LOL PA. Tim Roth is brilliant. I'm not seeing it, but hey, whatever works for you? I've got a strange amount of people I know from Australia. I should check my synastry with the place IP: Logged |

That was a hilarious thing to say writesomething (the boring bit).I like Tim Roth generally, PA, but I haven't seen his new show yet. I'm not sure when or if I'll get a chance. IP: Logged |

Australia's not boring. It's not that much different from the US really. If anything, I would think that the east-coast of Oz would be similar to California in many many ways. The best thing about Oz is the people. But we are a bit - kind of backwards, but - maybe laid back is a better expression. Generally speaking, of course, you get your arse holes wherever you go.IP: Logged |

Writesomething...no, I'm not really winging it so much now. This is the longest I have taken to put together a plan when I move, saving money, etc...and I have wanted to move back for 2 years, but only have been planning it for about 6 months. In my 20's I used to pick a place and move 2 months later, the hell with the details. I'm not really doing that anymore....I think my risk-taking is getting a little more calculated or something. Damn Saturn. Damn age. LOLIP: Logged |

AGI think Capi has that duel side - the Saturn or Uranus to choose from. That side that wants to get up and dance on the table and that part of them that says it's not acceptable behaviour to do that. IP: Logged |

In Alameda, you won't be real close to BART. I think it's still a decent place, though. I used to hang out in Rockridge, especially when I was still in the Navy here. We noticed the neighborhood while taking a bus from Alameda to Berkeley. It looked like a cool place to hang out. I discovered the best pizza I've probably ever had there in Rockridge (Zachary's). Barney's is also a great little restaurant for a burger. The coffee shop I used to spend hours at each night has been converted into something else. I can't remember what. I made friends with a Scorpio barrista there through the fact that we were both fans of James, which is weird, because they've never been all that popular in America. IP: Logged |

I remember your solar return question. I read once, wherever you are exactly 6 months from your birthday is your 2nd half of your solar return. Does that make sense? Its a half a solar return..forget the exact term, if there is even a term for it.IP: Logged |

I certainly do, PA. I like to think it's because of my Gemini Rising, although Gemini energy can be quite shy as well. That partly explains why a person as artistic as myself is in a bank job rather than pursuing something less mainstream (which is what I should probably be doing).IP: Logged |

AG, are you talking about Barney's Beanery? I know they had the main one in LA, and I used to go all the time - that was an amazing place for burgers. What's close to BART that's a somewhat decent area, btw? Writesomething, I work online and kind of for myself, so that's one of the perks. Plus I'm starting my own website/business right now (which will take time probably to pick up steam). But I do plan to get a little part time job when I get out there, just so I won't spend so much time online. I need to break up the monotony of it, plus it's a bit healthier to be out of the house once in a while. I'll try and post my relocation chart. IP: Logged |

No, I don't think it has Beanery at the end, and it pretty much sticks to just burgers. All kinds of gourmet burgers. I think I got a blackened chicken burger there. http://www.yelp.com/biz/barneys-gourmet-hamburger-oakland Walnut Creek has a BART station, and it's an awesome community. It's relatively young and fashionable, and there's plenty of shopping and entertainment. My best friend and his wife live there. My area is more family suburban. We've got one BART station, and working on the second. I'll be moving near the new station in a month. Rockridge is nice. Ashby is another neighborhood with a BART. It seems cool. Berkeley's cool of course. Pleasant Hill is a decent place, and close to Walnut Creek. Concord is further out beyond Walnut Creek and Pleasant Hill. It's another family-oriented suburb. Not quite as nice as Pleasanton. IP: Logged |

Ah so it sounds like Walnut Creek has changed a bit? When I was living in SF back in '93, it was very suburban from what I remember, and didn't have so many places to go. A friend of mine lives in Emeryville with her partner, and has been there for as long as I can remember. She says it's changed, is more accessible now. She loves it. So, I'll have to include Walnut Creek as well as Pleasant Hill and Ashby - I was only looking at Rockridge and Berkeley and some parts of Oakland. Thanks for the tip...this broadens my options Writesomething....I remember my question on the SR chart. Yes, I was torn on which one to use. I think you'd seen Jupiter on the 2nd chart? IP: Logged |

Oh yes! Walnut Creek has probably changed immensely since you were here last. As long as I've lived here they've had the sort of outdoor mall, and by that I mean that it has mall-like stores, but they're not all sharing a roof. You walk outside between them. In the past five years this shopping area has grown a lot. In the rest of downtown there has long been a number of restaurants. Now there's some nightlife as well. There's a place called Liquid (I think). It was recently Betty's Rock Bar. It has events, and dancing, and bands. Unless it's closed down, there's at least one more dance place. All of this is just to say that it's pretty cool, and actually fairly cosmopolitan for not being a major city.IP: Logged |
