quick message: Hot damn Faith you are one sweet prettyyyy lady. Your hair looks so thick and soft. I still love your long hair haha. I reckon you rock short hair though.

Thank you for waiting for me <sniff>

Rie I'm glad that you could let it out. Congrats on that break through. I'll come back to add more to this post.

So happy you saw, I was itching to take them down! You're sweet with all the compliments, I'm average at best But my Leo ASC is roaring big thanks anyway.

I went to an Indian grocer yesterday and they had jackfruit! HUGE fruit! But they had it cut in sections and wrapped in plastic. I had no idea what condition the fruit was in: ripe, overripe, almost rotten? So I didn't take a chance.

LOL about taking a mudbath like a piglet.

*pauses to mourn the whole idea of bacon*

Piglets have this human baby vibe about them, the way you can cuddle them against your chest and feed them a bottle. I saw it done before in real life. It was like love at first sight and I've never been able to forget that. My daughter wants a teacup pig for a pet, and I hope she gets one when she's older, and I can visit it.

The weird vibes that you get...any of them psychic? Like, do you get impressions about people or a feeling that you will say something, then they do?

Freaky story your dad told...

My parents never told me ghost stories but one summer night my mom was on her metal bed looking out the open window to a storm brewing. She said that she saw a bolt of lightning coming at her, and she leaped off the bed just in time before it got fried.

Imagine watching that?

Oh and when my dad was dying he told me and my sister that sometimes he would travel down the hospital hallway, gliding along on the ceiling, looking down at all the action. My sister and I laughed before we realized he was completely serious. I wonder why most people have to be dying before they can leave their bodies.

Awww, he's precious!

He sits like that naturally? Yes, I can see the angelic vibe, too.

Very Pisces rising with those wide, dreamy eyes. Jupiter for his happy, satisfied vibe.
Argh, I feel happy already. Lovely, Faith.

Thanks for posting them!!! Gotta continue typing that email for you. I'm doing it in pieces.

Thank you!

His moon-Mars is conjunct your sun, maybe you sensed a little of that, too.

He actually has a super difficult chart...mutable/cardinal grand cross, mostly at critical degrees, over the angles. Plus the hot-head moon-Mars conjunction, square his Taurus sun. I'm glad he has all that Pisces energy to mellow out the tension, with 11H Neptune in Aquarius, chart ruler. He should turn out friendly enough.

Anyway, I owe you an email, too! Cancer sun is slowing me down, making me more introspective than usual...I know...believe it or not, my Gem Mars does have its limits!

With his Moon and Mars? Oh, I bet I felt that.

He does? But he looks like such a sweetheart, easy-going. He's got to be tough. Got that from his mother. Does he have Sun square Moon and Mars? Pff-- heavy energy there.
That Pisces influence is definitely showing.

Looking forward to it! Yeah, I've been tired mentally, too, but mostly from preparing for the move. I'm still writing an email to you and Doux in pieces. Ffff--

It's fine, I'll see it pop up in my inbox sometime.

Ah. You’re pretty, and from what I could see it seems that you don’t wear makeup? Natural beauty. I like the way you stand n hold your shoulders, very light n relaxed. And you have such svelte figure. Do you have lots of air in your chart, or mercurial energy? I remember that you have gem mars.

Haha yeah, the sugar content of that fruit is quite high and they do go bad quite quickly, especially in warm weather. But if the flesh looks decent, doesn’t ooze juice or smell funny then yeah it should be ok.
Jackfruit jam is delish <drool>

Speaking of bacon, I think it’s the pisces Neptune-chiron in the sky that affects me in such a weird way. I’m going through a phase of not wanting to eat meat. I haven’t eaten meat in 2 weeks.

Aw that’s so cute. Now that you’ve told me about how cute it is to cuddle n bottle feed piglets I don’t think I’d want to touch bacon again. Human go weak in the knees when they see cute little baby animals haha.

Oh the vibes....It’s hard to say, I don’t often get impressions about people. I often have weird feelings upon entering/visiting certain places. Like in my old workplace, some certain houses, apartments, cities... Often it’s a heavy, uneasy feeling.

When I was little, there was a time I attended my cousin’s wedding. When I saw her in her bridal costume, a little voice in my head said “It won’t last”. The “voice” didn’t feel like “mine”. Idk. They parted 1 year later in strange circumstances n the divorce caused heaps of drama and scandals. once dreamed of standing in the middle of a playground. Years later when I moved overseas, I attended a high school that had a playground just like that.

Wow that story your mom told.... Now that’s something spooky 0_0 Wow...

I’m sorry to hear about your father. Some patients told me similar things before they passed away. Probably when our physical body is dying, the links that tied our spirit to it are weakened and hence we can leave – that’s what I read in some random books. It used to make me wonder if people even “die”. Sounds as if people “live” on, just without the physical bodies.

Hehe I didn’t get to see the pics of your son. I was too late as always hahaha.

Wow mutable AND cardinal cross all in one chart, even over the angles.... Wooohoo great potentials. One of my two best friends has mutable T-square in her chart and she’s already a handful haha.

Rie, I cringed a little that you had to go through such emotionally demanding sessions. Love the way you described the picture, yes I do think it fits your attitude – keep reaching out, keep having faith that you’ll reach the apple. It helps to have fixed and cardinal in all of your big three

When I was happiest... Definitely that memory of my friends and me relaxing under the shade of the tree with yellow blooms. It was a very hot, sunny day. I loved the way the sun rays filtered through green leaves. We didn’t talk, just linked hands. It was a moment of stillness. I guess later I tried to find that feeling again, trying to find someone who could make me feel like that, or someone who could enjoy such a moment with me, without saying or doing anything.

Hi again!

Rie, I owe you email! I've gotten behind on everything...but I suppose you are so busy at school, you have enough on your plate already. Still I am going to heap more stuff on your plate when I get a chance!

I feel like the ringmaster of H & H because I'm talking on three threads at once, and this forum hasn't seen too much action otherwise. Kind of odd, isn't it? Anyway, whenever I reply on one thread, I feel like I need to reply on all three. Which is a little bit daunting. Cuz, now that Mercury is finally out of Gemini, I don't have *that* much to say! But oh well...

muddy, thanks so much for saying this:

quote:
I like the way you stand n hold your shoulders, very light n relaxed. And you have such svelte figure. Do you have lots of air in your chart, or mercurial energy? I remember that you have gem mars.

True, my posture is kind of...gentle. And my skeleton is "gentle" likewise...rather thin. My husband says that he can never find me in a crowd, and I'm so comforted by that. I just want to blend in...being slender helps, because there is less of me to see.

You're slender, too...and your posture was relaxed in the pictures I saw of you. Maybe this is common with Cap women.

I have a planet in each of the fire and air signs...so it makes a splash chart, and I just found out last week that astrotheme says...

quote:
Contrary to what one may believe, paradoxically enough, this pattern is one of the rarest.

It heralds a potential for varied centres of interest. The native can shift from one field to another with flexibility and relevance, with the capacity to land on his feet in any given situation. It is as if this pattern inferred a " Mercury dominant " effect since Mercury is well-known for being a real chameleon. When a natal chart is already marked by a Mercury dominant, this influence is even more strengthened. As we are broaching the dominant sign topic, it is obvious that Geminis must be mentioned since they are known for their natural capacity to hop from one subject to another, and to get interested in nearly everything.

So, along with an out-of-bounds Gem Mars, trine 3H Libra Pluto, and a domicile 6H Aqua Mercury, I am all-around Gemini-ish, cuz of my splash chart.

---

And a bunch of all-over-the-place comments now, showing my splash chart in action:

I will have to try jackfruit jam! Maybe they have it at the Indian store where they were selling the dubiously "fresh" jackfruit.

Jam is really underrated in America, I think. All this glorification of grape jelly, while the more exotic jams go unnoticed. I once bought gooseberry jam from IKEA...we have gooseberries at our country house...but I had to battle my fright at its mildly slimy green color, and finally lost the bottle, as the jar sat unopened for years, scaring me every time I opened the pantry. I just threw it out, never having tasted it.

Once upon a time I had real bakery toast with cream cheese and strawberry preserves...yummmmm. There was a good french bakery down the street from where I grew up, totally out of place in our area, but the baker supplied some of the best Philadelphia restaurants -and- little suburbanites like me. It was like the one "delicacy" of my upbringing.

How is your meat abstinence coming along? I wonder if that's part of the reason I've gone vegetarian again, too. More vivid sympathy for animal spirits.

Did I mention Chiron is conjunct my 18 Pisces moon? *Omits whining session* But really...one ouch after another.

I get that heavy feeling walking into some places, too...

Once I walked into a party and even though nobody said anything to me, and people were pleasant enough, something was off. I never thought "something is off here" but I just went home and cried, and knew it wasn't about me or anything in my life. Turns out two of my very good friends had a huge, bitter argument before I arrived at the party. I think I had just absorbed both of their vibes.

But I've never had a voice in my head. That's interesting, and amazing that you picked up on that when you were little.

'Closest I've come was when Neptune was transiting conjunct my Mercury (do you have that natally?) and I felt psychic sometimes and guessed random details about people correctly. The knowledge seemed to float in from outside of myself, voicelessly but intelligibly.

I'm jealous of your job...though it sounds stressful...still, what a valuable "reality check," to always be around people who have it rougher than you (probably), and can tell you about life when they are drifting in and out of it.

Hope this post finds both of you happy and enduring the Cap full moon season comfortably.

Haha I’m sure Rie is enjoying her new place and probably is preparing for her numerous exams.

Rofl you know we all love your mercurial power

Yeah, having thin skeleton structure is probably the reason why you look so “fluid”. I notice that with people who have strong mercury influence. They seem so very light. Like they’re walking on air. My s.o, despite being taller n heavier than I, has such light steps. As for me, almost everyone I know has commented at least once that I walk like an elephant.

Haha reading the part about what your husband said immediately made me think of Slender Faith – “here in a flash n gone without a trace”. Dang I spend too much time on Reddit No Sleep reading supernatural stories.

Thank you for saying that I look relaxed. I’m quite small, which makes me look kinda strange next to my parents. My dad is over 6 feet n quite well built. Mom is a bombshell standing at 5’8. I drew the short DNA straw and take after my grandmother hahaha.

I have been fascinated with your chart ever since I saw it. It is way too cool. I have a bunch of planets in one sign. Meh I’m bored with it. Maybe we should totally trade charts haha.

Reading that description of splash chart I’d imagine that you have a very busy mind. Often it shows in appearance. Idk but I don’t notice that from your pics. No “skittish”, high strung feel. Just very “calm”. My best guess is that until now you already have a good understanding n control over it.

LOLOL oh I see, it shows through your communication style. Just kidding. But I love all over the place comments.

haha I imagine you looking at the pieces of jackfruit with a suspicious eye.

Oh... exotic jams. The best that I’ve ever tasted is Rose jam. It is heaven in a jar, literally. If I had to, I’d be willing to give up every other taste in the world for it. I’ve tried the cooked version and the “cold” preserve (gulkand – I got it at Indian-Middle Eastern grocery stores). I love the cold preserve more so I had to look for a recipe.
http://www.mycreativeflavors.com/2011/07/gulkand-speciality-rose-petal-preserve.html

Not eating that gooseberry jam was a good decision, I think. I cringed slightly as I imagined “slimy green” goo. Hmm such a suspicious color haha I bet it wouldn’t have tasted good.

Toast n cream cheese. I have never really heard of it until I worked in the children ward and saw it on the menu. It’s now a favourite

When I was little the one thing I loved the best was this. It’s made from steamed sticky rice mixed with the flesh of this curious looking fruit (Momordica cochinchinensis - wth lol).

Meat abstinence.... It is still going on. My s.o used to express amazement (and probably slight disgust) at the way I tore at meat. Feral, he said lol.

But yeah, now thinking of eating meat makes me cringe slightly. Weird. Damn Chiron transit.

Yeah, picking up vibes is sometimes a liability. Especially anger. Eekkk. Sometimes it rolls off of people like a building storm and they still smile/play the part.

That’s way cool that you can guess random details about people. I think you are psychic.

Fun note: I love the way you described it – “seemed to float in from outside of myself”. I’d probably use similar words to describe how I pick up vibes n such.

Neptune is too far from my mercury so they don’t make an aspect.

Yes I agree, it is a very valuable reality check. People have all kind of crappy things happened to them, and in many cases, those things have lasting effects. So far I have been amazed and humbled again and again by their sheer will to live and to live well.

I didn’t choose that path because I particularly loved it, so I didn’t research or bother to look into it. Pretty much I walked right in without any mental preparation and little preconception. Around that time I pretty much thought of sufferings as a normal occurrence in life, no need to fuss. But the reality hit me with all the force of a friggin freight train. Seeing people having to go through all of that, having to jump through hoops n getting caught in the system...etc... stirred up all kind of emotions. I was pretty frustrated that I couldn’t do more. It became a bit of an obsession, like I once talked to you about how when I was little, I used to feel guilty that I had enough to eat and others didn’t. That feeling had slept for a long time, and it woke up once again. It haunted me n made me felt like I shouldn’t truly enjoying my life when there were so many others who couldn’t. It was way too candid.

I really struggled for a while. Eventually I think that yeah maybe I can’t do much, but every little effort counts. So yeah, those things I saw will stay with me as “reminders”, they make me “aware” rather than suck the joy from my life. I guess I did learn a lesson there.

Thank you Faith. Hope you and your family are well. Rie, I hope you are well too. Take care

Oh God, so many new posts and still got to catch up! But thanks, I love seeing this thread alive and just read you two ladies talking about all of these things.

Happy this thread is still alive and kicking! And we made it far past its 1-year-anniversary. All in true Saturn style

And haha, no, I finished my exams a month ago and passed. Holidays now until late September (yes, I got a massively long one).

But yes, trying to get used to a whole new life style living alone but with so many people in the building. I've become a lot more social, but, after what I've learnt over the year, I try hard to also take my time alone in a quiet room just to let all the nerves and feelings settle down. But as I've already said - and apologized - in the Jupiter in Leo thread, my social life has become more active than ever. I still can barely believe it!

Hope you ladies are still doing okay. Please don't feel like you have to hold back on writing or anything. I'm glad to hear from you both and see you pop back in.

Love you girls!!!

Hi again ladies!

Rie, are you ok? Where's my email?

muddy, I can't get that picture of the sticky rice dish out of my head! It's so exactly like my ideal...what I want to get back to living off of, when I'm not eating raw. Just old-fashioned, tasty dishes, based on grains. And eating foreign cuisine of course gets me more in touch with a sense of ancient history and the earth than, say, the American speciality of frozen pizza. But that's so important to me, to feel a link to history...

It's been Indian food month at my house, and currently I'm in process making Chura Matar...I think it's a breakfast food, served by street vendors in India. The author of my cookbook recommends serving it with a pot of fresh coffee...so I've been doing this every Sunday, and then whenever I feel like it...kinda like knitting or quilting (or doing chain mail, I'd imagine), I just get a craving to move a certain way...like stationing myself by my spice drawer measuring out all the spices, then grating the ginger, dicing the peppers really small. Blending the tomatoes. Weaving my way around the kitchen. This recipe actually involves so many prep techniques and weird ingredients...it's very splash chart

And the finished product looks like...

I don't usually have a busy mind, no, maybe that's why I look calm. Saturn opposes Mercury, and my thinking can be slow mo for long stretches of time. Only occasionally do I get caught up in a massive brainstorm AND have the time and privacy to put it all on paper or record it on a computer. Then it's like I see no limit to how far I can travel with that train of thought. I think the word for this is "flow."

Let's definitely trade charts or pass them around with Rie, so we can take turns, each being a Leo for a while, a Cap sun complete with matching stellium, and singleton Cap sun with splash chart. Let's do that.

One thing I ****need**** right now is to travel, so I will be happy to come to your respective countries and do the chart swap there. My apologies in advance if people start looking at you funny once you get my chart...and good luck concealing all the eccentricity it stirs up.

One problem I struggle with is conveying my enthusiasm. I can feel ecstatic about small things, out of proportion to what's expected, and social norms. Like that picture of the rice dish, if you were here, you'd notice my volume actually going way up, and I'd start bopping around a bit, showing how much I love it. But I can't put it through on text so well. I mean, I say the same things over and over which bores even me. "Ohhh I LOVE THAT!!!" gets old.

That's my ASC trine Sag Venus-Neptune and Aries Jupiter.

It's also hard when something touches me more profoundly...with an 8H moon, I can go all quiet at that point. It's almost like a platonic variation on the song How Can I Tell You by Cat Stevens. Or even if I'm trying to "tell" a painting that I love it...I have no words for that. So I kinda internally pass the ball over to my ASC and it comes out like enthusiasm...even though that's not exactly it. The vibes are different, like you can express intense appreciation with loud horns, disco balls, and confetti or with a bouquet or white roses. And I'm just aware that I'm communicating inaccurately but don't know quite how to fix it.

Anyway...good luck with all that, too, once you get to live my chart and see what it's like. heheheh

For my part, I look forward to walking like an elephant. And being an effective worker for once, and being able to speak in more than one language...and speak well. Aries moon also sounds fun. Then, when I get Rie's chart, I can take that moon-Mercury for a test drive...glory!!!! And again, be bilingual. Can't wait.

You mentioned my being psychic and I had this whole post constructed in my head, but no time to record it, and now it's gone. The basic architecture of it was, I think we all pick up on things psychically but don't recognize them for what they are. And it's like, some connections with other people bring out the psychic in you...maybe you have telepathy with a person...and maybe that carries over in other areas and relationships. Like, sharpening the mind.

Other catalysts for me are more mundane, like transits and diet. But I think everyone has that latent ability or some experiences with it. Maybe we block some signals because they are too difficult to deal with socially or even think about. I think America has a rather dull psychic atmosphere...people I meet from other countries are struck by how this country, and even the English language, lack "heart." And that's where a lot of mental intermingling happens.

Are you eating meat yet? I've surprised myself by eating a bit here and there.

I love what you wrote about being a nurse and how it makes you more aware. I need that in my life so, yeah...travel and empathy, simple pleasures like rice dishes, plus awareness...happiness isn't too hard to come by (?) at least...the teachers I listen to most say that. Jupiter Aries...that's my home base.

Gotta finish cooking and taking care of everything here...my family is going a little bonkers as I indulge in computer time...

See you both later!

Forgot to thank you for introducing me to rose preserves. GOTTA try that! I love rose tea...and floral accents in food, like lavender in chocolate. So this is right up my alley, I just didn't know it existed before.

I know what you mean about the sticky rice dish. It gives a very “earthy” feel. Makes me think of a simpler time, a simpler lifestyle. I’ve never experienced that lifestyle, I only read about it in books n whatnot.

Good point about feeling linked to history, it is something very important to Saturn influence people, no? I guess that’s where the “lacking” feel comes from. I have yet to feel “connected” to my mother land. Now that I think about it, the decision to move back is indeed a good one.

I love the photo of that dish. Your family is lucky, I bet you’re a great cook coz it seems that you have both the interest and the patience for cooking. Hah, another reason why I want your splash chart, I get frustrated pretty quickly with recipes that involve long lists of ingredients n prep steps. In true earth/fire style, I often go for the simple ones.

side note: haha we put a lot of stuff in sticky rice. Durian, jackfruit, coconut..etc... That specific orange-red fruit tastes quite bad on its own, so yeah waste not want not lol it's quite amazing that such a fruit would suddenly taste good when combined with sticky rice and coconut milk.

Seriously I’d love to exchange chart if that were possible. Thank god for progressions and transits, otherwise I’d be bored to death with just one chart. I’m ok with mine, but yeah I often wish I could “try out” other placements and aspects to see what they feel like.

Your sag venus would love to experience other cultures and analyse the differences. Actually I can imagine you jumping up and down with excitement, eyes shining. Very different from your calm image. Hmm fire trine eh? How lucky. My sag merc is too far from the moon-jupiter trine to make a grand trine. Funny thing is that my s.o’s sag Uranus completes the grand trine. I guess that’s one of the reasons why I feel that the relationship dynamic is exciting, despite the fact that he lacks fire in his chart.

Oh yes, you have an 8th house moon. My s.o and my cousin do, and they have mentioned s.t similar about there wasn’t enough words to describe how deep his feelings were.
Hmm I personally would love to experience what an 8th house moon feels like. It would be very different from my 3rd house moon haha. Confetti, that’s something my aries moon loves. And bonfires, and yes to disco balls and loud horns lol.

I’m still on a no-meat diet -__- Idk. Seems like it will go on for longer than I thought.

I don’t know enough about the English language to comment, but one of the things that have always made it difficult for me in translation and interpretation is the “lack” of equivalent words. For example, in my language there are quite a few words for different “kinds” of love that are often “lost” in translation.

Speaking of dull psychic atmosphere, the same thing sorta happened to my country after the war. Anything that is not practical is discouraged and in certain cases, ruled out as superstitious and/or illegal. So yeah it’s getting there. I remember reading, fantasizing and admiring a mental picture of the light and airy old world, where certain frivolous things were considered spices of life.

It’s true what you said, happiness isn’t hard to come by. At least that’s what I think at this point in life. I think that if I don’t “need” too much from life, it’ll be easier to feel content. The things I learnt just confirm that I shouldn't feel down for too long, coz yeah I’m still in the luckier group of people.

Speaking of chocolate. Spiced dark chocolate is great. I don’t quite like chocolate but I’d make an exception for it. The other day, I had hot chocolate spiced with cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg and a bit of chilli. It was great.

Haha I love chaotic family time.

LOL...is it my Italian heritage that gives me an advantage here? I felt like I could understand a lot of that. So cute!

I just mentioned this song to T on the Married at First Sight thread and right now I'm just soaking in it like it's some giant bubble bath...

(The lyrics put that image in my head, btw..."My head's under water...")

More later...

^ You're Italian, Faith? Cool! I have some distant roots here, too. But I don't know by far enough to understand any lyrics.

But what I really wanted to say: Well, of course that I've missed you guys while I was so busy and on holiday.

Also... a week ago, I bought these cards which are called "Astrological insight cards". They're like Tarot, but instead the author uses the planets and elements with a message that fits with the planet-element combo on the card. I wanted it as quick advice at first, or to get even more of an understanding of the elements in astro, but I've gotten hooked on readings! Done some for two of my roommates as well and it fit. One of them (the guy I told you about in an email, Faith) got scared the cr*p out of him of how accurate it was.

So I did one for myself, combining two readings I do a lot in one. And wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Just... how is this even possible??? I'm still in shock!

So much that I'd love to do one for you guys if you'd like! I think it could still work online? Like ask me a question and I'll try to pick some cards for you.

The question I used for myself was: "What do I need to get into a new relationship, and what can I expect?"
I use these card questions:

1. What is this about (what is the problem)?
2. How do I feel about myself right now?
3. What do I want the most at the moment?
4. What do I need the most at the moment?
5. What am I afraid of?
6. What is holding me back (blockage)?
7. What is my strength (what do I have going for me)?
8. What should I learn from this?
9. What can I expect (outcome)?

And I got these cards. I bolded what like screamed at me so obvious.

1. Jupiter in fire - Go for it! [My interpretation: Dare to make the first move.]
2. Moon in water - Live through your emotions.
3. Pluto in air - Strive for equality.
4. Sun in earth - Make sure to have peace and stability.
5. Venus in air - Get in touch.
6. Venus in fire - Love is the answer.
7. Mercury in water - Silence is golden. [My interpretation: Knowing when not to say something/keep things quiet.]
8. Neptune in water - Discover your psychic abilities. [Follow your intuition?]
9. Uranus in fire - Dare to be you.

This, all of this just works so well! Inspired yet?

Don't want to put this up for Personal Readings instead, what if I get more than I can handle? Starting here first. Bella or Doux, if you read this, feel free to ask me for a reading, too.

Jumping into the thread, if thats okay!

Faith you are Italian too!?!?! I'm half-Italian. Family gatherings are never boring to say the least. Especially when the wine starts flowing,

Rie (can I call you that? figured I would act my Cap ASC and and ask), how long have you been doing these readings? I've never heard of it but it sounds really cool.

I would totally like one! Do I need to ask a 'yes or no' question or can it be more open ended?

Actually, scratch the above. I was thinking about pulling tarot cards for future relationship/what to expect advice. I will be lazy and ask the same question you did (its early, I'm in airport).

j/k about the tears, but I'm *dying* to travel. Are you on vacation?

Yes I am half Italian, half Irish. Classic hybridization of Roman Catholics in America. What's your other half?

Rie,

I love your cards!!! That was a great reading, too. Thanks very much for the offer...I'll think of a question and post it later.

LOL, I forgot the 'at.' Thats how tired I was this morning!

Girl, I came home to boringness, trust me, you aren't missing a dang thing. I'm sort of on 'vacation.' but really I can never escape my work.

Yes I am half Italian, half Irish. Classic hybridization of Roman Catholics in America. What's your other half?

Whoa, what kind of sorcery! I'm 40% Irish and 10% German. So don't **** me off, that 10% German side tends to come out.

Because of my heritage, I came up with a very respectable life motto:

I come from a proud lineage of Italian, Irish, and German ancestors, meaning that I have potential to achieve great things in life.....or become an...alcoholic.

Wait, what happens next??

See...my whole maternal/Italian family either died out or we lost contact with them by the time I was 14. All that remains to suggest that we are Italian...besides memories of eating some sublime ethnic Italian food growing up, and dealing with my hot-tempered mother...is the fact that my siblings and I can get really loud and boisterous at parties. We lack volume control. Actually, I usually just step out of the way because two of my brothers always "steal the show"...they are so frickin crazy and hilarious, all you can do is try to keep breathing while you're laughing.

Damn I miss them. Hardly ever see them.

Sometimes when own my temper flares, I'm convinced it's just my Italian heritage. Easier to blame the ole DNA than take full responsibility.

K, Rie, my question is:

What do I need to do to break out of this rut that I am in?

Hey both!!

Yes, Bella, please do join in. It's fun This could basically be called 'Cap Hangout' at this point.
Rie is fine! Pretty much how everyone online calls me. Hey, if it's easier to pronounce for you Americans. ^^

Were you on holiday?

I take it you both want the longer reading? A shorter one's fine, too. Yeah, these cards are so cool. I love working with them, they really suit me. Haven't done this for long, though I've been into tarot for the past half a year or so. These are so straightforward and yet plenty of room to interpret for yourself. With one or two key meanings on the card, it's easier to memorize the meanings.

I'll start on the reading soon.

Hope you aren't too big a fan of the liquor! Coffee is a much safer option.
This totally needed to be quoted again.

As for me, I'm all Dutch but I do have some Italian roots. That's got to be the reason everyone always assumes I'm a foreigner at first. Italian, Spanish, even Moroccan, I get it a lot and people are often surprised I was born in the Netherlands. I was sooo dark at birth, my hair and eyes were completely black.

Faith, your family sounds so fiery! Your brothers especially. They do remind me of the typical Italian temperament. Mmmm, Italian food is the best. I just love their seasoning, basics, how healthy it is without losing flavour, it's just amazing.

DNA is the thing, right??
