Just a word about astrology~

Sometimes the truth of it is really striking. Even something as "minor" as duads... I was born in the Cancer duad of Capricorn, and I can't think of any famous women born on this day who aren't famous for cooking, or at least do cooking shows on the side: Nigella Lawson, Ree Drummond (Pioneer Woman Cooks), Gabrielle Reese.

Just baked myself a cake and have to frost it. My 4 year-old requested "gummy bears surrounding it" and I was so delighted that he knows the word "surrounding," I am going to do just that.

(edit)

I'm sure you would not mind what I normally do, Faith, and yes, I also think that's because of much the same letters But in real life, I have unknowingly made rather many enemies by pointing out logical flaws in another's argument, especially when younger.
I work in a predominantly male environment with lots of alpha males who always want to keep the upper hand in everything, and when correcting their logical flaws, this often resulted in such people feeling humiliated (something I completely neglected to take into account as I really thought a debate was about facts, not personalities). I guess it's even worse coming from a woman...

Yet another problem concerns those social niceties… I think aquaguy mentioned Asperger's and though nobody in my family has been officially diagnosed, I suspect it's prevalent in my people and to some degree also present in me. It seems as if the INTP type may generally tend to resemble someone on that spectrum a little, and thus to be lacking in social skills. I also involuntarily make people cry sometimes by criticizing their work or attitude (even though I try to do it in a constructive and humane way). Ugh… I wish I were better at this because unfortunately, it's part of my work to supervise others and it feels rotten to make others so unhappy. Have tried a lot of things to be more gentle yet effective enough but somehow I don't feel it gets much better, I thought it had but during the last few weeks alone I had several crying incidents… Should I hand out cookies before the talk? (Suggestions welcome)

Hooray, another storybook! I loved this glimpse into your real life, Vajra.

I'm not walking in your shoes, seeing what you see, so it's hard to give suggestions. All I can say is, when I'm talking to people face-to-face, I am sometimes critical but never make anyone cry. As a Pisces moon I partake in whatever energy I create...so if I'm making someone else cry, I might be just as miserable myself. (This can be a real downfall, because there have been times when I really should have pushed an issue further, even to the point of lawsuit, and someone's crying made me back off.)

For the most part, it's difficult for people to annoy me. Even if they are being annoying and I notice it, I typically don't feel annoyed. If I have to tell one of my friends that they're annoying me, it's easy for me to say it in the gentlest way possible and then drop the subject like it never happened.

If I go up against people in a political argument...or when I did in the past, as I don't really do this anymore...I would just keep my demeanor friendly while arguing my point. I would put in concessions wherever they were warranted to keep things fair and amiable. I would agree with whatever there was to agree with, always striving to attain as much common ground as I could. But I had no emotional excess to deal with because I had done my homework, was confident in my arguments, and had nothing to lose through anyone's criticism. From my end, everything remained cool...it's not like they could trigger any insecurities because I had none, when it came to my positions.

In a work situation, if the success of a task required cooperation from everyone involved, and I was in charge, I would be very irritable. Even before anyone goofed up, I would be on edge, because I am a real perfectionist sometimes. I would be like those irate chefs you hear about who hurl platters of sliced ham at the wall when one apprentice messes up the garnish. (Sun square Pluto. Do you have this too?)

I had a situation sorta like this this past autumn when I was the set director for a play my children were involved with. I didn't like everyone looking to me for directions; I would rather work non-stop for days doing everything myself than have to delegate, deal with sub-par work, and deal with criticism from people who didn't understand my challenges. Nuts to that.

So no, no suggestions because I am not suited for that kind of job. Maybe someone else can chime in.

Might delete this later.

Geez, I kinda hoped a gentle Pisces Mooner would have a secret weapon of gentleness to deal with other people's emotions better. It's so exasperating because I sometimes don't understand what the cause of the tears really is. Sometimes it happens when I say something positive even. It's exasperating to say the least.

I always come back...and sometimes lurk for a little while.

But here's my whacked transits, for some insight...

My head is in such a fog with t Neptune exactly opposite my Moon, about 1 degree from my Sun, and square my NN exact.

Meanwhile, t Uranus is square my Saturn exact, and Saturn is about 4 degrees from my NN, getting ready to square my Sun and Moon.

SO much going on right now that my head is spinning, so...eh. I'm really no good for conversations in any way right now.

See you guys when I get back, or I'll just pop in occasionally.

Yes yes, please do! Our emails never get old heh.
I'm okay. Super busy with therapy, self-help group and just started light therapy for winter depression. Hope you're doing great too!

And ohh. Guess what I saw on my daily transits email?
Sun conjunct Moon
I even got INFP as well like you. Figured we'd get the same result. ^

Enjoy the rest of your birthday

Not sure what to say...the more I focus on this, the more interesting but problematic the whole jumble of energies seems to be. All I can do is wish you the best of everything the experience has to offer...and greedily hope you'll make time once in a while to grace us with your beautiful presence!

Rie, happy birthday to your (very cool, very auspiciously placed) moon

And here's some light therapy:

I'm having a great day, thank you ~ it's quite amazing, really. I've got good friends, great people here at LL, I've heard from my brothers, my kids make me the cutest things (!!)...we even had a picturesque snowfall. I am truly blessed.

Thanks again for thinking of me.

Still celebrating but I have to tell you the cutest story. We all went to the mall, my husband took the boys to the Lego store, and I asked my daughter if she wanted to come with me to Sephora.

She was like

"SEPHORA?! ME?! WE'RE GOING THERE????"

I never heard of it before you mentioned it, but she had this idea like it was the Promised Land. She was on cloud nine the whole time, couldn't contain her excitement, squealing over everything. (She's 12.) I bought the little Caviar starter kit (love the smell, yum!) and my daughter insisted on holding the bag so everyone could see where she had been.

Not sure how this happened but as I was checking out, a woman who worked there looked right and me and said, "Happy Birthday!" I just laughed for a second at the coincidence, since she was obviously talking to someone else. But then she looked right at me again...it really couldn't have been anyone else...and repeated it. My daughter didn't seem to have a clue about it and I don't know how else this lady could've known except she was seriously psychic.

I love Sephora, the atmosphere really gives me a lift, the products are beautiful, they employ psychics, and we'll be going back!!! So far this is the only gift I bought myself and I'm really happy about it ~ will be dreaming of shiny locks as I wear this overnight repair creme.

Thanks again for the great advice!

Sorry...I...I...d-d-d-didn't mean to let you down...

Just kidding!

No, I really can't deal with job stress like that, I keep myself out of situations that would frazzle my nerves. I have a ton of patience, but once it's gone, I am not fit to be around anyone.

Maybe you project a powerful emotional energy? Sometimes people cry when they are healing. It doesn't always have to mean you did anything "wrong."

Btw, what about dry shampoo, Bella? And a blow dryer. Would that be helpful for AG?

Glad you've had a nice day and splurged at Sephora yourself.
