I was just coming back to respond to your comment to me last week. I still have the cold, and am having trouble hearing. I haven't eaten as much soup as I should have been, I've just been living on tea, mostly, and making ramen noodles when I was trying to break up congestion a bit.

Uni classes will start soon. I'm feeling a bit down because I won't have much time to hole up in my work room and to play with the little ones. Hah I've just installed a lock on that room. It's off limit because I use turpentine and I don't want them to inhale the fume. The other day my s.o caught the two hell raisers standing on a pile of books trying to reach the door knob.

I'm excited to learn Italian. I hope that I'll be able to read books written in Italian. Wouldn't it be nice if I could understand every language on this earth? Then I'd be able to read all the books I want.

Such a beautiful dream.

I almost smacked a b*tch yesterday. I don't get physical with women, but this one was something else. And just the other day I was saying to Faith that I felt kinda peaceful these days. Heh.

She rented my friend's house. Trashed the place. Sht ensured. Then threatened to get violent. Was so smug thinking that her "drug dealer" boyfriend could scare us. We let the authorities dealt with her.

What nightmarish people.

Ugh, I would've smacked her if I was the one dealing with her. I wouldn't take that kind of crap at all.

Then come home and struggle to eat, take a bath, and sleep. Sometimes it's because everything hurts. Sometimes it's because I've given everything away and have nothing left for myself. I am getting better at setting boundaries, taking care of myself, and saying "no." But it's a slow lesson, and I have to be patient with myself (and others) in the process.

In the helping professions it can be challenging to keep the work/life balance.
I think part of it is an overactive conscience - we are constantly faced with people whose lives are more challenging than our own, which, for me anyway, can create this idea that I need less because they need more.
I need to slap myself from time to time though, and realise I'm less use to others if I don't have structure and health myself.
