I became a Fitflop convert last year. I was resisting because I don't like to follow the crowd. On a recommendation I bought some for sight-seeing in Barcelona - we walked around for over 10 hours and my feet were in heaven and my legs not fatigued...I have 3 pairs now!

Same with my Ugg/Emu boots. I thought they were ugly, but bought a pair in the sales to wear in the snow. Now I have 2 pairs.

It must be my advancing age.....comfort wins hands down these days.

IT'S THE WEEKEND - YAY !!

I like your pair of shoes story.

Keep on walking that road Esk and I will follow!

Being practical is appreciated by me.

Sweet, Esk! That's cool. I haven't heard of FitFlops before.

Lunch time!

I've had that kind of irritation before, S17. Annoying...but at least you look smart today.

Welcome. Scorpios seem to like it here. We try to have fun. LL's been so boring lately with a lot of it's well established personalities having left the building. You're fun wherever you go, though.

I clicked on a link at Groupon's site the other day. It was something about if you wanted to write for them. When I was reading it, I thought you'd be perfect for the job. You're a good wordsmith.

Yes, this is the Scorpio check-in point!

It's a gorgeous day here - sunny, but between -1 and 1. I have packed a wee picnic, borrowed a dog and we are off for a walk on the beach.

Have a good day y'all!

Hey! Thank you AG, I will have to check out Groupon. I always 'start' a blog but never do anything with it. I am better at interactions than full-on essay type deals.
Thanks for the welcome
I'm a scorpio indeed!

I am actually quite boring. Super boring. Super-duper boring. Not really. I'm pretty fun.
I like fun.

Yes, I paint and write and sing and write songs and draw and do anything artsy, really. What do you do?

Oh- and I used to be pixelpixie ( I can almost say : obviously) But remixel I figured I'd mix it up.... you know what? I hate 'remixel' as a nickname. haha...It was great because peeps would call be pix or pixel or pixie, and now it's 'remixel' which is kind of weird haha.

Can you believe I have been on this site since 2003?
That's a little bit psycho to me.

Groupon's always had pro copywriters. They have a quirky, whimsical voice, and they're looking for people that can live up to it.

S17, Pix is on Facebook, too, if you're interested in seeing some of her stuff. I think she's got some of her artwork in her photos.

Pixel-Pixie,

What do you do?

Oh, wish i could sing. You could get together with AG and his music. i'll just listen to you.
I like to paint and cooking i also like sometimes. I also like fashion. I've followd a painting course. I've got a certificate from it. I am now
allowed to teach painting to little children and elderly people.

2003 that's along time for being here at LL.

Nice to meet you, we keep in touch. Saw your art on FB, it looks nice.

Pix!!

You will always be pix to me. I've been here since 2002, so that's even more crazy!!

Honestly, so many people have come and gone since I became part of LL, I can't keep up with all of them. I'm glad to have peeps on my fb friend list so I can still check in and see how they are doing.

Boring night for me, but actually quite nice. Just played with my little lady for HOURS and made a new game of laundry basket racing which she now LOVES, but does a number on my back. Man, I'm old. LOL

What will you need the car for? What are you looking to spend monthly? I wish I could get a Prius to be honest. I got to drive one when my car was being repaired after a tree branch went through my back windshield and i loved it! I can't get one in Maine though, winter and a Prius is just too illogical. The gas mileage is insane on that.

I am great! The next two weeks will be just eager anticipation and nerves until I get those keys!! Cannot wait to get in there and spread out again. Being in the cramped one bedroom at my mom's the past month has been tough. I will be buying my sofa/loveseat/chair too! So exciting!

How are you all?

Mmmm...more? Ok. Well, the back story is that two Septembers ago, shortly after my Sag went back home to Vermont, my Jeep died. It required a repair that was easily more than the car was worth, so I let it go. For the next year I wasn't real concerned about replacing it. I was anxious to see if I could adapt to living without it. I did. Wasn't unbearable.

However, it does get old, and now that everyone is thoroughly used to me persistently not having a car it's time to mix things up again.

I don't intend to have payments. (I enjoy my virtually debt free status) I agree, a Prius would be awesome. They're all over the place here. No, I'm going for a used car. Will preferably take my time making a good choice.

Initially, I had been going back and forth on whether to get a scooter or a car. A scooter would be very economical, and I could buy new. Vespas are so awesome. However, being as practical as I am, I'm going to opt for a car. For the sake of safety and weather, it's the better choice.

My plan is to buy the best resellable car I can find. In a year, I plan to resell it, and upgrade further with new money I've saved. The only considerations of mine that will be satisfied by this car will be that it's economical, that it preferably has four dours, and possibly that it's a color I like. It'll be along the lines of an Accord, a Corolla, or an Altima. No Subaru this time.

Subaru is my favorite. That's hopefully my next car. Four wheel drive is a must for me, and they are dang reliable.

I imagine that the resale on that coast is higher than here, as the wear and tear must be less. Salt, sand and snow and ice do take their toll on vehicles in the northeast.

I wish you luck! I know you will take your time and find just what is right for you!

Yeah, I was hoping to get a Subaru this time when I first started thinking about it. I can find them in my price range, but potential repairs would be more expensive than these cheap Japanese cars. I'm just going to try to keep things cheap for now. I'm trying to restore my faith in owning a car by not sinking too much money into one.

I've got a little "cheap"japanese car. And he's been very good to me, no prlobems so far.

Today i've bought two astro books and a cooking book. I simply couldn't deside wich of the two astro books to choose,
so i bought both. The salesman thought I was a libra and he was a leo.
