PD is so amazing, I miss her a lot. @Violets, I don't know Jello except for this song: Pull My Strings Someone put it on a mix tape for me. Does Pluto make me political? I guess it's as you would expect: no patience for BS anywhere. But especially where you have the abuse of power/politics affecting people in a tragic way. Such as we have in war, or suffering from the overreach of the medical establishment (like this story of a girl who is being forced to take chemo) and environmental issues that hit close to home (gas drilling, legalized sludge dumping which is my current catastrophe.) These things elicit a Plutonian response in me... I actually have to pretend things aren't happening so my head doesn't explode. Delusion is underrated. IP: Logged |

Yep. I do what I can where I'm at, with what I have to give. Sometimes that's as simple as helping my neighbors or donating toys and baby clothes to the local DV shelter. Other stuff is always in the back of my mind, but that's my rule of thumb. What I can do, where I can do it, with the resources I have to offer.

^^ I like that. If only I could find this song I used to listen to...the refrain went, "There is only so much I can do to save the world..." (Which may have been more fitting for a Cap sun conjunct Pluto song.) For now it's just small and local...and I like to think there's a butterfly effect. ^^ Pardon my corny emoticons, I love them. So why is everyone so grumpy about being cheated? They liked the wine, didn't they? According to the criminal complaint, Mr. Kurniawan used his sophisticated palate to mix and blend lower-price wines so they mimicked the taste, color and character of rare and expensive wines. http://www.wsj.com/articles/rudy-k urniawan-counterfeit-fine-wine-dealer-sentenced-to-10-years-in-prison-for-selling-fake-vintages-1407432096 J/k about how his clients have no right to complain...but that is admirable...if only he did it for a party trick and not to make around $230,000 a bottle. Still, ten years in prison just for faking wine sounds kinda extreme. Chemical wine is another story and I am totally lost...maybe that's a European thing? I know so little about wine. I just know I like organic red wines from South America that cost around $12 a bottle. Oh and thanks for saying I could look 20 with certain...um...miracles. :) Bella really is about that age!
Maybe this article could help: http://www.jennyandfrancois.com/about-us/what-is-natural-wine/ quote: What is natural wine?First we’ll start with a simple definition, then we’ll move on to a more complex one. What we call natural wines are wines made with the least possible use of chemicals, additives and overly technological procedures. That includes chemicals in the field, such as pesticides, as well as things like like sulfur or any of the almost 200 allowed additives that are legally permitted in wine. And it includes many technological manipulations of wine that we think erase the individuality of the product and the place it comes from–the terroir. Our definition of natural wine is very similar to the German purity laws of beer making, which say that beer can be made only of water, barley, and hops. Purely natural wine, to us, is made of grape juice and little else.

I posted some songs in your thread Faith. I'll have to go back and explain them. But, the main gist is that I am dealing with being more aware of my intuitive powers and learning sometimes we should go with feelings instead of our heads. Figuring out the true nature of others and seeing their downfall ahead of time. Learning to protect and preserve my energy for things of importance to me. And seeing that change does not have to be bad, no matter how badly it seems at times. Pluto destroys but rebuilds a much better version of you. Coming into personal power and letting fear go. Learning that old habits are no longer working for you and being okay with being truly comfortable with letting your inner self out. IP: Logged |

Sorry, heh. I have to acknowledge that this type of thing has actually been happening a lot more since Neptune has come over my Sun. It's always sort of been there a bit, more or less, but now it's definitely there...just not deliberately, most of the time. There's a thread around here in Gaia's Garden, where I hadn't been around LL for a while, and felt the inexplicable feeling that someone had posted something specifically for me here. So I looked, and Randall had responded to an old thread I had posted, and asked me a direct question maybe 20 minutes before I felt the need to check. That was odd. <Eta> That picture of the rabbit is making me laugh a little more every time I look at it! Also, I went back and looked at the thread in Gaia's Garden, and I guess I showed up about 12 hours after Randall posted the question to me. Weird.

No, no, no. Not you. I was speaking towards the corruptness of society, the political powers, people who abuse privileges, those who really inflict harm onto others. Too many coincidences where I sense something bad will happen, and bam it happens later. Believe me, I don't like having those feelings, but I have them every so often. Normally the energy I get is on good or neutral things. And if I thought something concerning would happen to friend, I would give caution and advice. Don't worry. IP: Logged |

*Breathes huge sigh of relief* Neptune loitering around my stuff really does make for some paranoia (as if having it prominent in my chart, along with a Virgo Moon, doesn't already do that). I'm sorry that you have to deal with knowing such things. That sounds like a very heavy burden to carry. Love and light to you, Bella. IP: Logged |

You wrote this around the same time I was experiencing a very sinking feeling that this may be the case. Lately I have been more at the mercy of my feelings and that is scary to me. For the obvious reason that I am a Capricorn and that is not how I roll. Even my admission here that I was having a breakdown is not typical. (My emotions were very powerful and I couldn't figure out where or how to "anchor" again. Nevermind that the incident wouldn't be as shocking to others.) quote: Originally posted by BellaFenice: Figuring out the true nature of others and seeing their downfall ahead of time. @VioletsNot surprised at all that you sensed the question waiting for you on a thread. I'll bet it's just been one thing after another, and you have my sympathy because I can just tell that the "novelty" of psychic powers may not always feel so great. There are certain things that happen to me that are very similar.... What really fascinates me is how my own self-control, and willing myself to feel better, has its limitations...there seems to be a point where other people have to do their share in order for me to feel better. I think sometimes we are plugged into the Oversoul or whatever, and it takes skills I do not have, to unplug. In the past I was able to steel myself and be more deliberate about the thoughts I kept in my brain (and the moods those thoughts corresponded with), but that's not working so well anymore. ^^ It used to work but now it doesn't...need something more. At least I know I need it. That's step one to finding it. Love that lotus picture you posted. Hope you are all having a good day. IP: Logged |

Reading about wine while drinking some. Fun I'm drinking... Organic variety. Decent (for a cheap wine) but I liked the Merlot better. quote: Originally posted by 7thGuardian: Maybe this article could help: http://www.jennyandfrancois.com/about-us/what-is-natural-wine/
Wish I could get my hands on some biodynamic wine! quote: Biodynamic grape growing is a type of organic viticulture that uses special preparations of herbal sprays and composts, and time their applications according to the lunar calendar. Biodynamicists look at their land as a complete living ecosystem, as a living being that needs biodiversity in order to be healthy. Biodynamic winemakers often also live and work in a farm, with wheat fields, animals, fruit trees, woods, and vines striving to be self-sufficient. The soil is not seen as the surface for production but rather is considered an organism in its own right, and preparations are used to enhance the micro-life in the soil. The soil is part of the context of lunar and cosmic rhythms. While some of the techniques of biodynamics often sound hokey and strangely spiritual to us, they in fact date way back to the ancient ways of our ancestors, to a time before many technological manipulations existed. Rudolph Steiner, an Austrian philosopher, is often credited with having laid out the basic tenets of biodynamics in a series of talks he gave in the early 20th century. Steiner gathered together the oral traditions passed down by simple farmers for thousands of years. Many of these ideas were based on the work of monks such as the Cluny sect in France, that spent countless years tinkering with various mixtures and timing of preparations to find what worked best, in a trial and error basis.

quote: Jean Luc le Du has been a fixture in the New York City wine scene for almost two decades now. He helmed the list a sommelier at restaurant Daniel in the mid 1990’s and also designed many of the lists at Daniel Boulud’s renowned restaurants, including Café Boulud. He opened le Du’s wines in 2005 and put together a slick, huge, and very successful wine store that is one of the city’s best. Needless to say, Jean Luc has tasted and bought an incredible amount of the world’s most storied wines.
You know I could technically drive there, to that wine store, in three hours? And I really would love to. Anyway I took some notes. Jean Luc says that what he likes about natural wines is their "funkiness" and "personality." The best winemakers, he says, are conscious and respect the terroir, they spend more time in the vineyard than the cellar, and they have "the best reason!" to not using pesticides: they want their children to play in the vineyards, unharmed. Well that is pretty darn cool. I will drink to that! IP: Logged |
