Except me!

Or was that what you were talking about? I editted it when I didn't think my smiley conveyed the appropriate tone.

you should be directing that at AG, ive already posted sufficient examples of magus quotes and his defenders.....i dont need to add lies to that......they stand on their own......

[reply to Johnny]

well, it appears that what you're saying, and will continue saying, is what an 'admirable' person Magus is...

and what a 'villain' Petron is, for protesting something he is justified in finding unacceptable.

so strange...

Salome, most of the members said they never saw that post with those remarks by Magus.

It requires a certain amount of trust in other human beings to not automatically assume they are lying when they said they did not see the post. So you have to go by what those people are like here at LL. Do you think Pix has shown here that she is a liar? or Fayte? or Lialei? or Johnny or AG and Zala? I think they have shown that they can be trusted at their word and they have sworn over and over again that they did not see the post by Magus. From the set up I saw when KS was up there were different threads just like here at LL. I know I don't go to all the threads here at LL. Do you? Do you read every thread? So that they did not see that post seems very believable to me.

Unless you have already made up your mind not to believe a word any of them say, that is. I can't believe you are like that, salome. I don't think you are anyway.

That's what I was talking about, Petron. My aim was to subtly do a Jedi-thing to make you consider what it's like to not be able to convince someone that you're not lying because you have no proof to back you up.

I was referring to SueG, not Magus, also, btw.

EDIT: Mirandee
- Saw your edit, on the last page. Thanks for your forgivenes. (Not meant sarcastically, btw.)

i'm not saying anyone was lying...

i just find it very hard to believe that Magus' post escaped everybody's notice there...

esp with what a large and tenacious fan base he has here....

Yeah, I don't think anyone's saying he's particularly admirable. And I think Petron will finally rid himself of Magus.

What I'm disputing with Petron is the case he's attempted to make over and over again, which is that KS was all about talking about people behind their backs, and escaping there to plot and scheme and hatch evil plots on LL. That's extremely far from the truth.

I never said he was admirable - I said his words were admirable. (EDIT: In his apology on the last page! Can't believe I didn't clarify that!) I said that I like him. But I wouldn't call him admirable for his words any more than I would call him vile for his words. It's what's inside that counts, if you can ignore the inherent sappiness in that, and from what I've seen, Magus is overall a good guy.

EDIT: And I have nothing against Petron at all. I don't even know what his point is, anymore, except possibly to get Magus banned, but I have nothing against him.

Mirandee - I'd like to clarify that I never said either that I never saw that thing about Tink. I don't remember seeing it, but I may have. Like Tink says, it probably wasn't shouted in an empty room. I may have seen, ignored, and forgot it - it's entirely possible. I hope that wouldn't make me a bad person, but I guess that's up for trial here, too.

I don't think it would make you or anyone a bad person if you saw it and forgot about it, Johnny. People are different. Some people do have retentive minds. I used to be like that most of my life. I could recall word for word just about every conversation I ever had with anyone. Now my memory is not as good so I can't do that any longer. But my husband has always been the "in one ear and out the other" type. He talks to our son on the phone for hours at a time and when I ask him what our son said he can't remember. This always amazes me. lol

Most people do not store conversations in their minds or what they read. Some people do. Doesn't make anyone a bad person. If you are used to a person like Magus expressing themselves that way in anger then it might easily be forgotten as just another one of his tirades.

must be why you forgot to go get that post of jwhop threatening to track someone down, learn their routine and snipe them in the head with a high power rifle from 300 yards eh mirandee?

I'd be mighty hypocritical of me to defend Magus here but keep my mouth shut about Tink there - that's what I mean. So I hope I didn't see it.

Thank you again, though, Mirandee, for your continuing "vote of confidence," as it were. It's enormously appreciated.

Petron, am I just dense, or is almost everything you say terribly cryptic?

It's like a riddle wrapped in an enigma. Jwhop with a high-powered rifle?

OMG!!!!!! mirandee?? you can get "used" to that kind of thing?? is that what youre saying too?? that its "understandable" because we hear that from magus all the time??!!!!

and thats exactly what im saying......for a tirade like that to just slip by unnoticed it must be surrounded by alot of other similair sh!t!!

i guess one gets used to frequent, violent, disturbing outbursts like the one directed at Tink....so much so that they're no longer noticeable...

but lotusheart asking you to go within is so utterly reprehensible that you have to go start a secret society not only to escape her presence here....but to continue to express hatred for her over there as well....

this is the twilight zone....

I think Mirandee just said something about not knowing Magus and only having talked to him once before, so that's prolly not it, Petron.

Or maybe it just wasn't in a popular thread, and wasn't widely viewed. I wish we didn't have to leap to the worst possible conclusion in every single case, here.

johnny.....why is it i can remember details from posts that were deleted last fall but you dont know what was said in the last couple pages here?

last fall when i brought up the magus quotes about tracking down jwhop and sniping him from 300 yards......you were right there defending him AG...--petron

Come on, Petron. I am a non-violent person and even I have felt like saying something like that to Jwhop. He has the tendency to bring out the worse in people. My mars is in leo don't forget. Actually I don't hate the miserable old fart at all but it's fun making him think I do.

Besides, I heard Jwhop threatening to do that to someone at GU too

Ah, dense, then. Thank you for the clarification, Petron.

In my defense, it *is* pretty late here...

If that were all it were, it would be nothing. But it's not, and I don't think that anyone here thinks it is.

If you're not familiar with Lotus, Salome, I could dig up some links for you. "Go within," isn't even significant enough to call the tip of the iceberg in comparison to some of the absolute verbal abuse and harassment she's been subjecting members to since almost she got here.

the point is is that Mirandee is defending Magus and his fellow kindred souls for the fact that what he said about Tink (which goes far beyond verbal abuse and harassment)...is so 'typical' of his style of expression that no one really notices it any longer...

i'm at a loss on that one.

its the same thing youre all saying....and i paraphrase....."magus is always going on like that"
