That is weird. We get calls all the time "I own such and such a domain name, would you want to advertise on it? We get such and such hits a day" I'm like, "um, no. We have our own site and advertising, thanks though". If your domain was doing that well, wouldn't I be coming to you, buddy? IP: Logged |

It's going to be a bit of a pain in the rear to move my domain. Not looking forward to it. I wish I could just de-register it.EDIT: Sweet! I just cancelled the auto-renew at least. IP: Logged |

I seem to have stumped my bank (credit union). Yesterday, I experimented with transferring money from my Checking account into my credit card account. The amount I transferred ($33) was in excess of the minimum payment ($24). What happened was that my balance did show that it went down by the amount I transferred, BUT the minimum payment due at the end of this month was still in effect. I emailed my bank to inquire whether another transfer (which will also occur well before the due date) will stop the minimum payment notice. I haven't heard back. Perhaps I found a glitch in their system or something.I experimented with paying this way, because I honestly don't know they work credit card payments, and I prefer paying online anyway. Save them the postage. IP: Logged |

Your reserved cleverness is always fun to read about. You seem rather Ravenclaw to me. I love that the HP houses are somewhat astrological. IP: Logged |

Thanks. I had to look that up to figure out what you were talking about. I got an email back from my bank at lunch. It said that they referred it to Card Services. When I've emailed in the past I've received a reply pretty quickly. They gave Card Services two days to respond. IP: Logged |

Geeks and nerds are in. All the males I seem to watch on tv are self-professed nerds: James Roday, Nathan Fillion, Zachary Levi, etc.IP: Logged |

Found some green tea supplements finally yesterday. It's green tea with Hoodia. I've never heard of Hoodia before. Turns out it's an appetite suppressor. Not sure I like that. Would prefer my appetite to be suppressed via eating well.IP: Logged |

Indeed! It's funny because I am not really a "meal" eater, I snack all day. L is the same way at 20 months old. I decided not to force her to sit down and eat a meal because I don't want her to associate a negative feeling with eating. Eating is for sustainability and energy, I think we put too much stock in it as a "ritual" in this country. I just let her tell me when she wants to eat, and we snack on yogurt, fruit or veggies, whole grain crackers, etc. She gets protien at "lunch" time and "dinner" time, but there is no need to be stuffing her with big meals I don't think. I like that philosophy. Yeah, a lot of people have been screwed up by the meal expectations. I, myself, do three meals a day usually, and since being on this diet my desire to snack has been mostly diminished because my meals are satisfying. On the occasion that my meal wasn't enough, though, I have pumpkin seeds at my desk to snack on. I forget what they're supposed to be high in nutrition-wise. Something good.IP: Logged |

I love eating really amazing food as well, don't get me wrong. I just treat myself when I can, and for the most part stick to the basics on a daily basis. I am too busy a person on weekends to adhere to an "eating schedule". Always something going on, places to go, people to visit. I keep a cooler bag and snackables/water/juice and just nibble. Weird maybe, to not be that fond of a table. LOL IP: Logged |

I think that's a cool way to be. You should always do your own thing.I want to re-organize my room. This morning I was imagining what would happen if I just got rid of everything. It would be kind of cool just to have an empty room with which to do whatever struck me at the moment. My practical side would probably prevent me from removing a computer station, and lord knows that either my sentimental side or my lack of practical salesmanship could prevent me from adequately losing my stuff in this way. I have two pieces of furniture I know I want to get rid of without a doubt, but I'm wondering how to market it, because my room's too cluttered to take flattering pictures of the pieces. I guess I'll have to find a way. IP: Logged |

Hmm the only thing I can think of is either uncluttering the room, which may take care of your itch to "cleanse" the space, or empy the pieces and put them outside and take pics. IP: Logged |

Yeah. I need to rent a U-Haul van or something sometime. That way I can get rid of loads of clothes I don't wear, and I can haul off some of my junk to either the dump or a consignment store (the clothes would go to a consignment place). I have a bad habit of cluttering my room.I've also thought of inventorying everything I own, and maybe taking pictures of everything. That way I'm intimately aware of just how much stuff I have, including all the stuff I don't need. IP: Logged |

That is so ridiculously something I would do. I am actually getting a disk from my Ins. company with a format for inventorying my household belongings and I am excited about it. LOLIP: Logged |

"What gets measured gets managed," as Tim Ferris likes to remind me in his books.I read an article about a couple that restricted themselves to 100 items, and spent most of their extra money not of stuff, but rather experiences. I admire that. IP: Logged |

Oh! Just got the email from my bank:Hello Michael, Thank you for your email. As long as you are meeting the minimum payment required the system should advance your due date to the next month. After reviewing your account I show your next due date is on 5/25/11 with the minimum amount of $24.00. Please be aware that if at anytime you exceed your credit limit you must also pay that amount in addition to your minimum payment, or the system will not advance your due date. Hmmm...I'll have to check my account now. EDIT: Yes, it has indeed advanced to next month. I should still pay it off now. Now I wonder if my "payment" makes it appear as if I didn't pay off the total amount this month, or if they make that determination on what would have been my due date. Hmmm... IP: Logged |

I wish I could be like that! I have quite the sentimental side and it has taken me YEARS to rid myself of some things. In my travels, I have taken lots of pictures (before the digital camera days) and collected various items that remind me of who what where, and although I have let a lot go, I still have those things I will never part with. I was just going through them a few nights ago. I moved from Oklahoma back to Maine very fast about 7 years ago, by plane, so I had to abandon my beautiful antique furniture and TONS of memorobilia etc. of my life to that point, including diaries and photos. I am very sad about that still, but I can't imagine if I still had all that ON TOP OF what I have now. Mabye that's something I should work on. It would be a good idea to spend money on taking Leyla places and doing things with her rather than "having" things for her.. IP: Logged |

Yeah, it is sad to lose some stuff. I don't have any of my yearbooks from school, and with a 20th reunion coming up in May, it would be nice.In a different article I read once that buying (spending money on) experiences makes us more happy than buying stuff. I know some stuff does make me happy, but experiences do as well. IP: Logged |

Yeah, I don't have any of mine either. I think a friend of mine has my senior yearbook, as I left it in the house we shared when I went to the UK for a year, and he moved out and took my stuff with him when he did, and I have yet to get it back. We still talk, we are just both gypsies that never get together LOL. IP: Logged |

I am an artistic person, so I like to have art around me. I have just purchased some paintings for L's room from a friend who has decided to make a go of it as a paid artist and am comissioning her to create some pieces for my living room. I think I am ONLY going to buy from local artisans from now on. Keep the money local, ya know? IP: Logged |
