I quite like IQ Hunk's law of attraction comment on astro: if you stand around waiting for your knight to arrive, you are just going to attract more waiting. It doesn't quite explain how if you act like you need help performing a basic task, men will trip over themselves to do it for you and act the hero. Not that I would ever be lazy enough to exploit my femininity in such a mercenary fashion. IP: Logged |

Back in school we had to do some social citizen class thing where we got to wire a plug. The teacher said: don't you be bothering doing that, love, I'll do it for you. I got an A. I'm not making this up, I promise. He taught me well, I've never touched anything electrical in the 20 odd years that followed. I don't even change the lightbulbs. IP: Logged |

LOLSadly, I have to do it on my own, changing lightbulbs I mean, as there is usually no man around. But I swear when I am at home and see a big spider, I still shout for my Dad to remove that hindrance to my sleep for me. Of course I am very well able to do it myself, when I am alone at home. The neighbour nearly ran in when I asked him to move a moderately heavy object (that I could have managed myself) from one room to another. You could pluck a man off the street to lift furniture. The perfect chance for them to look strong and in charge. They know we do it, they love it and so do we, I bet your poppa loves being asked to rescue you from the hairy spider. IP: Logged |

Hey, here's one! He's just risen from his chambers. A furniture-moving, jam jar opening, spider chasing, man to the rescue.
I like to have a brotherly figure around to kick down my door if I am locked out, have a little word with anyone who messes me about, lift heavy objects that I am far too feeble to carry.

He's not going to be able to shifty up a triple ladder and clean out the guttering in that clobber, it's true. btw it really is true that one of my friends came around and kicked my door in when I was locked out. It was quite impressive. Doesn't say much about the door though. However, I also have a friend who is a carpenter, who fixed it for me after....as I smiled sweetly and made him some tea..... Hmm.. James Purefoy in pink. There's something scandalous about that. Like going to a dinner party and coming out of a coat closet after the french maid. I don't know why... I looked at his handwriting on that photo. He has very connected handwriting, especially since it's supposed to be in print (i'm guessing). In graphology it would tell me that he's emotional. He likes and needs to be emotionally close with others. I'm also pretty sure that his lines and words were close together, which means he's affectionate. He needs physical stimulation- which i could help him out with any time. IP: Logged |

LEXX quote: My current husband and I did not do the standard vows in any way, shape, or form. Not even close to standard.
IMO that is the smartest thing that a person can do.....be aware of the promises you intend to make & realize if you can keep them, if not change them. Good for you. I have been engaged 3 times & each time I was "in love" with the person but deep down in my spirit I knew they were wrong for me. I experienced this panic deep in my gut that what I was doing was WRONG, WRONG, WRONG & I needed to run fast lol. (confirmation of my decision to not follow through has always come after the relationship ended) lucky me. IP: Logged |

Wow, I never wanted to marry until I was about 29. Then I grabbed one and married him - get it over with once and for all, I said I never wanted to marry more than once - I don't think many people go into a marriage going, Oh well, I can always divorce. Or maybe they do, but I couldn't relate. I knew i made a mistake when I married this person because I couldn't stop tossing my cookies on my honeymoon. But I was dead-set on going through with it, because I'd emotionally invested (it was like the brakes weren't working anymore lol). Now that I'm divorced I'm back to thinking, Marriage doesn't really make a relationship for me, it's just something that maybe happens if you have a good relationship and you decide to marry if you want. Oddly, I needed the ceremonial vows of marriage at that time (it wasn't a traditional ceremony, we had eloped to Montana in the mountains and wrote our own vows). I felt like that ritual made me emotionally graduate or something, it was a rite of passage. But it was like bitter medicine going down. IP: Logged |

Thanks for clarifying, AG...makes a lot more sense to me now. Don't know if her theory would work though I can see why it might And I can't think of something Venus-related for me...well, I could, but that would still be a catch-22 ...maybe shopping for kinky new stilettos or something..... Grertings again from the library! I haven't read any posts on here for fear of seeing these pics in a public place! But I'm pretty chuffed with myself as I've just looked up the details of David Williams from Little Britain and before I looked them up I predicted that he was Leo/Virgo and definitely Cancer rising. He was born 20 Aug 1971. Matt Lucas I predicted being Pisces (with a little bit of Aqu) with Pisces Asc. He was born 5 March 1974. I've done well Speaking of which, is anyone familiar with the show? I'm struggling with Anne and Dr Lawrence? Is there any theories as to her split personality out there? Is Dr Lawrence's presence or the other doctor's presence (or rehabilitation) make her infantile??

Best thing is don't look or wait. Just be happy with yourself and things come to you I've noticed. It's when you don't look and don't wait that things appear, including mates. IP: Logged |
