I always enjoy your posts, AG. You write conversationally, which is always interesting. Strangely enough, so do I, but I'm obviously a scatter brain ADD type, so my posts are usually awkward and sporadic. Man! I wish LL had spell check! LOL. So used to it in Word, which is what I spend most of my days in at work.

We got a new laptop at home, so now I'm net accessable on the weekends again! Woo hoo! It's an HP and was a good deal. Yay for tax refunds. The virus we got from FB destroyed our old laptop. We're donating it to an organization that gives laptops to kids in hospitals, and they apparently have a great IT team that can fix it. It would be too expensive for us to fix it and keep it, so we figured why not do something good AND get a new one at the same time. Everyone wins!

I'm in the process of transporting all our pictures from our camera onto this computer, videos too, and installing the printer while L takes a nap.

AND... It's snowing again! We had no snow on the ground, crazy flooding and rain, and now there is snow again and it will be snowing through the night... Maine is crazy...

I don't know why I don't post MY crap in my own thread, lol... I just invade yours and share.

Hope you're having a good day, all! AG, are you guys getting the west coast storm I've been hearing about?

ghani,
If you want spellcheck on the web, you need to use a browser different than IE. Use Firefox, it has a built'in spellcheck that comes with it turned on by default. That's what I use at home - it works like Word - it highlights misspellings.
Maybe IE has some kind of an add-on you can use, I don't know.

I watched the video. I am supposed to be kind of crazy in my role as well, but unfortunately my lines aren't all that crazy.

What is an old prospector? I think I know, but it doesn't fit with being in a shop buying porn.

An old prospector is a guy who searched for gold in the Old West in California. He wouldn't exist in modern times, so if he did come across porn I'm sure it would be quite the novelty. Not only so, but he's probably not around a lot of women when he's out prospecting, so he's not the most well-mannered kind of person.

And do you lot never sleep? Both you and MVM were posting in the middle of the night?

It was Friday night. I think I was in bed by 1:00am.

Yay! I hope to get a new desktop computer with part of my refunds. My dad turned me on to Tiger Direct (.com) where he got his last computer. They have starter kits for building rather amazing computers pretty inexpensively. I think he said he spent $600 on his, and it was the fastest, smoothest computer I've ever worked on. I won't be quite as extravagent, but it'll definitely be an upgrade nonetheless. The better the computer, the easier it handles stuff like music recording (which is pretty memory intensive).

We were supposed to start a good gusty rain storm midday yesterday. We got some rain and wind around 1:00, but it was gone by the time I got off work. There were plenty of ominous clouds in the sky, but the sun was shining as if it were taunting the weathermen. Never rained again last night (to my knowledge). This morning (I just got up not long ago) it looks quite sunny out there again. I cracked the sliding door in my room, and it seems quite pleasant.

LOL Ghanima!

AG - have just worked out that you are 8 hours behind, I thought you were 5, which would have meant you were posting at 4 in the morning! Silly me.

I am off to bed now (it has been calling me loudly all day), be sure to put your water-wings on and stay safe.

I was just trying to install the bracket that carries the bike lock onto my bike, and the screw that was clamping down the bracket went right through the plastic of the bracket. Even with the washer (that is intended to prevent that from happening) in place. I'm not sure if I should trust this lock company at the moment.

Sneezed a peice of rice?? hahahaha! That is precious, and I didn't know that was physically possible, shows you what I know, or don't know!!

Eh, last night was my daughters b-day party, although technically her b-day is today, 1:27 pm on the 28th. I can't believe she's 19, and I can't believe they are inducing her baby next week!!!
Holy crap! Where did my life go? One minute I had three little kids, and the next minute *whoosh* they are half grown, or in her case, grown. It's freezing here, but I am cozied up with the doggies, and it's sunday, and my house cleaning is done, and I'm feeling particularly blessed. did you see that, AG? I've learned hearts, I'm very excited about that, only took, what 11 months???
Think what I might know 11 months from now? (scarey thought)

No joke - this was in Target (a major chain discount store like Walmart, Eskimono). This bike accessory section is very near the kids toy section. Parents be warned. I had to buy it.

That's awesome
I'm so glad you got a pic of that, AG

The other day I passed by a yellow 'Slow Children At Play' sign and almost spat out my coffee.

I'm curious as to why you bring your camera in Target????

That is priceless though, wow, just wow. I need to check my target, my bicycling scorpio friend would think that is the coolest thing since sliced bread.

Well, my phone does have a camera, but I did happen to have my camera in my backpack, because ...it was a beautiful day (I had to be prepared. I was a boy scout once, you know.).

There was no way I was taking that out of the packaging until I got a picture. I got several actually. I thought about sending the whole thing in to Jay Leno. I'm sure it would have been a big hit. I'm keeping it for myself, though. I'm sure I'll show it off to everyone. If anything, the lock will be stolen before my bike.

You've gotta watch out for those slow kids, MVM.

Ahahahaha! That's brilliant about the lock.. Whew.. pretty much almost spit coffee on my screen.

So, I'm pretty much convinced I am the only person in this office capable of stocking and changing the toilet paper and paper towel rolls in the restroom... WTH, people?

I tend to be that way, too, Ghani. I don't know if it's a Cardinal/taking initiative type thing, or a mild OCD type behavior that makes us do it.

Probably both... LOL. I LITERALLY do not remember anyone ever doing it. I came in the morning and noticed the paper towel roll gone and waited on purpose to see if anyone else would do it, you know, especially if they used the restroom. NOPE. By 11 am, still nothing. Jeez... That grosses me out jus a lil bit... Are you people washing your hands? Do we need a hygeine lesson???

It feels like November today. Grey skies, naked trees and all the snow is gone again. I feel like I'm in England again...

Spring is almost here though! I believe daylight savings is this month some time... Sucks to lose the hour of sleep, but it's great to gain the hour of light!

OK - so I am reading all of these posts on my IPod, thinking 'why are they all finding this lock so funny? Maybe it's some wierd American humour'. So, I thought I'd leave you all to it rather than rain on your parade.

I've just looked again on the laptop and am thankful to say you are off the hook - that's hilarious - did you really find that AG, or are you just winding us up??

Re 'washroom' towels - afraid to say I would be one of the offenders. These thoughts just do not occur to me. Strange, but true.

I have had some good financial news today - it's a yipppeeee day for a change.

I DID really find that!! I couldn't believe it either. What luck! lol Maybe I'll demonstrate it for you on video. The little PORN key ring is now on my key chain.

Yeah, when I checked out at the cashier I had to point it out to him.

Cool, my kitchen clock will be right again. It's only right six months out of he year. Cause I don't bother changing it.

So, have you ever thought you liked a band, like for years and years, and then REALLY listen to them, and decide you don't? Isn't that weird? Like all of a sudden, you're hearing it for the first time?

Yeah, so I really don't like The Foo Fighters after all. Why is Dave Grohl always yelling at me???
