He's good, but he's dating a Gemini from Canada who I don't think is quite right for him. My roommate and I joined Rob and his girlfriend on Saturday. We went into the city early. Our show was at 10:30 at night. We left at 2:00. I got to spend a lot of time with them, and I got to see how much Rob was spending on the day. I commented on it at dinner when the ladies had left the table, and he told me that he's come to expect that he's going to spend a lot of money whenever he goes out with her. That concerns me, because Rob is a pretty low maintenance person. I don't really see him with a high maintenance girlfriend for too long. As long as he's happy, though, I'll support him.

Strange, i had a the idea you saw Rob this weekend.
I don't quite see what you mean with spending money? Explain.

I mean that is was a pretty expensive day for him, and a good portion of that expense was buying stuff for her. Rob's a very fit, active guy. If the money were spent on doing things together (more than just eating) it wouldn't seem like he was being so used. Buying jewelry, eating, wine tasting...not really Rob's thing as far as I know Rob.

I don't know. The date was a pretty superficial way for me to observe. They may have more connection in more intimate quarters or something. I didn't really see a connection, though. She kind of dictated everything, and Rob went along and paid for everything. Didn't see any real affection between her and Rob. There was even a bit of tension a couple times.

Interesting.
A week ago I was on date with a cancer man.
He had eaten french cheese and wine the night before, i could smell that. Not very flattering. We went to an art fair, i got free tickets. Lucky for him, stupid me by not letting him pay. Well he payed for pizza, it was the least he could do. He's 47 years,i've never went on date before with someone who's 12 years older than me.

Sorry, Good night!

I think it's terrible that you could smell what he'd been up to. Ugh.

I see your concerns. That does sound fishy. I know a couple here (friends of my parents) and the woman is the dominant. Such a witch to be honest, and he just takes it. There is no love between them in the way you would want to see it between two people, and she treats him TERRIBLY. The reason he stays? "She's insane in bed". UCK.

Oh hell no. Sex is just sex. If they are connecting on a really deep level that their intimacy is really amazing, to me, there would have to be a level of respect that I don't see between them so that just sounds like BS to me.

Then again, I expect a lot from a really meaningful encounter if I'm going to go there again.. No randoms for this chick. hehe

Oh lol sorry. I'm saying I expect a lot from intimacy, as in, if I'm going to be intimate in the future, the relationship has to be on a pretty deep level.

I decided last night at the last minute that I wouldn't go to our company party. It was being held at a Chinese restaurant in Oakland.

This morning I learned that I made the right decision. My department said they went home starving except for the wine they drank. They thought the food, which consisted of no common Chinese dishes looked disgusting. For entertainment, there was a dragon dancer. That's it. Some company party.

So glad I didn't go.

Hello

I think sometimes we can judge someone a little too harshly....we judge them by our standards, not theirs.

I am the worlds worst at this - I am trying to be better, but it's exhausting, and I'm wondering whether it is worth it.

Twitter... that word makes me shake my head in puzzlement and amusement.

When I was in late elementary school, my Teacher told me to stop my nonsensical twittering and study. I stood and replied "Mam, I believe birds twitter and people titter". I was excused from class and my Mom had to visit the Teacher for my re entry to class.

Troublemaker

_____

My addiction to the show Dexter came to a screeching halt last night after learning that NetFlix only streams the first two seasons over the internet. Now I'll have to wait for DVDs of the remainder.

I just bought 4-Hour Body, and a pair of Skechers Shape-Up shoes from Amazon.com. I have an aversion to self-promotion, so I've been about ready to stop following Tim Ferris the author of 4-Hour Body, but I actually got intrigued by one of his tweets from a woman who'd tried his diet. I went to the linked article, and it was impressive. Then I looked up what I could about the "slow carb" diet, and it looks easy enough, especially as Mexican food easily fits into this diet. I'm getting the book and thinking about trying it. The shoes aren't really meant to fit with this. I've been after a pair of Shape-Ups for months, and I also need a new pair of black walking shoes.
