Buon Giorno Rie!

If muddy has some Italian in her, too, we can nickname this thread Little Italy.

Please do whichever type of card reading is most convenient for you. I'm so fascinated by them I wondered how I could just rip off the idea and try to make my own, using some cardstock and imagination. Then, of course, hide them somewhere so no one in my family could find them.

Then, of course, worry that I'll die in a car accident someday and my family will excavate my closet and marvel at all the wacky books and divination tools I'm hiding in there. "Wow, who knew Mom was such a closeted weirdo??"

Really I'm still living in the closet.

Faith I love the song you posted, my s.o does too. He thinks the line “My head’s under water but I’m breathing fine” describes how he feels about having his 12th house filled up by my cluster.

Nah I don’t have Italian heritage. Somewhere in the family line there can be a smidgen of French.

Rie I hope you’re enjoying your holiday. Reading tarot cards sounds great. A very curious deck of cards. Intriguing. For sure I’d love to have a reading. Probably a general one please, coz at the moment I can’t think of any specific thing I want to know.

I’ve been in a pensive mood. Recently a family friend passed away in a freaky accident. I was shocked at first, and then it made me think a lot. He subscribed to the belief that our lives and everything we have are just temporary. A death always leaves others with thoughts of what-could-have-been. But knowing that he saw things that way, calms my mind.

One random thing that I’ve wanted to tell you and Faith ever since Faith posted her pics and I saw her luxurious hair is that you two may want to try using wooden combs (if you haven’t already). In comparison to my plastic combs, they really reduce static n fly-a-way.

Take care n have fun.

They look like this, never mind it being in Dutch. Just so the whole thing is less mysterious.

I'll work on all three of your readings. Muddy, I'll just ask how you're generally doing maybe? Really sorry about your friend. True, lives are passing, but still, I totally understand being shocked right now. *hug*

Wooden combs? Never heard of that before, I should try. Static hair, grr, that sucks. How else do you get it back in shape, aside from the plastic ones? Learned something new today! Different materials for different hair types.

Ahhh, too bad. It'd been fun to have us all have Italian roots. French is cool, too. The language just sounds so pretty. <3

Googled some pictures of the cards for you all, by the way.

First one on the top left says "Jupiter in Water - Help someone else"
Top right: Jupiter in earth - Enjoy all the abundance
Bottom left: - Take the time to process your emotions
Bottom second from the left: Jupiter in Fire - Go for it!
Bottom second from the right: Moon in air - get things off your chest/vent what's on your mind
Bottom right: Sun in water - Be kind to yourself

Hello, ladies. Not finished with the readings yet (I'll start on yours, Muddy, I'll just ask how your life's going at the moment for a question. General enough?). But here's the cards I got for Bella and Faith. Maybe you already get a hunch just by the descriptions.

4. What do I need the most at the moment?
Neptune in air - Forgive.

5. What am I afraid of?
Uranus in fire - Dare to be you.

6. What is holding me back?
Saturn in air - Invest in your relationships./I]

7. What is my strength/What do I have going for me?
[I]Venus in fire - Love is the answer.

8. What should I learn from this?
Sun in earth - Make sure to have some peace and stability.

9. What can I expect? (Outcome)
Jupiter in water - Help someone else.

*edited zany commentary on my card reading after Rie saw it. If anyone didn't see it, you didn't miss anything ~ just didn't want it as part of the permanent LL archive.

--

Also, wanted to ask Rie and muddy to check out my "Wounded Healer" thread in Sweet Peas? Just so you know my basic state of affairs right now...it's something I might mention in passing here, but that's the whole background issue.

More later

Sure, checked it out. Don't want to post on SP, though and only read your post.

You can talk okay?

So sorry. That's just horrible and I totally understand you wanting to look out for her every moment you can.

... You think so? It's totally normal to be worried reading all of that! You know, I get not wanting to make the same mistake. But if you need to know, just ask her if she'd like the advice. She'll have the space to say yes or no to it.

Thanks for telling us. It's good you opened up here and yes, it says so much about your state at the moment. You're going through a really rough time and that sucks either way.

Big *hug* to you.

Thank you thank you

Using red hearts cuz the blue ones show oxygen deficiency.

Just wanted you and muddy to know about that, so if I seem super emo, that's probably part of it. (Oh and singleton suns supposedly act like their opposite sign, so that's me being like a Cancer. Frankly I think it would be fun to be a Cancer, they really don't seem too worried about wearing their hearts on their sleeves.)

Talk to you later

Faith, I’ve just read the wounded healer thread and right now lots of thoughts are bouncing around in my mind. Heavy traffic.

I’m worrying about you. Idk if this is too intrusive, but yeah I think you definitely should consult a doctor to assess your symptoms.

I also think that your connection with her is having effects. Are those transits affecting your pisces moon? Hmm..

The connection between two (or more) people is a powerful thing.

I definitely understand the urge to fight (or to advise others to fight).

Some years ago, when a loved one told me that he accepted his fate, I was torn between many conflicting thoughts. At times I thought I was being disruptive and that I should be happy that he accepted it with grace. At times I questioned my motives.

I’m sorry that you and your friend are going through this. Lots of well wishes to you both.

I appreciate that you let us know about your situation. And I hope to hear your updates. You're a strong and caring person. Hugs.

Rie actually I think being in Dutch makes the whole thing more mysterious, at least to me Thank you for the pic, those are pretty and look quite well-made.

Yes please, stuff about how I’m doing atm would be great.

Yeah I’m sorry too. I react strongly to death, illness, hunger or any kind of physical sufferings.

Before moving aboard I used to boil dried honey locust pods with water and wash my hair with the decoction. Followed with a rinse of grapefruit peel water.

Here's a picture of the honey locust pods.

Now I mostly use water or diluted apple cider vinegar to wash my hair, and a bit of coconut oil to keep it soft. Sometimes I use henna for some red hints.

Haha sorry I got carried away with the hair care routine. You have thick lovely hair too from what I’ve seen. Does your hair tend to “puff” up whenever the moisture content of the air is high? Especially when it rains?

So cute!!Haha, yeah, they are little furballs. You can't see where one of them ends and the other begins. But just so, so cute!

Whose are they? Would be so cool if you could take care of them for a while, if the Plutocat won't mind.

Lovely pic. If you have any, please do share some stuff from your new home!!

:huuug* Miss you all!

Want to continue with your readings so badly, just need to find a nice, peaceful moment.

Hello girls!

Rie, how is your grandmother? Happy birthday to her, even if these are very difficult circumstances...I hope her birthday brings her some extra love, optimism, gifts.

Fiiiinally catching up with you, muddy! Sorry to take so long....honest truth is that sometimes the more I want to think about a topic, the longer I may take with it.

But first, did I miss something? Have you already moved??? If so, how is it going?

Those kittens are so gorgeous!!!! And I love that you take care of your hair so well. I'm going to check out wooden combs next time I go to Whole Foods, pretty sure I saw them there. But mainly I just brush my hair. Maybe I ought to change that and it'll give me less frizz and split ends. But I seriously don't know...I'm not focused on my hair too much. I just use a shampoo-conditioner combo that makes it shiny and smell good, and consider my work mostly done.

Right, that's exactly what I was trying to put across, too.

I see what you mean, a new opportunity to discover more about your roots...might literally be good for your root chakra. I know that last time I was back near my home town, with my brothers that I hardly ever see, it was...kinda heartbreaking, to only have that for one night, knowing it would be years until it happened again...or maybe it'll never happen again. But for once I actually felt a strange, old sensation of, "Oh wow. I actually belong somewhere!" and realized how much I've been missing that.

Hah, another reason why I want your splash chart, I get frustrated pretty quickly with recipes that involve long lists of ingredients n prep steps. In true earth/fire style, I often go for the simple ones.

Simple can be scrumptious, and your garnishes are world class! Actually, I feel like my food style is like...cubist. My staple meals involve a lot of cubed vegetables. LOL I love it, it's like creating my own little Legos. Then I love stirring all the differently-colored cubes together in a colorful bowl. And if I'm making an Indian dish, again, it's color entrancement...watching the turmeric and cayenne seep into the oil and yogurt as the peas dim and the rice starts caramelizing...yeah. Not sure if that's splash chart or driven by my hypersensitivity to color.

I get seriously envious of some aspects. And I'm not the type to get jealous about anything. But I am JEALOUS of people with positive Mars-Saturn (I have the semisquare...sucks.) And a stellium sounds so "together" and like, you know who you are and what you want. Some of the grand trines, like moon-Mercury-Saturn would be so much fun to play with!

At least we have Venus conjunct Neptune. *patting you on the back*

At least we have that.

Can't picture your chart well enough here. Is your Jupiter sign LEO and I forgot? Yes...probably is...because I know that Jupiter sorta follows the Chinese Signs, and my daughter is also a Horse with Jupiter in Leo. I'll be darned! You don't seem very Jupiter Leo to me. They are usually more showy and interested in show biz...I thought. Well, how do you experience it?

And I love that your hubby's uranus makes that a grand trine and keeps things exciting. <3

My hubby's sun-Uranus forms a grand trine with my Venus and BML, I think we've gotten a lot of good times and mileage out of that.

I'm glad I'm not the only one saying that, because on the surface it might come across like I'm just boasting about how deep I am, which would be shallow, and make me look like a liar then. But astrology backs me up, and I'm so grateful to have a way to make this more of an objective "fact"....like this reading:

quote:
Extremely sensitive to the unspoken communication, these people experience other people on a feeling level. They assess people quickly and accurately with their feelings, and these feelings cannot be translated into words. This is an emotional weight carried around by the eighth-house moon because it is felt and not expressed. It becomes burdensome. Peace is found when they let go of these feelings and they let go of their expectations in relationships.

I was so happy that someone understood.

Is his reading accurate for you?

I would love to trade (!!!) but feel bad for saddling you with this. I felt it all more keenly yesterday when the moon was transiting my 8H, conjunct my moon. I think the transiting moon just turns up the volume on my own moon, so I can "hear" myself better, and honestly it's a...very strange energy.

Rie your grandmother’s not well ? I’m sorry. How have you been? I hope that you're doing ok. Hope that your grandmother is doing better too.

Happy Birthday Rie.

Let's hope that leo jupiter will make it better. Seems like we all find ourselves in tough situations.

Faith I haven’t moved yet. There are some complications with my s.o’s citizenship status so we had to reschedule our flights. We’ve been a bit busy sorting things out.

I’ll definitely share pics once we get there hehe.

Yeah those kittens are sweet. We will probably foster strays/unwanted furballs for adoption. I like the idea. Better than leaving them on the streets.

Faith I love that you spend minimal effort on your hair yet they look so thick and healthy. Less is definitely more here.

Yes I agree, that’s what we’re hoping for too. Getting in touch with my roots might actually put my 4th house mars to rest. And we were told that it’d help with fertility. So yeah... a lot to look forward to.
I can relate to that “sensation”. I feel similarly about family and friends. Like “Wow I didn’t know I miss you that much”.

I love how you describe your cooking process. Cooking is like painting with ingredients. I definitely share your love for colours.

I see the beauty of black/white/grey colour scheme – seems that it’s very popular.
Nearly all of the people I know use that combination for their homes. Idk I’s like a colourful house. Splashes of bright streaks. Wall murals...etc...

I’d love to know how you get your children to eat vegetables. When I was little I hated veggies. Most of children I know hate veggies. I dread the day when I have to try to feed my children veggies.

Oh the red fruit used in that rice dish is the Momordica cochinchinensi. Durian and jackfruit taste amazing on their own. People also make durian sticky rice and jackfruit sticky rice, both are good. Sticky rice goes with everything.

I have 4th mars – 1st house saturn trine. I guess the way it plays out is that the bulk of my Saturn energy is directed towards building my “home” - very serious and enduring. In other areas of life I’m pretty slack.

Idk, having a stellium makes me feel kinda stagnant. And I think I’m less emotionally complex than many others. I want a fire mars or an air mars. It’d compliment my moon well. I always feel a need to be always on-the-go, but my lazy mars and overabundance of earth hold me back sometimes.

Hah we do have venus-neptune. Yours is in sag, right? Mine is in Capricorn, overall it still makes me idealistic, but less philosophical.

I love your metaphors, they are very creative. It shows a colourful, interesting minds. I always feel that I can understand things better when they’re explained/described with metaphors.

My Jupiter is indeed in Leo – 7th house. I’m not interested in showbiz, but I do have a special love for things/people that are flamboyant, loud and bright. I prefer the “Look at what I have/Look at what I can do” kind over the “Look at what I have that you don’t/Look at what I can do better than you”. The first kind is just fun, the second is pretentious.

I’m quite lucky. With Saturn, NN and saturn square my MC, Neptune quincunx MC, career is a bit of a cloudy, rocky road, but I’ve always earned a little more than I need. My generosity seldom goes unnoticed. With Saturn, Jupiter, Pluto and mars in angular house, the line “what goes around comes back around” is pretty much my life theme.

-

8th house pisces moon screams emotional complexities and depth. Do you keep a lot of thoughts just to yourself?

Some parts of the 8th house moon descriptions fit the 8th house-mooners I know. Because they “get” other people and are aware of others’ delicate feelings, they feel like they have to tiptoe as not to hurt others. Especially with loved ones.... My cousin and my s.o are kinda like that, well, “were” like that. They feel comfortable with me because to me, a bit of hurt never kills nobody.

I find this part to be especially true:

quote:
This position also inclines a person to communicate their feelings and lends an ability to explain their feelings clearly

Yeah. Even with those squares to the moon, the 3rd house still makes my moon happy. I read somewhere that the 3rd house is the moon’s House of Joy.

With your 8th house moon, do you need a lot of time to “feel” and think about your feelings, turning them into words..etc.. before communicating ? I “feel” and “communicate” spontaneously. Like whatever I feel comes out of my mouth.

Ah meat.... +___+ I still don’t feel like eating it, but yes you’re right about vitamin B12. I still eat dairy foods. Can’t let go of eggs and cheese. Especially cheese!!!!

Can I ask how do you feel when you started to eat meat again? Does meat taste weird?

The whole no-meat thing started with looking into the controversial issue of dog and cat meat consumption. The idea of eating the flesh of an animal suddenly seemed quite weird. Before I know, science would probably prove that plants are sentient beings. I’d have to live on dew and juice of the universe, like an orchid.

That video sounds really interesting, please do post the link once you remember it. Seriously if I could I’d want to be fluent in every single language.

Heh no... My country is transforming. But rules and political restrictions retard its growth. So I hope it won’t turn out crooked.

Love that quote. At this stage in my life I think that’s the way to go. It has been working out well for me.

Hey ladies

This is embarrassing. Still haven't finished on the readings. I just did Muddy's today - got help from my roommate who's really good with tarot, so some credit goes to her - =and still want to elaborate on Faith & Bella's.

And just get back into our threads of course!

So, just saying I'm still here and I will get back to you all. Just don't know when with my hectic life and periods of having to relax a whole day.

Hugs

And finally ready to elaborate on your reading. Just talking things out aloud right now...

1. At the time I did the reading for you, and maybe still, you may have been going through a situation where you wanted to call the shots, though this wasn't possible for 100%. As I drew an earth sign for you, I get the feeling it's about a health thing, your body or finances. Have you been very preoccupied with either of those lately?

The booklet roughly talks about being too involved into a problem, and asks you to take a step back if possible. Being too far in to see the pic picture. Control has to do with fear, and I'm thinking a fear of losing whatever you're trying to hold onto. But some more distance can give everyone some room to breathe, to come to you and let things come out naturally. It advices you to try not to worry too much, and have faith in your ability to keep things from falling apart even when you're away. And to tell yourself "I love you" to grow more confidence.

2. This is a time where you want to do more - or just want more. You may feel like there's more to get out of a situation than you're getting right now, which may be linked to card #1 about control. Whether you know it or not, part of you wants to just lean back and enjoy yourself. Maybe you wish you had more money to do something fun, buy something nice & expensive you've had your eye on for a while. The booklet also encourages you to find more of a happy medium - less stinginess but it's okay not to want to go overboard. Using your senses to enjoy the physical - taste, smell, touch. I think you could spend some more time really experiencing these things, be aware of just how amazing that bar of chocolate melts in your mouth. Booklet has this exercise about picturing yourself to get rooted to the floor, grounding yourself, and feeling how strongly you're on that floor.

3 You want to be honest about something, but probably are trying to figure out how to say it. Maybe even worried. It's something that could be taken the wrong way or is going to point out something bad, so you're trying to be graceful about it. [Which I totally think you are in debates, btw!] I think this card says this is the moment to speak up and tell the truth. Booklet agrees, saying you should be more spontaneous, let yourself be heard and initiate that important conversation (if you haven't yet). Don't let yourself be discouraged to keep quiet, it's okay to get it off your chest. Just be careful not to overdo it. It can come across as warm and honest to show others what's going on inside of you. They advise, if you're uncomfortable, to first write it out as it pours out of you. (I personally love doing this on paper and correct with a red pen! Lol but that's the Virgo in me.) Then rewrite into pretty sentences that make it feel more diplomatic. They also come with advice to sing or talk more aloud to train your throat area (and singing can be fun).

4. There's someone you need to forgive for what they did, said, or a trait you've been sososososo bothered about. Or... it could be directed at yourself, maybe you've recently made a mistake that - even unconsciously - you still blame yourself for. But this guilt or anger can turn your mood real sour or into a depression. If you want to truly let go of these feelings, start by trying to forgive. Tell yourself so. Like with card #3, you can also be honest with yourself and tell yourself that truth. Do you feel like a victim about something? Or someone else around you?
The booklet also has two exercises here: One is about finding some peace by picturing yourself on a beach. You're looking at the ocean, hearing the waves, smelling the salty air as if you can almost taste it. Feel how it freshens your mind and how the waves wash away your emotions. You can leave them to the ocean. The other one is about writing a letter about what happened and then burn it. Let the flames take 'em away.

5. There's something holding you back from doing or acting the way you truly want to. I think this connects to the other cards that talked about letting go and being honest. Think of what truly makes you feel free. Are there any people where you can be yourself? The booklet talks about running through a list of things that make you feel free - and where/how. They say there are moments where you can show yourself just a little bit more. Having been taught how to act has of course, made it harder to change. Be easy on yourself and don't expect yourself to be a totally different person right away. But you can start by thinking of what you want to make of your life, and the things that make you happy.

6. Right now, I feel you may have been avoiding contact or maybe too busy with obligations to do so. There's a reason you're not reaching out as much as you'd like to (or could). The booklet stresses how important it is to create and keep strong bonds, based on trust both ways. But it's especially important to reach out to those that are worth investing in long-term (it even mentions marriage!!), so you know you can fall back upon this person when you need it. Or maybe there's a relationship dying down that you could try to rekindle - or sadly, it may be better to just let it fizzle out.
Again, it talks about writing a letter but without sending it; instead, read it as many times as you'd like until you don't feel these strong emotions anymore. Or think of a relationship you'd like to be stronger, and what you could do to get there.

7. Right now, you have a lot of love and passion to share with others. I admit I find this card a bit vague, so I'm trying to make sense of it. But I'd say this is a great moment to spread some love around, do something nice for others, be positive and helpful to show you care. That fiery Venus wants you to do it spontaneously, just do it. The booklet also talks about creating more love in your life, and to start actively looking for a partner if you want one. To enjoy being in love again, find your passion, and if in a relationship, to put the 'spark' back into things. Try to remember what you were attracted to in the first place, reliving that moment. You can also use this card to give yourself some more love, improve a situation you're in. Ask yourself what love would do in this situation.
The booklet has two more exercises. One about collecting words, pictures and images from magazines and such and to put them together into your idea of real love. The other is a bit more extreme, writing a love letter to yourself as if you're a suitor! Get to know your positive qualities more this way.

8. Hmm. Thinking of the other cards, maybe the theme of honesty and showing how you feel will also be how to get said peace and stability. This way, you may find out where you stand with the people dear to you, giving a sense of security. Then the booklet wants you to slow down and live in the 'now' - like card #2 also said. Try sticking to a routine, cleaning up the house, a regular eating and sleeping schedule to calm yourself down, which may give you some more of said stability. It makes it easier to take on the world, problems, criticism and setbacks. The booklet also advises to take more breaks - have a moment a day where you will put aside whatever you're doing to have a moment to relax. And not to schedule too many things.

9. Pretty obvious. With the other cards, I'd say following these themes will make you more approachable to others and have more energy to help them. By showing more of yourself and being honest (cards 3 and 5) and showing more love, you'll appeal to others more and be able to make their day a lot better. The booklet talks about listening to what someone else needs and apply your aid to that. Enjoy making a new connection (like card 6!) and enjoy doing it for that reason. It recommends a book '29 gifts' by Cami Walker and to do volunteerwork. It also reassures you you will get something in return.

Just a summary and not finished yet, but it's getting late and I want to type up the beginning of Muddy's as well. Of course I'll get back to it! Faith's, too.
But here's a start!

And here's a placeholder for Faith's extended reading. So I can have them all one by one.

1.

2. Again, a card Bella had as well. For you, it describes how you feel. You're ready to spread some love, encouragement and positive feelings to someone else or even yourself. You want to find back that spark, something that makes you happy, or in the way it used to. Maybe you want to enjoy your time with your husband again, feel young without the commitments you have in daily life. Play with your children and see them laugh, smile. For the rest, basically anything in Bella's reading.

3.

4.

5.

Muddy, here's the outline for yours. Like you wanted, a shorter one about how you're doing right now.

1. How am I feeling right now?
Venus in Air - Get in touch.

2. What's the most important thing for me right now?
Moon in Air - Get things off your chest.

3. What can I do to achieve this?
Sun in Earth - Make sure to have peace and stability.

4. What is going for me?
Mars in Air - All roads lead to Rome.

5. What is going against me?
Mars in Water - Mark time.

6. Possible outcome:
Venus in Earth - Try something new.

Just gotta say I was dumbstruck how well all of your cards connected together! It's just crazy how well they all matched, with each card referring to the previous one. Can't wait to give you the full reading!

FAAAIIITH! BELLAAA!!

Thanks. It really fit with your life? That's amazing, wow. Scary almost!

The reading made me so happy, for a strange reason. I couldn't stop smiling seeing all those themes keep coming back in other cards. And that while I've never even met you two in real life and you're on a different continent!!
See?? Astrology & tarot works!

Bella, your reading's finished now, by the way.

Aaand, I've done it. Offered readings in PR for both this deck and my new "the secret language of colour cards" one. Yes, it's going to put a lot more pressure on me, but I like it so much and it may help a few more members here.
