I should get to bed too. My alarm's going off in a few hours and I've got a huge day tomorrow (or, as it's after midnight - today). Want to be on the ball.IP: Logged |

Loving your work, DD. I agree with you on Conjunctions. Like I said in my reply I think they are powerful links where people share the same energies. I have felt it powerfully more than once, here are some of my closest:- Moon/Pluto CNJ Moon/Pluto Mars CNJ Sun/Saturn Mars CNJ Moon Jupiter/Neptune CNJ Moon Moon/Pluto CNJ Mercury In all of those I am the person on the left. On the right are different people, only one is a romantic relationship (mr bm) the others are not interested, 2 are my kids, 1 is my dad! Of course it seems normal to look at your family and think: that is just how react. Or whatever! Conjunctions slot right into this, in my view. As always LL Astro seems to be suffering from an over-emphasis on romance and sexual relationships, and ones in the early stages at that, either early or so early they are in the imagination. I doubt there are many posters without friend or family with charts to analysis, I do sometimes wish people would think outside the box a little. IP: Logged |

I agree, conjunctions in synastry can feel very familiar. Trines are pretty wonderful, too. I don't see LL "suffering" from a focus on love and relationships. Relationships are very important to many people still searching for someone, and it is understandably what interests most people in Astrology. More "serious" students can still find things to interest them, or start their own topics, if they have something more to say. Also, I think it makes sense that the majority of astro inquiries involve relationships in the early stages. The imagination is where we make the choice to even give a relationship a chance, and what better time to consult the chart? After the early stages, relationships mostly either break down or find what works for them. By then, they probably know each other well enough, and they know the partner's chart, the composite, and the synastry well enough, that they dont have to post on a messageboard in order to find something out about the person; who they are already fairly intimate with.

BM,ah is that a quiz again? "Moon/Pluto CNJ Moon/Pluto" Mr BM? It couldn`T be your kids nor your Dad, as Pluto-Pluto-conjunction is a generational one.
"Mars CNJ Sun/Saturn" Mr BM again?
"Mars CNJ Moon" Your Dad. "Jupiter/Neptune CNJ Moon" Kid 1. "Moon/Pluto CNJ Mercury " Kid 2. If that is true, how does your kids`Mercury deal with your Pluto? Needless to say, I absolutely agree on your take on conjunction and also on the fact that relationship doesn`t need to be a romantic one.
HSC,
I do agree with you, too. It`s understandable that people get curious, but sometimes it almost feels like people want the stars to give them admission to pursue a relationship or stay away from it. I see that there is a risk to depend too much on astrology. Having said that, I am one of those synastry-obsessed. I just find it absolutely fascinating. Oh BM and others, so are we going to do conjunction - quizzes?
my planets are left, too. No romantic relationships though. One is an aspect with my mother, my father, my youngest and middle brother and Sean Bean. Pluto conjunct Mars Uranus conjunct Sun Venus conjunct Mars (a wide one with 4.5 degree) Venus conjunct Saturn NN conjunct Moon IP: Logged |

BM,lol, Yes I thought what you wrote was comparably "tame". For you anyway. OH and I did get them right? What have I won? (It wasn`t that hard anyway, as I remembered that your Dad and you share Moon-Mars and Mr BM and you have something Martian-Saturnian somehow; it was pretty esay from there) IP: Logged |

Yeah, DD, you get me, I think I exercised considerable restraint. Just like now. What can I say, I'm old, jaded, I just spent half an hour vaccuming my sofa. I don't spend time pontificating why the postman hasn't declared his undying love when we share Venus Conjunct Neptune. Oh, and AG, I'm staying in with Sean tonight. That other guy can just wait. Anyway, whatever he's after, he ain't getting it. IP: Logged |

Ah thanks, I`ll accept the price. Intersting you chose the example of Venus conjunct Neptune, as I have that in the synastry with Jude (his Venus - my Neptune). But you didn`t choose that on purpose, did you`? Oh and which of Sean`s films is keeping you at home?

No, because I didn't know that.Neither have I asked the postman for his birthdata. Generally I say something like thank you very much, or good morning. He's got a nice arse, though. Sean is in a new drama called Red Riding tonight. He's not exactly playing a romantic hero role, apparently he is suspected of child murder. That's the character, not Sean. Better go get the kids in bed so I can watch it. Yeah, not in bed yet, no discipline in this house, it's full of Uranian types.

BM,yeah, well that sounds very much like a Sean-role, doesn`t it? Oh yes, I know, he`s versatile. Just I have never seen him in a role, in which he didn`t ooze sex-appeal. He`s not so flexible in that regard. Always the same old sexyness. Not complaining though OH yes and Uranian kids don`t sleep. I was one myself. I remember. Spanky.
good morning. How was your night? Could you even sleep with all that excitement that you can talk to us again?

p.s Just before I forget, my Venus is Opposite mr bm's Neptune. Which is on my Ascendant... Venus rules my 7th house. Neptune rules his 7th house. We aren't from the same generation. p.p.s The shared Moon/Pluto is a very good friend of mine. I also share this with AG. p.p.p.s CrazySagGirl is appealing for advice. Spunk? You will have far more clue than me, my advice was quite useless, but I had to say something. IP: Logged |

Thanks for that BMPoor girl. You can tell she is distressed by how scattered her words are. It's just poured out of her like a torrent. No cohesion, everything jumbled. I just feel so sad for her. IP: Logged |
