I'll take that as "Prayer Works" I'm very pleased. I've been thinking about you and your dad all along. So, yes, the collective energy must have contributed. I'm sighing from relief, actually. I kept on darting in and out of your thread to see what's up. Okay, Unmoved babbles when she's happy. I'll zip it now. I hope you can also rest easy knowing he's ok. edit: and she speaks of herself in 3rd person. Shhheeeesh! Wtf? IP: Logged |

Thanks a lot. I'm sure I will rest easier than if something else happened. He is recovering. Last I heard, they were keeping him sedated. It's gotta be tremendously painful. I can't imagine getting my sternum cracked. My mom called it a single bypass on Facebook this evening. IP: Logged |

I know more than one person to have a quadruple bypass and be just fine afterwards, and recover surprisingly quickly! I am sure he will be fine. They will probably give him a bunch of information on diet, excercise, stress reduction and so forth. Some people ignore it, and some people take it very serious. Don't know which sort your dad is though?Anyway, just letting you know, I'm thinking of ya. IP: Logged |

He emailed a bunch of people today, including me. I thought it was strange that he was back emailing so quick (though I grant that it's not a super demanding thing to do). It seems that he is doing pretty well.IP: Logged |

I'm trying out Target's $20 tooth whitening system. I'm on day two, and it does seem to be working. Even yesterday I could see the difference. I'm not going to give you pictures, though. My teeth aren't atrocious, but they are on the smaller side, and they're not perfect. Even perfectly white they wouldn't enhance my smile enough to show them.IP: Logged |

Hi AG!Ahhh! I just finished painting my nails and I thought "maybe I'll do a whitestrip" but since Design Star is coming on probably not... So strange, I live for coincidences (and I'm a nerd)... IP: Logged |

Lol. I use the kind you put on at night. It is in a little bottle and has a brush. Your not supposed to talk or eat or drink after you put it on. Yeah, that doesn't work for me. The 'not supposed to' stuff, but the whitener works pretty good! Good for your Dad, Ag, if he is up to emailing, then he must be feeling a lot better.IP: Logged |

Ohhh...Design Star... I totally could have watched that last night, and I forgot about it. That sucks. I'm pretty sure that last week it came on at 7:00, so it wouldn't have interfered with my 8:00 show.IP: Logged |

My dad is apparently acting stupid now; trying to act like what he just went through is no big deal. He's also been asking for candy a lot, and he's a diabetic.IP: Logged |

Whitener : Baking soda. Hands down. Never mind all that other fancy crap - baking soda works extremely well, alone, or in combo with salt.

As for your dad, I'm glad to hear he's better. He might be acting like a big kid, but it's only natural. It might be a good thing that he's acting like it's no big deal. Emotional survival method... And why would he want anyone to know how weak he really feels? To have people tip-toeing around him and being all 'careful'... it would drive me crazy too. "Now, now dear, take it easy. Remember what the doctor said..." When my dad got on chemo a few years ago he was a complete and utter nightmare for several months. He was always such a nice, gentle, kind person, and transformed into a kind of scornful, hurtful monster with anyone and everyone. It's partially because of the chemo, but also he just seemed to have so much anger (understandably so - can you imagine how it feels when you're that sick? It's like your own body is betraying you ... how do you deal?) IP: Logged |

I can definitely see getting p!ssed at your body for the betrayal to your life. I can even see getting a little wreckless as a result if I were really p!ssed. I hope I won't be if I follow suit someday. Time to start learning yoga. Oh, and you know that's part of it too: he isn't good at relaxing, which I completely relate with. IP: Logged |

I don't have my Dad's birth time, so I don't know his chart for certain. Regardless, the synastry aspects should still work. I just found out I have a double whammy with him.My Sun opposite his Uranus. His Sun opposite my Uranus. Interesting. There were lots of red lines in our synastry chart. His Saturn in Virgo (oh man, I just realized he just had his Saturn return) sits in a t-square to my Mercury opposite Saturn. IP: Logged |

SR in Virgo... telling, don't you think? What's comforting is that this episode might motivate him to drastically change his diet, exercise routine, etc. Saturn is tough, but he definitely does change one for the better, no?I remember when Saturn first hit my Sun, I quit smoking. I haven't smoked ever since. It's been a year, or 11 months... All I know is that I had to be hospitalized for an out of nowhere pneumonia to change. Now I must just hit the gym. Quitting smoking is not kind on my figure. but, overall, I am healthier, my voice is better and due to that drastic health scare, things have improved positively. IP: Logged |

was he born in 1950? saturn in virgo, cancer in uranus i guess he must be around there. you have a young dad.he may just be feeling really pleased to be alive and not willing to waste time mollycoddling himself. far from feeling betrayed i would be feeling very powerful coming through the other side like that..more likely he feels betrayed not to be able to eat candy whenever he wants! there's a lot of interesting research being done on diabetes at the moment. some people do better following their own choices. tough call. all the best to him whatever! Yes, April 14, 1950 in Havre, MT. He's got a Saturn/Venus opposition that's square my own Saturn/Venus opposition. Pluto smack dab in the middle of Leo. IP: Logged |
