Yes, I get that. It's not what is being said, but how it is being said that resonates more. If you're attuned to the undercurrent, you get that. Whereas other people may be more impressionable are happy to hear what they want to hear, and maybe this is where it pays off to be somewhat suspicious. I think people just want to learn about themselves, but in the end, they are the only ones that can discern what is being said. That said, it depends on how honest they are with themselves too.

Sounds like Mickey knows how it works. Maybe people were too irked by too many mentions of the dogs and couldn't stand another round of acceptance speech. As you said, plenty of other awards. Hopefully something will come of it for him. I hope he's got more to offer and he's given the opportunities. It's interesting when you see the cynicism - that he just knew he wouldn't win. So much for the Oscars being about that single performance.

Another performance that lost me was Catherine Zeta-Jones winning some years back. There were plenty of rumours about the influence that Michael Douglas has in Hollywood when that happened. I'm not a fan of hers so it's hard for me to not be biased against her. I really don't like her. CZJ and J-Lo are the same to me. Can't stand them.

What you said about being rejected and being gay and a certain level of expectation there, I always get that sense about Glaucus when he talks about race in the threads. There is an element of being defensive about something - probably in most people - whether it be sexuality, nationality, skin colour, hair colour, paternal or maternal settings, whatever. Everyone has at least one. Everyone has that sensitivity point. Hard won wisdom can come from being defeated or just accepting. There's always the struggle of the disillusionment of the beliefs of others for me. There are times when I just can't believe that people believe the things that they do. And it frustrates me. Wisdom suggests each to their own, but still, are we going backwards or forwards as a human race? I really wonder sometimes. There are times when Astro2 does not help there.

I think I'd kill for some caffeine right now. Preferably in the form of a nice cold glass of Coke! Ah, I can feel it now. Oh, that was the Solo slogan wasn't it? Oh, well, whatever.

The people who really face an up-hill struggle are the ones who know from the start they are in some way not entirely acceptable to the people that made them, or not entirely welcome on the planet in some way.

My high confidence score on the personality test is due to my mother making sure she knew I was not in this category. It was instilled from birth on purpose.

Though the masculine part she would be the first to disapprovingly say this is my aggressive side coming to the fore. That just is, I don't know why. It just needs channelling ~ that's where astrology helps.

Of course sometimes pointing this kind of astrology out falls on stony ground.

That's highly perceptive. Brilliant observation.

I just love what you said about your mum. To me, that's what parents are supposed to do. That's what I try to do with my children. It's challenging at times when they have others (children at school) telling them otherwise, but I think if you give them that psyche at home, they can withstand the rest in time. My son has a lot of problems with being teased. He's inherited that whole "you're really weird" vibe from me and he gets it at school like I did. Funny thing is that he's really really bright but just not in an obvious academic way. The kids are just picking up on all that Aqua - 5 planets. He's quite quirky - but he's very very sensitive and quiet and shy. At home he's quite loud and outspoken. He comes home and dissects them like a brilliant psychologist. I tell him that he's the most brilliant person in the world and he simply replies "I know". Job done. I wish my parents had been like that. But like I said to spunky the other night, you learn from what you didn't have and how you would have liked it to have been for you. I'm the parent to my own children that I would have liked to have had as mine. Hopefully that translates as being the parent that they need me to be for them. You do the best that you can with what you've been given. If I listened to the people who brought me into this world - quite genuinely - I wouldn't have given myself much reason for being. The greatest thing anyone can give you is a feeling of worthiness. You can do the rest. It's what propels you to do the rest.

The way I see bm, she takes it on intellectually. Very smart lady we have here. Incredibly perceptive and articulate. You can see it in her perceptions as well as the way she expresses herself. It's unique - her correspondence style. Very very bright.

I see you very much the same way wheels. You express yourself differently, but as intelligently and articulately.

Over the years I have developed what I suppose could be called an Anger Management strategy. I have an internal dialogue going that tells myself to calm down. Once someone I was working with said she was quite amused when she saw me repeating, "calm, calm, calm" to myself. I didn't realise I was doing it aloud. But she wasn't that amused, I shouted at her once and she was very upset. I did apologise afterwards, but I should still have walked away or something.

Walk away ~ the key one for me and mr bm as we have Mars Opp Mars. Over the years we have learned the signs and walk into different rooms until things settle down.

Other things help - yoga, and being offered gentlemanly services on a regular basis. I don't know if that is hormonal, but I am at my most aggressive mid-cycle, worse than PMT time.

Being involved in male environments and hobbies helps. At work it is more a female environment but I get on alright, but mostly I am out dealing with the public on my own basis. It's rare work situations in the library and information field get stressful and prone to the kind of situation that is going to trigger me off.

Writing helps. There's a rant in my diary goes on for several pages. No-one can read it though, the handwriting is serious spider scrawl for that entry.

So it's a mix. Do something that gets the anger out in a controlled way, or tell myself I am winding myself up over nothing, settle down and/or walk away.

My Mars is in Aqua, which is good symbolism for me, it is a mental rather than physical ire. Kick-boxing or sport won't release it in the same way as Yoga.

I think Zala and spunky have a simliar communication type. There's a real quirk there. You can see the repartee between them. It's like their own language. There's a lot of dotting the i and crossing the t and the feeling of high level semantics behind it. A certainly lyricism that comes from high intelligence. I'm not sure that either of them get that about themselves - that they both translates with tremendous intelligence as well.

I find having people who can see through the ******** too helps a lot. Sometimes you feel like you're the only one. There's a great reassurance and kinship when you know another person sees that someone else or situation for the total arse that you are seeing them or it. It helps.

Good day/night everyone.

Why thank you for the compliment but I don't know if I deserve it. I just try and listen to what people say and take it on board.

Astrologically we have here Mercury CNJ Saturn Trine Pluto. Chewing the cud over. If we are generous with orbs the Moon gets tied into the whole process.

...that's just it, dismissal by people who don't really know, they can't, to not get why he feels that way.

I liked the Loki necklace. Better than a tie, any time.

Whilst we are on a roll of praise can I leave a little bit for Miss Meta, who I am sure is going places. Hopefully with someone watching her back to make sure she doesn't get too upset. Upset in a different way to I get, but a version of the same thing. Calm. It can be hard to find.

Thank you for the flowers, not sure I deserve them, but I am going to put them in some fresh water anyway. Virtual water, the computer won't like the real thing.

Sweet dreams, Spunky.

Thanks PA. That means a lot

Thanks for such a detailed description BM. I could do with taking some of that on board. Good tips there. Retrograde Mars in Taurus, I don't half bottle things up. Frightful temper.

My T-Square goes something like this:-

ASC Scorpio (close in degree to Metas)

Opposite Venus/Mercury in Taurus

Square Mars in Aqua in 3rd CNJ NN

... so there is Taurus in there...

There is a slow-pressure cooker than needs to let off steam at regular intervals. A little blast of irritation now and then, a little swear under the breath, a little rant in the bathroom. It saves a temper explosion later on.

Sorry, I didn't make any sense there, I was just saying it in advance as I am supposed to be going to do some work.

But once again, everyone is being far too interesting.

Have you read MVM's chat-up lines?

We need a best ever lines. I've got a good'un. Did he get some? Oh yes, he got plenty.

Right, must work now.

See you later, Wheels, and sweet dreams when you head up the wooden hill, Spunk, whenever that may be!
