When you go out of your way to try to help someone, and they complain all the time about their problems, yet won't let you help them. So damn stubborn!

Its like they enjoy being miserable, I just don't understand people like this.

I wish I didn't feel so dumb, when trusting people who were acting nicely. Why the on/off switch? I give up.

Gahhhh!
Seriously.

I know (and am related to) people like that. It's not so much that I offer up help, but I listen to them complain about the same petty or just downright crazy crap every time I see them, and it's almost always self-inflicted.

I do actually believe that some people just don't want to be happy. If they did, they wouldn't do stupid and unnecessary things that give them "reasons" to complain.

Like everything is someone else's fault (whoever they're ticked off at for the moment).

If it's a friend or acquaintance, I generally just distance myself from them quietly until they stop trying to keep in touch with me (it probably sounds harsh, but I don't have that sort of time or energy). When it's a relative that I love and otherwise enjoy spending time with...not much to be done about it, really.

Erghhh.

Some people are just that way, I guess. I dislike the on/off switch thing as well, so when people act that way towards me I try to be polite, but take a mental note that they're not people I want to be around a lot or confide in.

I can sometimes have a mild on/off switch, but only with people who have basically demonstrated that towards me first.

Sorry you're having to deal with that (and for the record, I don't find you dumb in any way).

Yes I understand, they are always putting the blame on someone else and not accepting any fault of their own. I wish I could just stay away from this person and ignore them, but they are one of my relatives and it difficult to avoid hearing such complaints.

Would just be easier if they would shut up and accept help that's being offered to them.

Thank you.

I don't get that feeling from you; this is something that I should have seen coming.

I also wanted to apologize to those who may have assumed the same thing about me: there are people I've been meaning to respond to for the past few months, but I was out of it again for a while there, and now I need to find the threads. I'm too tired tonight, but I will do it. I usually don't have an on/off switch, I'm just scattered or depressed. So I'd hate for anyone to think I was doing that to them.

Oh no! Sorry you have to have a hospital stay.
They don't make them very comfortable or attractive on the inside, do they? I always wonder why the obnoxious split pea soup colors for the interior. Even the new hospitals have it, it's baffling.

For the most part I was fine but after being here for 2 days and dealing with this nurse today who was being very condescending, I'm like 1 second away from spazzing. I thought I could handle everything on my own (hours away from home at college) but I just called my mom to ask her to come in.

I seriously can't be bothered with rude people and something about that women didn't jive with me at all.
I'm not looking forward to this hospital bill either.

And you know what sucks even more? Is that I only came here for an abscess draining and I planned on being in and out the same day but no, they keep me here since Saturday and now they want to send me back to my dorm with home health care (probably more money) and I have to get the abscess repacked 3 times a day!

When I went to urgent care and had the SAME procedure done, I was in and out the same day and they only repacked it twice and I had no problems.

Ugh. I had an abscess once. They packed it for me for a little while, and then taught me how to do it myself. It's not too hard, actually.

When we had a resident at one of the group homes I worked at who developed one, I knew how to do it for him.

I know what you mean, though. When I had my son, the attending nurse was absolutely hideous the way that she spoke to me (not even sure why, she was just awful...I was in a lot of pain, and I don't think she had much sympathy).

I was like "Um yeah, you definitely should NOT be dealing with pregnant women, lady."

Hrmphh. I don't usually hold grudges, but that woman should not be a nurse.

20 out of 25 correct. He gave us less questions.

I would've done better except for when we were going over the correct answers to the study guide the teacher was going too fast and I didn't have a chance to write it down. I marked stars next to the questions I didn't have but when we finished we moved on to another assignment snd I forgot to ask my friend for the correct answers...so thats why

I'm super happy! My friend Richard wants his family to be healthy so he sold me a whole bag full of treats (candy +chips+oreos, etc)for $3!!!ITs atleast a 10 or 12 dollar value. I already sold a nerd rope for $1 and there are 46 items left so I'm going to make some money.

If I can't sell it I'm just going to give it to my friends because they help me get the correct answers in my college readiness math class and they totally deserve it

But yeah he sold it so cheap. I guess he just wanted to get rid of it or something

I can't get away from this Moon event that's happening tomorrow.Even people who aren't into astrology or astronomy are posting about it on fb.I don't want to read about it.As if I'm not paranoid enough.I try my best to not look at anything predictive,it worries me.
I just hope tomorrow goes good and we all make it to a happy Wednesday.

I don't know how to say what I want to say, without it ending in another flaming and locked thread. I had been about to respond to something in a thread of my own (not fighting, just a comment by MoonWitch, and another by PixieJane that stirred thoughts of my own - like my being on the receiving end of both bullying and shunning, and they both felt bad in their own ways, and re: moonwitch, just my thoughts on when to walk away). I made a suggestion to Randall, privately, instead, but I'm not sure if it's any good.
