That's a vague comment...I don't follow. As for the dating example, I think women expect men to understand signals, and it's not too much to ask, as some men read those signals pretty well, at least where getting a date is concerned. To just say, "You're a coward, not worth my time," to every shy girl you encounter blacklists shy women from your dating future and shifts the blame to a whole class of women for a problem you could remedy yourself (by learning some basic cues.) *pulls the wank alarm*
Faith, The problem is alot of men do not understand womens signals. Heck, i'd wager that most don't, atleast that's the impression I get from most of the guys I talk to. Me and my friend were talking about this on our way home from the new years party we went to. To make matters worse alot of women will tease guys and act like they are interested when they aren't. The thing is these women who do these things always have plausible deniability because they never directly say anything! I recently had a girl leading me on for months. That's the kind of stuff I hate! I hate indirect communication. You can't blame this conversation on me because you took it there and now i'm finishing it.

Maybe so, I am not sure. I do know that real fights do not play out like action movies. I always laugh when i'm watching those movies because they are so unrealistic it's pathetic.

AG, how do you know women are "teasing" or "acting interested when they aren't"? Maybe they are just going with the flow, having fun and showing what they feel. Only when you demand a black-and-white answer, and they say "no," do you rewrite history and call whatever they did teasing. Maybe their answer just means your timing was off, or they have too much other stuff on their plate to get into it with you or whatever.Funny because my first boyfriend asked me out many times before I said yes. He was smart and could tell that I was warming to him but wasn't quite there yet. Another guy asked me out many times for the same reason. I was just undecided...and HE was the one giving mixed signals in that case, so I was just mirroring them back to him. We went on like this for three years...me being totally attracted to him but waiting for a signal that he wouldn't just break my heart and toss me aside. So. I wasn't flirting but I was genuinely interested in him. I blushed when he was around. I said "no" to his date offers. That's not teasing. That's waiting and seeing. IP: Logged |

Another reason why I edit so much. Not everyone needs to be privy to the personal details of my life. See, there's that Scorpio prevalence coming out from the depths of my natal. IP: Logged |

Faith, Don't you see that what you are suggesting is kind of crazy and unreasonable? Men are not mind readers. It's even more crazy considering you have all these feminists berating men for not knowing that "No Means No". So men are just supposed to know when it's ok to keep pushing despite a woman's protests or when the rule that "No means No" actually applies? We are just supposed to know that she is just playing hard to get instead of teasing/leading us on? Now sometimes a man will gamble in those situations and things will turn good for him but most of the time the risk outweighs the reward. IP: Logged |

Okay, wait...I know that I'm totally carrying on my own thing here, but none of my Meyers Briggs personality stuff describes me (like, at all).I'll have to find the original results I got that actually made sense (and I do remember that the first part was "Introverted"). Anyway... IP: Logged |

I totally understand the deleting impulse. But fyi I didn't mean "people watching" in a probing way...superficial details are interesting enough. Or the odd things that happen in people's lives, like wet children with Bibles coming to the door. IP: Logged |

The thing with this is you never really know for sure because women are rarely direct when they flirt. However, If a woman is flirting with me and I make a move and get rejected I'm going to assume that she was just being a tease. When this happens to me I think of it like that really mean-spirited joke where someone asks you to come sit by them and pulls the chair out from under you at the last second so you fall on your a**. It's not a fun thing and really undermines my ability to trust women and their intentions. IP: Logged |

All I know is that the other two that I took today were like "WTF...?!" I remember the ENFJ resonating with me, but I'll have to read it again. IP: Logged |
