Thanks all the same but I have a generous glass of 10 year malt here to help sort things out. And soon off for a long soak in the bath. Relationships idling? I have Venus in Taurus and therefore have no idea what you mean. Not noticed any lack of love. Plenty about hiding in odd places, waiting to be charmed out.

The sore throat is bm's.I'm tired. We have a new Pisces roommate that is proving to be a problem. He threw a nice fit last night that didn't allow me to easily fall asleep. I would go into it (and I had started to), but it's a long story. He's troubled, sensitive, and has difficulty understanding perspectives outside of his own. He believes himself to be brilliant, but sabotages any notion of that being true with his antics. IP: Logged |

BM,I don't know why weight, height, looks matter so much. You are who you are. I never used to worry about my weight, until that became the THING to do. Once you hit puberty and things start changing, you just go with the flow. If you're supposed to be skinny, with long legs, then you don't eat and you stand on your tippy toes. IP: Logged |

AG,oops sorry, I guess I`m pretty tired. But I know such people like your roommate; it`s really difficult and exhausting to deal with them.
Actually he sounds much like the Ex of a friend of mine. We once did a personality test the answers he gave about himself were far far from how he was actually acting in real life. But when we pointed that out, he also got a terrible fit and then pouted for days. But the frustrating thing is you just can`t get through to these people, casue, as you pointed out, they are just not able of seeing any perspective but their own, and will think you are some malicious being, if you try to express a different opinion. At least that guy I knew was like that. IP: Logged |

DD,Costume crew is a great learning experience. You learn to appreciate the people who do these non-performing things SOOO much more. The actors can be trying, though. Sometimes they forget their place and i have to remind them that the world does not revolve around their silk blouses or bleach blonde wig. IP: Logged |

Yes, DD, sounds familiar to me, also. Experience tells me to only go so far in indulging such behaviour. IP: Logged |

To clarify... idling as in running fine, but not going anywhere or doing anything exciting. I know in some ways that can a preferable way to be. I'd much rather have constancy than constant drama. That's for certain. It's weird. I'm a little embarrassed feeling less than normal while posting, as if I might do myself a disservice. IP: Logged |

Yes, you two seem to have him down about right. He absolutely won't hear that he's acting out for attention. And you're right BM, I can't indulge it. There's so much I would say if I thought it might be useful, but I don't see that as a possibility.Oh, and DD, I suspect him of possibly being bipolar with his swings. He alternates a couple days being quiet and easy, with a couple days being abnoxious and annoying, and the whole time he wants desperately to be our friend (while that goal would have been fairly easily accomodated had he just acted normal). Regarding John Malkovich, I do enjoy eccentric people. My primary issue with him is his voice. It's such an odd accent to me. I've been listening to an audio book by Bill Bryson lately, and discovered a remarkably similar accent. Bill Bryson was born in Iowa, but spent a number of years (likely at least 15) in England, which I suspect to have altered his manner of speech. I enjoy the Mercurial aspects of it, and the formality within, but I'm not a big fan of the nasal sounds. IP: Logged |

I hope my pillow talk won't put you off then, because I have a bit of an ear-splitting Midlands twang. But I'm prettier than big Johnny M, not a whole lot, but I have all my hair. IP: Logged |

p.sIt's been a while but I have read the Bill Bryson books. Australia, and he also did around Europe and around the U.K, I read both of those. Right now I am on Black Death. I also just read all about Anne Lister, the First Modern Lesbian: http://www.rictornorton.co.uk/lister.htm Not sure it is enough to convert Koiflower to the delights of historical documents. She doesn't seem impressed so far. IP: Logged |

Sorry. I was abandoned in this thread, and went to reply in your boring one. Now I'm back, and you're gone. I have no idea what a midlands twang sounds like. I'm kind of intrigued. Yeah, I'm listening to the Australian one right now. He's great. I like how he mixes his own anedotes with historical stories and statistics. It's a Mercurial treat for sure. And his wit is pretty fantastic, too. A bath sounds nice. IP: Logged |

I can't even open it. My blood pressure won't all me to, not more shite on whether or not it was so nasty to get rid of Hunk of Wank? It is clearly stay away from Astro2 time. Getting through life must be tough if crying tears over the disappearance of a web troll seems normal. It strikes me particularly after seeing the 'where is Astro Junkie' thread. Well I miss Websy, I really hope he is O.K. I miss jane's wit and intelligent contributions. I wonder where mblover has got to, although he winds me up with his 6 stings, I quite like him really. Unmoved's movement away from the board was a real loss. IP: Logged |

The whiskey wasn't a 100% success as a cure, big fella, but it gave me a good night sleep. Have some cyber hugs and kisses from me, I will be off working all day very soon so I won't be around to give you any later. So have a stock to last you through Friday......... IP: Logged |
