Really? Did you honestly forget, her like what, year long campaign against me? Both here and at FB? Did you forget the unprovoked venom she spewed?
I have forgiven but not forgotten.
And However no, no and no, you do not always defend any mod if ganged up on. You forgot it seems the two who have gone at me unprovoked. I can find and send the links privately if you do not remember.
You told me to take the high road and to not stoop to their level. I did as you asked,
but then to my shock and even Charmaine's;
they are lauded as people of highest character. Which leads to the next thing you said:

If you cannot see it; I guess I should give up.
I rarely bother to defend folks or speak out these days because it would be seen as an attack on Ami and not defending other members or other mods who have issues with her.
She can advertise and talk fundie all the time, but I am not allowed by inference to speak otherwise.
So...if you do not see it; then no sense in my trying to explain and point things out. Others see her passive aggressive actions.
I am not the only one. I will continue to avoid her but it makes me angry how she talks to some people. She continues to passively aggressively push her fundie religious views every chance she can find. Even her sig line is a blatant advertisement for her fundie preachings. She has and still slyly does; bad mouth women, gays, and more, but comes out all faux clean and gets away with it. quote:

Awwww...Lexxi. I just want to say I think you are doing a great job as a mod and I really appreciate your compassion. You aren't letting anyone down, so need to be sad or feel disappointed in yourself. I get where you are coming from, but never let your voice be silenced. Let yourself be heard, because I think you have such deep and insightful things to say!
I think this forum needs more of your energy because the sadness in your post clearly conveys that you care about people.

Violets seems the best choice to me because she's around fairly consistently without disappearing for a long period of time (and that means she understands many of the people and nuances of our interactions), has a cool head so can remain detached better than I think most can (and admits when she doesn't think she can) as well as getting along with almost everyone (while standing firm rather than bending over backwards), and I believe she's strong enough to fulfill her responsibilities while biting the bullet doing it (that is I don't see her paralyzed by fear of disapproval over her actions). What would you have the moderator do? Aw, Faith...   The last part has crossed my mind, needless to say. But I would do it. I've worked in women's homeless shelters and other similar places, after all. I mean, I've had grown adults with serious mental health issues, no meds, and lots of crack screaming in my face at work, and I've dealt with it. I don't care to have to intervene with grown adults when they get into it with each other, but for a number of years that was basically my job description. But yeah...everyone you mentioned are all very objective people with really gracious approaches. But thank you for trying to save me (for real). I definitely see your point.  IP: Logged |
