Mirandee, if you post your e-mail address anywhere on the Net that receives a lot of traffic, you will get porn, SPAM, and viruses. SPAMbots scour the Net for e-mails. ------------------

randall, all i would request is that 1 person.....magus, be banned from LL....just based on his past posts here, not anything else.....
as long as his vomit isnt being spewed onto my computer screen, i dont give him a second thought, despite AG's suggestion that i have some kind of "vendetta" against him and that i would go hide at some other website and make violent, pornographic, insane posts about him......

Two things I'd add: 1. It's absolutely your perogative to boot whoever you like, and I wouldn't defend anyone against that. 2. I'd also think that's it's a thin line of separation to do it via forum or private email. Potentially anyone with their friends email address could comment on LL privately and free of scrutiny. I am protected against those things by Norton Security and Venus Fly Trap, Randall. I have a firewall also. So someone had to have submitted my email address to those sites. No way could anyone get past stealth firewall from Norton Security. I am not even seen on the internet. Least that is what I am paying for. IP: Logged |

AG, I meant that basically once a Member, you could not be banned no matter what you said. Even free speech has its limits. To do nothing is to condone it. My parents told me to look closely at who I hung out with, because that is how the world will view me. I must say that I understand that now more so than ever. Fayte, no matter how you feel about Lotus or how differing your opinions, I don't see how you can call her "sick" when your friend is detailing how he plans on brutally raping TINK and killing Jwhop with a sniper, and even now you defend him. Perhaps, it's my disdain for the "bleeding heart" types in society that makes me proud to be Republican. There's no excuse for the inexcusable.  ------------------

One thing you can do, Mirandee, is mix your e-mail address up so the bots can't find it. Somthing like "mirandee located at blah blah period symbol commune without the mune" That works for me, anyway. IP: Logged |

Ah, I see what you mean, and I can see the justification for thinking that way. That's certainly how I am in my personal life, and certainly those that like/admire me here are generally great people.There are occasions, however, where you become friends by association. At the time of KS's start up I had to get Sue's friends to ensure keeping contact with Sue. Magus is one of Sue's friends who had her email address. In my personal life I could relate it to having to put up with a family member who acts inappropriately, or a roommate. You hate to go through it, and you certainly don't let that person define who you are, but you realize you're not going to change that person. IP: Logged |

That's your call to make, Randall. But wouldn't you be banning Magus (as Petron suggested) based on what he said at another site instead of LL? I know that what he said was awful and showed lack of respect for women on his part, certainly not something that I condone at all, in fact it made me sick. But he DID come on this thread and apologize to Tink for saying that. Maybe you should get Tink's feelings regarding banning Magus since he directed the remark at her and apologized to her. As a Christian when someone apologizes it seems the right thing to do to forgive them. Just my way of thinking. But to me someone saying they are sorry is really asking for forgiveness. Since I am not without sin I am not going to cast any stones at Magus or anyone else. Especially after they apologized. Not defending what he said or his behavoir, don't get me wrong on that, but I am defending his apology. It has to count for something. IP: Logged |

last fall when i brought up the magus quotes about tracking down jwhop and sniping him from 300 yards......you were right there defending him AG....saying things like "its understandable he would say that Petron, after all its jwhop he's talking about....."then sueg made the claim there are much worse things said here at LL than that!!! of course then that thread was deleted too....the way you guys run around behind him cleaning up his sh!t all the time......
