic. This actually happens quite often when I eat healthy, while the sun is shining. It's more difficult when it's cold outside and I had Doritos and hummus for lunch.

Sending this off with good wishes for you, that all is well.

'Night!

PS Thanks again for that Venus/Uranus reading. =)

There's about to be a new moon in my Eighth House.

I've sort of been feeling like the end of my time on Lindaland is drawing near. But I'm not sure if I'm just feeling washed out from all the Pisces planets transiting my Scorpio or what ahaha. Though, change is coming, it seems.

This year my progressed Artemis is going from Virgo to Libra.
Dias is going to leave my Tenth House and enter my Eleventh.
And Kronos is peddling around Scorpio for the next forever, eventually hopping from my Third to my Fourth House...

When I joined Lindaland, Dias was in my Ninth and Kronos was making his way into my Third. Around that time, my family did some moving and we moved out of the city to our country cabin. I felt a little trapped truth be told since our whole one vehicle was taken by my mumma to work during those summer days while all my friends in the city partied it up. So I grew an online life! And it's sort of okay, but I think the stars are pointing to me getting out there again, finally.

Sort of out of nowhere, I know, but I had to get it out.

EDIT Unrealising-ly using the alien emote twice. I must really not be feeling excellent right now looool. And I've taken up referring to the planets by Greek names, don't mind meeee.

I feel ya, though all this Pisces energy feels so refreshing for me. As if all my to-attention Virgo-ness has a place to put up her feet and dissolve.

The energy shift in LL has been an interesting one to observe and difficult not to get swept away in. Such an intense Uranian upheaval with the crucifixion of Sweet Peas and then subsequent Piscean resurrection into a new form, where people are compelled to come and dump their sins.

I'm not sure I am done with LL, but I am well turned off by the social structure. The passive-aggressiveness and bullying is starting to wear on me. I am still working so I haven't been able to write an explanation of my last post, add some insights I had about Capricorn back when I was house sitting for my friend, or reply to your question Red. Things are finally becoming more mutable again for me though =D so hopefully it won't be much longer.

Who knows what will happen, I do feel that shift though and you came to the right place to get it off your chest. =)

I write books in my head and never actually produce them. It's a frustrating challenge for me to bridge that gap between instantaneous creation in my head and the long process of writing it all out.

This morning I woke up with a new one: working title "Nick"

It's probably the first satirical piece to pop into my head.

Premise: Kid is removed from his home and placed in foster care on Christmas eve. His only fond memory of home life is waiting for Santa to come. As he gets older it becomes a secret OCD fixation. He comes up with all sorts of logical reasons for why Santa still exists (e.g. people buy their own presents on Christmas because they are generally bad and Santa no longer brings them gifts). He does everything in his power to be a nice person and resolves his lack of Christmas presents every year by engaging in the ultimate niceness (wishing his presents to the less fortunate).

Eventually Santa actually does appear and passes the torch. Through unlimited selflessness, unwavering belief, and unconditional kindness the main character (Nick) passes the test and becomes the best candidate to replace Santa's 1,225 year term. It turns out Santa is a powerful sorcerer and he trains Nick in the mighty art of "Santaria" (okay I made that up just now haha, that belongs in no book evar). After Santa passes the torch he dematerializes (or whatever Santas do when they move to the next realm) and Nick is left with the reins, so to speak.

Unfortunately at this point we begin to discover that Nick is not good because he has a particularly good heart, but because it is his fixation to be good.... In fact, Nick is a bit of a sociopath. He proceeds to tackle the stuff Santa never fixes like world peace, poverty, and starvation, but he does it through totalitarian rule, reproductive sterilization, and chemical lobotomies. By the end there is this underlying theme that the "Antichrist" turns out to be Santa Clause.

It's a really fun read. too bad I'll never write it HAha

^Man I do that too! Sort of. I just imagine things. Like, pretend I'm a character in a setting, with powers, imagine a scene happening where I am there, what the character would do, plot...I don't even know man, but it's fun as hell.

Half the time I don't even really develop actual story. Like, why is my character fighting that character, who just made a car crash? How did we get powers? Yeah, 'cause that might take actual work and thinking. I just ride along with the slurry that is imagination.

Yah I feel better maybe I was just drained from being inside too much. God, the winter gets me down. But I went to a dinner party with my friends, everyone bring something and we all just mix and match plates. Any ways, we ate, watched movies, it was grand. Feeling way better. The liquor store closed 15 minutes early though...so we didn't have refreshments l o l.

I love the Virgo/Pisces dynamic. Sins...I rather like the dynamics between opposing signs, actually. It's fun to see how they're both different and similar. Good ol' peregrine laughs because it was his mischief that began the Sweet Peas conflagration. Well I call it a conflagration! Burned a forum to the ground lmfao...

Do you have a favourite opposition pair? I like Gemini and Sagittarius. That's an interesting pair.

Slacker Xiiro reporting for duty!

So, much of the intense work has finally been resolved (of course it all had to wait until the Sun progressed into Aries) and I promptly got sick, which required some cocoon time. Finally I am peeking through the seam of my seed and stretching supple green tendrils toward the light.

My garden is doing well. Winter was unexpectedly long and cold for San Diego, so I lost many of my tropical plants. The blackberries are covered in white blossoms and have integrated well with the white rose bush I planted them under, so big white roses randomly burst out among the delicate white berry blossoms. The stepping stone walkway is drenched in sweet alyssum and all sorts of fun munchies are sprouting up from last year’s seed drop. I planted basil, oregano, thyme, parsley, chamomile, and chocolate mint. I can’t wait for the grapes and the mulberry to bear fruit!

I’ll try again with the mango and the ice-cream bean =C

It seems like there is so much to catch up on. So let’s begin with the older stuff.

My Capricorny Experience:

Back while I was housesitting for my friend I decided to take a nice bath. I was laying in the tub watching the steam rise when I noticed something odd. My friend’s bathroom has a full sized window in the middle of the shower wall. It isn’t a common thing to find in bathrooms and even though the glass is opaque, there is an odd sense of exposure.

From below, the outside light played with the steam in a way I had never seen before. Suddenly an unexpected light bulb switched on in my head. I was mesmerized, witnessing vapor reveal the secret life of air, its hidden swirls and billows. I blew breath into the air and a pillar of fog projected into the space above me. The world unfolded into Newtonian clockwork and the profound delicacy of Capricorn dawned on me. I am so used to seeing Capricorn in the shadow of Saturn, the goaty-ness of the sign, where things are stable, calculated, and established.

BUT

There is gentleness to Capricorn which I can only describe as “apparentness”. Like vapor dancing on air, Capricorn floats on the surface of spirit and makes it apparent with matter. What we see as solid and structured is in a constant state of change (the battle between Uranus and Saturn), but Capricorn is always hard at work, making those fluctuations apparent/material. The spectrum of Capricorn is vast, from the solid metallic structures in the core of a planet, to the ribbons of smoke dancing from an incense stick.

Perhaps this is why Capricorn influenced people have such a tendency toward establishing a solid outer persona; partially because they sense the potential impermanence of their self, partially because they comprehend their own capacity for delicacy. Who knows?

Next time.... WTH did that video have to do with Eris?

Morning, Xiiro!

Oh it's nice to hear how your plants are doing! Better luck next year with the ice cream bean, ay? Me, I've got a big bouquet of daffodils in a vase here, plucked off our front bank by my kids. =)

Did SE ask about Cap? I thought so, but can't find his question.

Well, I don't know what he asked, but thank you: it's such a relief when people acknowledge Cap sensitivity, delicacy. The idea of a pillar of vapor is perfect.

As a feminine sign, I think we often function like an actual mother would be towards her children through a harsh winter: deeply pained by circumstance but feeling duty bound to conceal it, so as not to alarm anyone. When others see our predicament without our having to say anything (and thereby make things worse) we are grateful.

But if others just want to say we are heartless stoics, we see that as another kind of success: the triumph of our careful masquerade.

Changing the channel:

I didn't want to load you up with even more posts, but I wanted to tell you at some point that I think your Santa story would make a great movie. I love the juxtaposition of chemical lobotomies & sterilization with Christmas imagery.

"Hey what's this under the tree? Says 'Happy Potion' on the label...must be good! Anyone else want a sip?"

*twisted rendition of Silent Night begins*

(Of course...I already listen to stuff like that.)

Take care =)

SE didn't ask, it was just a random ah ha moment. I like your description of the mother, it reminds me of my first real introduction to Cap moms. My high school girlfriend (an Aquarius of course) had a Capricorn mom and she was generally terrible. She had quite a bit of difficulty understanding her daughter's creative nature and her worry for her daughter's stability developed into a feeling of constant disappointment. I formed an early opinion of cap moms around my experiences with my gf's mother.

Ironically enough she eventually married a Pisces and turned out to be a little emotionally needy. It is a vast contrast to my Cap aunt who is so independent she almost seems like the family's retired accountant. When some business needs to get done people call her, but the majority of her life is spent away, traveling and living between her home in Hawaii and her home in San Diego. Even her husband is so busy with his personal pursuits, they probably spend 4 months out of the year together.

I see now though that the odd traits I was attributing to Cap had a lot to do with mixing non-cap traits. On its own, I see Cap is capable of strong harshness AND strong gentleness. I guess part of the challenge is discovering what degree of pressure is perfect for each individual situation instead of falling into an assumption based, predetermined, and regimented pattern of tried and true methods for dealing with classifications of experiences.

After I wrote that and hit send, I thought, "Hmm. Xiiro must think I'm a total dork, getting choked up all the time."

But I did get choked up! And that was all I wanted to say.

Okay so I watched this video, aptly named Transgender considering that's been a topic that floated around for a bit, and I dunno, I want your opinions...

I think it's is really Neptunian with some Uranus mixed in - the song and the video both. I'd say maybe 70% Neptune and 30% Uranus...I dunno, it's a liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiittle morbid and strange. It sticks out to me because I feel like it's a good window to the unearthly energy that is Uranus and beyond.

And that leads me to another musing I had...I feel like Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto energies are often experienced in small or diluted doses. I mean, S-turn is literally the border between reality and the beyond that is Uranus and co., right? So wouldn't it make sense that those outer energies are easily overpowering? Unearthly, overpowering, fascinating...

Playing with fire! Someone once said they liked strong Pluto influence because she couldn't stop thinking about her man, she was getting jealous...I'm like, noooo that doesn't sound like a strong Pluto influence. Bigger, more intense things would happen if Pluto was really strong! Careful what you claim to like...

I dunno, I feel like I'm an old person shaking my fist at the youngsters.

That is Goddess Bunny . This video (sans Crystal Castles) has been on the internet for a long time. Crystal Castle always sounds like Neptune/Uranus to me, but The Goddess Bunny part is definitely Uranian. I would Mix Uranus with Chiron though personally, I'm not seeing much Neptune beyond the fuzzy cinematography and pastel pink colors. Most of the Neptune is driven home by the music in my view.

Unearthly, overpowering, fascinating...

From my perspective the outer planets aren't diluted, but influence us on a level of reality we are not often attuned to. Saturn is not the only border.

The Moon is the first border between our internal and external world:
Sun - Individuality
Mercury - Data Processing
Venus - Values/Appreciations
Moon/Earth - Personal Environment/Body

Our external world is bordered by Saturn:
Mars - Cause for Presently Existing
Ceres - How We Fit Into The World
Jupiter - Evolution From Experiences
Saturn - Structures/Boundaries/External World's Body

Each planet is contained within the orbit of the next (so our individuality exists within our data processing capability, which in turn is bound within our capacity to value or qualify objects, which in turn is bound within our personal environment and body).

Each set of planets is also contained within the next set. So just as the external world contains our personal world, our external world is contained in an essential realm (or what many refer to as a spiritual realm). I call this realm essential, because it is the essence out of which our reality springs forth. Though our Sun is the light which illuminates or "brings to life" any object it sees and therefor the Sun feels it is the creator (and in a sense it is our individual creator), our world (including our Sun) is contained in and manifests out of the essential realm.

The essential realm closest to our external world, begins with:
Uranus - Idealized Imagination which envisions objects and experiences before they are wrapped in Saturn and made manifest.
When Uranus is influencing us, our ideals become the most important thing in the world, we easily lose touch with responsibility and focus only on freedom to pursue something greater.
Neptune - The undefined/unified soup or "animated goo" out of which Uranus shapes and imagines objects
When Neptune influences us we seek to break down any wall which separates us from others. We refuse to acknowledge anything which could keep us from giving up all of our self to melt into others.
Pluto - Consciousness/The lidless eye which sees all, even no-thing/every-thing
When Pluto influences us we are forced to face our flaws, destroy them, and rise from their bones. The strong feelings of jealousy or obsession are a longing to transform as quickly as possible (Pluto hates fakeness or ignorance with a passion). Pluto doesn't care if you get hurt along the way, only that you learn the lesson NOW, and your scars remind you to never make the same mistake again.
Eris - The paradox of existence based on being seen. The threshold between order and chaos
When Eris influences us, we are challenged to discover and accept raw truth or ruin our self with ignorance. The truth is often something profound and reality shifting and because of its contrary/disharmonious nature with the way we have been going about our life, it is often difficult to accept. Accepting Eris's lesson means leaving behind a life of ignorance and walking into a life of cosmic understanding/purpose.

I dunno, I feel like I'm an old person shaking my fist at the youngsters.

I certainly identify with that feeling, people have to learn on their own though. I remember when I was very young, my mom bought a Wok and I was really intrigued with the non-stick coating inside it. She tossed some oil in the wok and I got this strong urge to feel the oil against the non-stick surface. The heat setting was turned from red to white (which I assumed meant "cold"), so I stuck my hand flat down on the center of the wok. Apparently white meant "very hot" and I burned the crap out of my hand.

The same goes for discovering planets. We hear little word lists of planets and think, "that sounds cool" or "I should avoid that", but we don't really get it until we are neck deep in an experience with them. Consider that your friend's life karma may be ALL about learning hard Pluto lessons and no matter what you say, they will be drawn to follow that path.

Nothing wrong with dropping a warning, but at a specific point we just have to pat the person on the head and give them our number in case of an emergency lol.

When in doubt, send them to the Howler Monkey Choir for a good howling.

Xiiro: That is Goddess Bunny .

That makes sense! And I guess it's my Uranian nature, but I appreciate Goddess Bunny as beautiful. When I think about it, yeah, the Neptune is in the music and pastels/fuzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

What are you, by the way, Xiiro? Like dominant planet? Astro.com says Pluto and Mercury are tied for me, which makes sense (Pluto in his own sign, Mercury in his own house, both signs/houses highly populated). I suppose I'll go with that. Throw in a little bit of both the Sun and Uranus and you got me.

Personally, I see your Virgo Moon lots, but more in the nuances...hmmmm...if Chiron really is like Jupiter in a wheelchair, I'd say you seem kinda Chiron...ic? Chironic? Chronic?

Not sure, if you direct me to where on Astro.com that info is, I'll check it out. For the most part, Mars seems to play a major role in my chart (which sort of surprised me). Mars is my chart ruler and my Lord of Geniture if you fault my Jupiter for being retrograde.

The Moon being noticeable is not too surprising. My Moon is directly related to both Jupiter and Mercury in my chart and the opposition between both Jupiter and Mercury dominates my written and spoken communication. The Chiron mention is also not too surprising considering Chiron is in my first house and part of my Mercury involved Grand Trine.

I have difficulty putting my finger on particular energies in my hodgepodge of a chart. But I certainly can understand why you would see those two in me.

Are you feeling okay? Be honest, damn it! You seem a teensy bit off...

About astro.com: http://www.astro.com/cgi/genchart.cgi

Click 'Pullen/Astrolog' and on the drop-down menu below that, 'Simple chart delineation by Walter Pullen'.
THEEEN ctrl-F "percent" and it'll take you to the little table of all the info.

Of course, it is calculated and mechanically generated and all that...so ya kno, some people don't feel like it's really them.

It says this

Planet: Position Aspects Total Rank Percent
Sun: 45.0 ( 3) + 32.7 ( 3) = 77.7 ( 1) / 12.6%
Moon: 40.0 ( 5) + 32.9 ( 2) = 72.9 ( 2) / 11.8%
Mercury: 53.5 ( 1) + 13.4 ( 7) = 66.9 ( 3) / 10.8%
Venus: 32.0 ( 7) + 7.4 (10) = 39.4 (10) / 6.4%
Mars: 33.5 ( 6) + 26.9 ( 4) = 60.4 ( 5) / 9.8%
Jupiter: 45.0 ( 4) + 10.4 ( 9) = 55.4 ( 7) / 9.0%
Saturn: 30.0 ( 8) + 15.0 ( 6) = 45.0 ( 8) / 7.3%
Uranus: 25.0 (10) + 15.7 ( 5) = 40.7 ( 9) / 6.6%
Neptune: 20.0 (11) + 39.0 ( 1) = 59.0 ( 6) / 9.5%
Pluto: 50.0 ( 2) + 11.3 ( 8) = 61.3 ( 4) / 9.9%
Chiron: 27.0 ( 9) + 0.0 (11) = 27.0 (11) / 4.4%
Node: 12.0 (12) + 0.0 (12) = 12.0 (12) / 1.9%
Total: 413.0 + 204.7 = 617.7 / 100.0%

I'm not sure if I am solar because my Neptune kind of blurs it all out. Several seem fairly close in strength and that could certainly count for not feeling associated with a specific planet. I expected my Node to be more powerful considering it is conjunct Pluto. Dunno =)

I'm doing well, I just use a different program than Astro.com for drawing my charts. It's not as pretty as astro.com though, so when I post charts on LL I post from there.

Okay, I am frustrated. I have tried to sit down and write my Eris response and for the life of me it all sort of just unravels. The problem ultimately is that it is a feeling which I am trying to squeeze into tiny descriptive boxes. As the planets get further away, they become increasingly difficult to describe.

I keep seeing videos that remind me to respond though so hopefully I can just form some sort of Eris playlist until the energy is conveyed. /shrug

First, think about how you look. Really picture your facial features in detail (look in a mirror if you need to). Next think about how you think those features are perceived by others and how that makes you feel about your self. Now watch this (don't read further until you have watched the video):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rs0sGbTuZcc

This is particularly poignant to me because I have Eris conjunct my ASC, but it still applies to most people because the majority of us have Eris in Aries. The "Eris" part of this concept is the distraction of image, which keeps us caught up in a perpetually destructive lie. A lie that states "I look this specific way, and that means I deserve to be treated certain ways by others". Ultimately, each of us sees something different when we look at the world, and that means the world is not the collective drama we have become so enthralled with believing is real. This perception disconnect or "explanatory gap" is socially ignored. Instead we base our entire sociology on the pursuit of sharing qualia. This is of course not our fault, we are a baby species who has only recently learned how to communicate via language.

Eris is a torturer, an instigator, and a trickster. Just like the above video, these subjects experienced a certain self image which brought them life-long suffering (torturer). This same torture results in a desire to be more attractive to others (instigator). Perhaps this is accomplished through the use of beauty products, or charming social graces. Ultimately they are all being fooled, because what they see in the mirror is a personal experience (trickster). It will never be how others perceive them, yet they live out their entire lives oppressed by things they feel make them fundamentally flawed.

Here is another video discussing how different our individual perceptions are based on language.
http://www.boreme.com/posting.php?id=30670

These are facets of personal Eris experiences. On a universal level, Eris represents the threshold where chaos dances with order (or creates discord with order when ignored), the balancing point between what is able to be experienced, and what will never be. The universal division which eventually results in a bunch of bald monkeys, on a tiny blue rock, believing in the value of things like money over other things like life. The world and our perception of it is a personal experience, even if several beings are experiencing with us. Like eating at a restaurant, everyone is eating, but they aren't all eating off the same plate.

I fear I'm babbling again, sorry. I'll try more when it comes to me.

^Did I read you talking about writing an astro book at one point? Or was that Faith saying you should? Or am I just imagining things omg?
I think it would be great, though I DO remember you saying you aren't exactly good at sitting down and condensing or whatever, getting it all onto paper/into text. Maybe you could employ an amanuensis.

This reminded me of something I read...that it was during the last Age of Gemini we first started writing. Baby species indeed...let's see, I tried tackling the math and if it works, which I guess it does, humans came about during an Age of Cancer about 100,000 years ago?

I wanna know what happened during the Age of Scorpio damn it. The last Age of Leo melted the glaciers that overtook the earth, Cancer saw to the domestication of animals and settlements turned into towns/cities...Age of Pisces brought religion. What did the arachnid contribute I wonder...?

edit: The last Age of Scorpio ended the last longest ice age and a lasting extinction of species began. Cool, I'll take it!

Now I'm rambling. Uninterestingly at that, while Xiiro's rambling was kinda interesting and actually on topic lmfao!

Yeah, I fail at actually consolidating my thoughts. Perhaps one day all the tiny bursts of writing will culminate into that book LOL.

I hope there isn't a theme of global climate change on Mutable Ages and mass extinctions on Fixed ones =/

I was thinking about the same thing: Xiiro, you've written enough on this site alone to make an excellent astrology book. If you gave me an outline of the topics you wanted to cover, I could scavenge them (tips for locating threads where you've written extensively appreciated ), assemble a manuscript, and then you would only have to fill in the blanks. Then I could review and pose any questions that I think an average reader may be unclear about.

It may take a while, but I'd enjoy the project. Just an offer!

More later, about Eris.

Hmm, that's not a bad idea. I would like to email you about an idea I just had if that's cool?

I look forward to your Eris response. I miss tossing ideas back and forth with you.

Oh great, I love ideas! You are always welcome to email me. Do you still have my address?

What you wrote about Eris is brilliant, thank you for setting my mind in gear with a whole new concept I haven't really sat with before.

For now, just two questions:

1) Both videos dealt with beauty...human beauty and natural beauty (as described in color.) Is that a coincidence of does it tie in with Eris ruling Libra somehow?

2) Does Eris in Aries explain the unprecendented genocide of the past century...where the "explanatory gap" has been filled in with war/Aries energy? Maybe?
