Wow you have the deepest eyes. Do you find it hard to hide your emotions because your face or eyes give them away?I have that problem.. can't hide my feelings from anyone lol.. ------------------ "Secrets and lies can sleep from the walls of Rome if we sit hard enough on them. I think so, and I also think I sometimes count on that. Having an 8th house Sun and Gemini Rising I tend towards subtlety, so I hope people catch a glimpse of understanding what's going on inside when I'm not interested in communicating in an alternate way. Conversely, I am a bit on the quiet side altogether (not shy, or afraid to talk, but just self-contained), and those close to me sometimes have to ask me for clarification on how I'm feeling about things (maybe because they see something in my expression that I'm not talking about). lol...yeah that is soooo me. If I'm in a bad mood people can just look at me and know I'm upset. I get asked "what's wrong" and so I'll try to "nothing, i'm alright" my way out of it but my eyes give me away... I hate that about me sometimes. Sometimes I just need to cool off without people probing..if that makes sense.

With Mars in Scorpio, I'm a bit of a slow burner type when it comes to my temper, so I know exactly what you mean. Part of my keeping my emotion under wraps is for the benefit of those around me who might otherwise bear the brunt of my intensity. IP: Logged |

LOL! Yeah I know what you mean. My 16 yr old will get in my face trying to cheer me up or get me to smile if I'm upset and I just have to tell her to let me have a few minutes to re-coop...nothing personal, just give me a few minutes...Nice eyes... my favorite feature in a person is their eyes. Like they say they are the windows to a person's soul.

I've been wandering around most of the weekend. It was supposed to be my big shopping weekend, but pricing was better online, so I actually shopped at home, which had the added benefit of being able to be shipped straight to my parent's house where I'll be for Christmas.I spent too much time yesterday being helpful to my roommate. Then I wandered around Best Buy looking at the stuff my brother wants, and realizing that amazon.com is either the same price or lower. Eventually, I came home and ordered everything in one go. Today I went to the mall for quite awhile. I went searching for some new shoes for me, and perhaps some small gifts. Eventually I was successful in finding a pair of shoes. I came home after that, and went over my finances to ensure I knew where I stood. Then I went to Restoration Hardware to see about getting some of their cheap gifts. In particular I was after the disguise moustaches. Unfortunately they were closing, so I didn't get to go in. Then I had dinner at one of my favorite local Mexican food places. Afterward I headed to get my haircut. It didn't/doesn't occur to me that things close early on Sundays, so that didn't happen either. Did a little grocery shopping. IP: Logged |

Nope. I think it's the Virgo Moon. I don't consider him a friend. I just take pity on his existence. I was upset with myself for doing it before it was over. Disguise moustaches because my brother's the baby of the family, and he can be a ham. I think he might like them. My favorite color is blue. IP: Logged |

No one's missing out much by not visiting Florida, believe you me. I can't wait to get the %$& outta here! About Virgo moons: AG, I swear, you guys make the best listeners. Every time I'm around a Virgo moon I find myself revealing super personal stuff I've never told anyone. I think Virgo moons might function more strongly than the suns...it seems that way somehow sometimes. IP: Logged |

LOL... yeah okay, but still you're a good person for helping him no matter what your opinion of him may be. And so Virgo's make good listener's? I make it a point when someone wants to talk..even if I don't want to hear it I'll sit and hear them out. I never knew why I felt the need to sit thru hour or longer conversations without excusing myself, but I do. I'd end up feeling guilty if I didn't. I am my worst enemy...

I guess it 'naturally' conjuncts, AG. I never checked on that except once, and it technically didn't. Hmm, now that you mention it... A friend of mine who was an Aries felt I was an excellent listener and my moon conjunct his, so yeah... (but he yapped nonstop. Everyone to him was an excellent listener whether or not they liked it. So, bad example LOL)I just find Virgo moons good listeners who don't get too 'emotionally caught up' in a situation, if that makes sense. I admire that because I get really hooked into what people say sometimes and have a hard time detaching, except if I dislike someone. OK, here's a question for you: Do you remember your dreams, and if so, are they vivid? Do you dream in black and white, or dream in color? Have you ever had a dream inspire you or make you obsess about something? IP: Logged |

Yes, I can detach with the best of them. quote: Do you remember your dreams, and if so, are they vivid?
I sometimes remember my dreams. Sometimes a reminder will come during the day, and suddenly I'll remember that I had a dream the previous night. Are they vivid? Is there a special meaning to "vivid"? They are in color, yes. I don't typically disbelieve them when they're happening. Ok, I looked up vivid just to ensure there's no special meaning implied. I believe they would qualify as vivid. Although...what would be an unvivid dream? Could such a thing exist? I don't think they've necessarily inspired me (except maybe sexually occasionally), and I don't think they've caused me to obsess. They are often a little strange, though. Gotta run. IP: Logged |

New content!I was wondering where to put this. I thought about maybe devoting a thread per song I'm interested in currently in Yellow Wax, but I don't know if that would offend anyone. So here are some songs I'm recently taken by: ______________________________ I think I'm taken by not only the good and catchy music, but also the verbosity. All my Mercury influence enjoys a good wordy song from time to time. No wonder I like the Gemini and Virgo singer that I do. Can't Say No by The Helio Sequence captivate, cultivate, relegate and chalk it up to the basic needs dissipate, isolate, these days you can't run or believe all that you read and all the kids with the down-low brainwaves holding up signs saying "guns kill, gods saves" and all in the form of the faceless news cast commercials that say live well but die fast even if you wanted to even if you could, oh-oh you can't say no even if you wanted to even if you could, oh-oh you can't say no calculate, consecrate, elevate it, give it up to reality distillate, venerate, these days you can't feel or concieve all that you see and all the kids with the soundbyte slave chains choking up lines playing who's-who mind games all in the spell of the speechless redress commercials that say take more but give less even if you wanted to even if you could, oh-oh you can't say no even if you wanted to even if you could, oh-oh you can't say no consummate keepers of many left wondering desolate dreamers with heads caught up in the sway obstinate heeders of organized ignorance making up rules for the mute and the willing but all the kids that are raised in the freefall and from the silence of a pacified strip mall they pay the wage with the dollars of gravity on their bedside, oh, my conscience calls to me even if you wanted to even if you could, oh-oh you can't say no even if you wanted to even if you could, oh-oh you can't say no ______________________________________ bluemoon if you're out there, I kind of hope you like this next one a little. It has a nice folk feel. The primary sentence may be too redundant, but otherwise I like the sound of this song. Shed Your Love - The Helio Sequence I won't print the lyrics as they're fairly distinguishable if anyone's really interested. ______________________________________ This is another one I like for the sound of it. The lyrics would be good, except for that one line, "But in my heart there is a shower." That line doesn't do much for me. I wish he'd have chosen some alternate for that line. His singing is great in this song, especially his extended, "Gone". The studio version's instrumentation is more sparse.
Hope She'll Be Happier - Bill Withers __________________________________________ This song just crept right into my consciousness one day. I'm sure I've heard it plenty of times before, but never paid attention to the lyrics. This is definitely a lyrics song. As - Stevie Wonder (Whoever transcribed these was a little annoying about it. I don't have the patience right now to correct it.) As around the sun the earth knows she's revolving And the rosebuds know to bloom in early May Just as hate knows love's the cure You can rest your mind assure That I'll be loving you always As now can't reveal the mystery of tomorrow But in passing will grow older every day Just as all is born is new Do know what I say is true That I'll be loving you always Until the rainbow burns the stars out in the sky---ALWAYS Until the ocean covers every mountain high---ALWAYS Until the dolphin flies and parrots live at sea---ALWAYS Until we dream of life and life becomes a dream Did you know that true love asks for nothing Her acceptance is the way we pay Did you know that life has given love a guarantee To last through forever and another day Just as time knew to move on since the beginning And the seasons know exactly when to change Just as kindness knows no shame Know through all your joy and pain That I'll be loving you always As today I know I'm living but tomorrow Could make me the past but that I mustn't fear For I'll know deep in my mind The love of me I've left behind Cause I'll be loving you always Until the day is night and night becomes the day---ALWAYS Until the trees and seas just up and fly away---ALWAYS Until the day that 8x8x8 is 4---ALWAYS Until the day that is the day that are no more Did you know that you're loved by somebody? Until the day the earth starts turning right to left---ALWAYS Until the earth just for the sun denies itself I'll be loving you forever Until dear Mother Nature says her work is through---ALWAYS Until the day that you are me and I am you---AL~~~~~~WA~~ ~~~~~AA~~~~~~~AA~~~~ Until the rainbow burns the stars out in the sky~~~~~AA~~~~ ~~~~AA~~~~~~~AA~~~~~~~~~AA~~~~~~~YS~~ALWAYS We all know sometimes lifes hates and troubles Can make you wish you were born in another time and space But you can bet you life times that and twice it's double That God knew exactly where he wanted you to be placed So make sure when you say you're in it but not of it You're not helping to make this earth a place sometimes called Hell Change your words into truths and then change that truth into love And maybe our children's grandchildren And their great-great grandchildren will tell I'll be loving you Until the rainbow burns the stars out in the sky--Loving you Until the ocean covers every mountain high--Loving you Until the dolphin flies and parrots live at sea--Loving you Until we dream of life and life becomes a dream--Be loving you Until the day is night and night becomes the day--Loving you Until the trees and seas up, up and fly away--Loving you Until the day that 8x8x8x8 is 4--Loving you Until the day that is the day that are no more--Loving you Until the day the earth starts turning right to left--Be loving you Until the earth just for the sun denies itself--Loving you Until dear Mother Nature says her work is through--Loving you Until the day that you are me and I am you-- Now ain't that loving you Until the rainbow burns the stars out in the sky Ain't that loving you Until the ocean covers every mountain high And I've got to say always Until the dolphin flies and parrots live at sea~~AL~~~WA~~~AYS Until we dream of life and life becomes a dream-Um AL~~WA~~AYS Until the day is night and night becomes the day-AL~~~~WA~~AYS Until the trees and seas just up and fly away-AL~~WA~~~AA~~~~~ Until the day that 8x8x8 is 4~~~~~AA~~~~~~~AA~~~~~~~AA Until the day that is the day that are no more-AA~~~~AA~~AA~~~AYS Until the day the earth starts turning right to left-AL~~~WA~~~A~~~AA Until the earth just for the sun denies itself-~~AA~~~AA~~~AA~~~AYS Until dear Mother Nature says her work is through-AL~~~WAYS Until the day that you are me and I am you Until the rainbow burns the stars out in the sky Until the ocean covers every mountain high Until the dolphin flies and parrots live at sea Until we dream of life and life becomes a dream Until the day is night and night becomes the day Until the trees and seas just up and fly away Until the day that 8x8x8 is 4 Until the day that is the day that are no more Until the day the earth starts turning right to left Until the earth just for the sun denies itself Until dear Mother Nature says her work is through Until the day that you are me and I am you _______________________________________ Ok, last one for now. I heard this one recently in the movie 7 Pounds. It was Muse's version, which wasn't the best, but I do like the song. Oh wow. I just realized that a full version of Nina Simone's version isn't available on YouTube. That's a bummer. Feeling Good - Michael Buble live on David Letterman

Ok, here's my idea for leaving music somewhat in the hands of the universe:Using a set of variable questions and a randomizer, I can map out the basic structure of a song. Time Signature To keep things simple I'll stick to just the most common time structures, 3/4 or 4/4, which will essentially be decided by coin toss or having the randomizer pick between 1 or 2. Randomizer says: 1 (3/4 time signature) Key Once again, I'll keep it simple, and only let it choose amongst the simplest parameters; those being the easiest guitar keys: A, C, D, E, G Let the randomizer make a list containing one number amongst the five possible. Randomizer says: 3 (Key of D) How Many Chords You could technically do as big a range as you're comfortable with. I think I'll limit myself to up to six chords for each of the chorus, verse, and bridge. This is a set of chords that will be repeated. Randomizer says: 3 Verse Randomizer says: 3 Chorus Randomizer says: 2 Bridge Chord Progression Keeping things simple once again I'm going to limit my chord selection to six, which will keep my song in key (which isn't always something I'm real keen on). The chord list always starts at the root of the key, so since we're in the key of D, these will be chord possibilities: D Em F#m G A Bm Randomizer says: 3 5 4 = F#m A G Verse Randomizer says: 6 5 1 = Bm A D Chorus Randomizer says: 1 3 = D F#m Bridge Summary Time Signature = 3/4 Key = D Chords per Verse = 3 Chords per Chorus = 3 Chords per Bridge = 2 Chords of Verse = F#m A G Chords of Chorus = Bm A D Chords of Bridge = D F#m That provides enough of a framework for writing a song. There are still enough variables available to be creative with. Additional Questions For The Randomizer Time Signature Change at Chorus? Yes or No Speed of song? (You can decide how many variables you want) Length of chords (I'd do measures or half notes) You could set up a question for using chords outside of the key you're in, and then another one for which chords specifically. etc. etc. IP: Logged |

It's a drum that evolved from people using their food crates as drums. In their modern form, the one pictured, the one I have, has adjustable guitar strings right behind the front plate that give it a snare or crate-like rattle. They call the sound "sizzle," but if you loosen the strings it's definitely more like a rattle. You can also loosen the top corners to expand the sounds (it gives like a ruler on a desk kind of slap, and sometimes sounds like a snare rim). Usually, you sit on it while you play it. I've found that it does have a good range of tones. You can get a decent bass tone out of the center.Cajon Demonstration The guy in the above video must either have a significantly different cajon, or he might have EQ-ed it to boost the bass.
