Well, that's a novel thought!

Pixie, Petron doesn't want to allow peace. After all, this is Global Unity, there's supposed to be War here, isn't there??

I don't need your defense acoustic, as you well know.

As to what was said, if anything at KS about me, whoever said it, if they said it can stuff it where the sun don't shine.

If it were said, that was not the place to say it.

As for Petron, he called Magus/Sniper Boy on it immediately which was to his credit.

I believed Petron when he said he wasn't going to forward TINK the offensive post about her.

Obviously TINK felt strongly that she wanted to see what was being said about her.

Attempting to fault Petron for clueing TINK in at her own request seems a circuitous attempt to take the heat off where it really belongs.

Attempts to fault Pid for bringing KS to the attention of LL members who were being discussed in what members there thought was a secret little safe place to do so is equally unproductive and unresponsive to the real problem.

I don't believe any of the posters you all know from here should have integrity at stake....
It's just hurtful.

again.. I am sorry you came across an unfortunate and hurtful post that has been rehashed and gone over many many times.. but that does not make the entire forum full of duplicity and wrongs.
As has been said.. most were not aware of that post in question that has everyone ( understandably) up in arms...
But integrity is written all over this thread if you choose to look....
*okay, maybe this thread is not the best example*
But really....
Have you known any of us to tak behind people's backs? If there is a problem, (obviously by this thread) none of us have issues with explaining it and confronting it.

I mean, c'mon.

Peace already.

Not true, Petron. What he said was wrong, where he said it was wrong, and no one here disagrees on that - including Magus himself. But how many times must we say it?

EDIT: Aww, Fayte, I'm - but people are watching!!

Indeed, and you gave it back as it was received. Not surprising between opposite signs.

I wish you especially could see the site, because as I said earlier I don't need the kind of refuge some people do. If you were on my tongue at all over there it wasn't very much, and it certainly wasn't a discussion about how terrible you are.

Well, that's not hard to believe is it? The only thing that's concrete is that Petron was in there looking for something to exploit for his own purposes.

You think so? You think that a post of Magus' that's so old it's forgotten about by us, (and precedes others of us) being brought to someone's attention was a necessary action when Magus isn't in these people's lives anymore? You think the drama was necessary and warranted?

Thanks Johnny!
I agree!
I am tired of Petron going on about this.
Magus confessed.
We all said we did not condone it.
And I have already had too freaking many talks to Magus already about expressing himself in less crude ways.

Nuff said.

I also don't think Petron was there looking for something to exploit for some advantage.

I think Petron might have been there looking for what was being said behind his back...as I would have had I seen Pid's post in time.

Further, I doubt Petron had time to assess how old or new the posts were or even thought about it at the time. That post was there and he reacted...as most people would.

Again, trying to lay blame off on Petron, Pid or anyone who was not part of that group seems like blowing smoke.

Pixie, love you babe

Believe you too when you say you didn't see any of the nastiness there.

It is, and has always been, the policy that name-calling is not allowed here. I allow more leeway in GU, due to the inherent volatility of the subject matter. It has nothing to do with being friends with anyone or sharing the same political affiliation. I extend extreme tolerance before someone gets bad enough to ban (unless it's racist or equally as vile). Tempering free speech in that manner is no easy task. Magus' post would most assuredly have gotten him banned here in a flash. And Kiwigirl seems to be filled with an abundance of Love and Light.

Thank you jwhop, I appreciate that.

I think that is sort of the point here... we are not vile creatures, none of us had bad intentions in the least. So we defend until we are blue in the face ( or maybe red from talking over each other) as anyone would do when they feel like there is something worth defending. I guess I shouldn't talk for others.. but the ones who are kindred, as the namesake, I know with absolute clarity, are not as they've been painted.

AAAAAAAAnyway...
I like that last post..

Well Mirandee, you didn't listen so you get what you get, which is probably less than your really deserve.
Right now, you're getting your own version of "fair comment" and "fair play".

Hope you're enjoying being spoon fed your own medicine.

Jwhop, I have no idea what the hell you are talking about. But then again I don't think you know what you are talking about most of the time either.

I stopped reading the posts this evening when it went over 400.

Petron, this isn't like you to go on and on like this. I'm surprised.

And no, I do not think it was right for Pidaua to post this. As I stated, I knew about KS long before she found out and I found out in the same way that she did but I did not put a post in here at LL about it. Others stated on this thread, including juniperb, that they have known about KS for a long time and they didn't put a post in about it either. Apparently it didn't bother us as much as it did Pidaua because, speaking for myself, it was no big deal to me. I have never been in favor of excluding anyone or cliques. But I realize that they exist everywhere in our society. I DO understand a circle of friends wanting to get together and chat in private. People on the net do that all the time. So no big deal to me. Nor does it bother me that I was not accepted into the group. A friend asked me once if she started her own group would I join and I told her I didn't have the time for that as my grand children live with us and I take care of them all day. I see no reason for posting this but would be interested in Pid's reasoning for doing it.

Elanore, true today is Father's Day but this has been going on for more than one day and still Pidaua has said very little on this thread that she posted while everyone else keeps going on and on and on about it. I am still interested in hearing her rationale for starting this thread. Yeah she was angry. At what? Not being accepted into the group? At the idea that people on the net form circle of friends and talk in email, on private messengers and form their own chat sites? Pidaua was the one who said she understood that we all have our little hate groups here at LL. Everyone can't like us. So I don't get what she was so upset about that prompted her to post this thread and expose the group. People talking behind her back? I just assume that happens all the time in life. Why would that be anything earth shaking if they did? I am also interested in why it has you so up in arms, Petron and why it has everyone else so up in arms. Actually knowing what someone was saying behind your back? I was getting bad mouthed too by someone at KS but it didn't bother me. I just laughed at what was said. Other people do not define who I am to me. So why should it bother me to read it?

Would be wonderful if all you people so upset at someone starting a private group would be that upset over the REAL injustices in the world. The world might become a better place if people were upset less by the trivial little things in life and more upset over what is truly important.

We can only hope, Randall.

I want you to know that I do understand and appreciate that running a site like this is not easy and it must be like being a referee at times. I realize that your decisions are judgment calls and that you are human and make mistakes. It's to your credit that this site means so much to you that you are willing to put up with us.

I have to think that in the beginning when you started LL you had to learn some things through mistakes you made so I think you can empathize with AG about that. It was my impression that KS was his first site and now, in hindsight, he may have done some things differently. At least from what he said that was my impression.

On the whole I think you do a good job of running LL, Randall and I appreciate all your hard work and effort. I don't say things that I don't mean so that is not just false flattery.
