Haha, me too...you know, my ex was so in awe of Bruce Lee that he seriously contemplated legally changing his first name to Bruce at one time! It's a shame Lee died so young. I would have liked to take some lessons with him for sure.

I was about 8 or 9 years old. We had a shoddy VHS recording of one of his movies, I can't remember which one, and I was transfixed. You couldn't budge me away from the TV, and we played that tape til it died.

Your ex was so cool then! Why did you....?

Nevermind

"Take lessons with him." Um. My ambitions went a little further.

Aaah, the glorious age of the tape recorder Glad I'm not the only one who remembers it. I think I must have been similarly smitten with Luke Skywalker! (the character not the actor). But Bruce Lee was just cool on so many levels...

Actually I liked that about my ex, but years after our thing ended, I got myself someone who was even farther advanced on the Bruce-spectrum…!

Bruce Lee might be dead (poisoned - if i recall) - but his teachings live on through his legacy - Jeet Kune Do. There's plenty of Jeet Kune Do masters whiling to teach his style - "if you're whiling to learn".

Looking back - most people i knew behaved the same (both kids and adults) - we were all glued to the TV while one of his movies was on - fascinated by his roles and his acting (especially - the fight scenes). Most boys wanted to be like him - and there still are some that do (adults not boys). Then again - even beyond movies with Bruce Lee - watching almost any movie on VHS - was deemed as a special moment. I remember spending an entire Sunday at a neighbor - watching a collection of Disney Cartoons and sure felt like "something else" - compared to what was available on TV. What can i say: childhood memories. ^^

In "synchronicity type of way" - his chart was among the first that surprised me a bit:

I mean, it's as if - "Bruce Lee's char/t was made" - by some control freak. Maybe him too - created his fate - before he was born (before he came into this world).

Yes, that chart is awesome, once saw it years ago and still remember it. Eight planets in fixed signs, Sun conj. AC, and that mega-T-square with Scorp stellium landing on Pluto in H8….how very fitting.

I think after his death it was concluded he died from some meds for a headache that caused a swelling in his brain or something like that - an accident, maybe facilitated by a prior injury from one of his fights…

Ok to bed now, it's late in Europe!

I bet Brandon was Bruce's "little dragon."

Sad that Bruce died so early in life, but it's also sad how Brandon died.

I met the writer of The Crow, and my friend became close friends with him. They are rebooting a new movie called The Crow.

Many may not be aware of this, but Bruce Lee gave private lessons to Elvis. *karate chop*

FSU just got destroyed. I mean, left as roadkill.

This pleases me.

Maybe OSU will somehow miraculously beat Alabama too,

I should have paid closer attention when I glanced at it a few hours ago. (I even got his sun degree wrong ) That is pretty wild. Pluto taking all that tension and funneling it through a trine right to the sun-ASC. It just looks potent.

Lots of happy memories in my memory bank, too, of lazing around with friends, watching VHS tapes over and over again.

I know right?!?

I've been wondering about this game since I saw this matchup. It's not over obviously but I think OSU got overlooked a bit.

Yeah, I agree. OSU had a rough start with injuries (I mean a third string qb is out there, crazy) and bad losses, but they are a really good team.

Now, are they better than TCU? Idk if I agree with that- I think TCU should have been #4. But OSU is giving Alabama a good challenge, which is hard to do with their defense.

But, the on bright side my team won last night.
