Congrats AG, you are a popular and much loved guy.

Oh, why thank you!

Yeah, I had to come in to see who did it. Today's been much duller than I'd like.

Won't be around much today I'm afraid. Maybe at lunch time. Now that they've let two people go, we have one person out sick today, so lots and lots of work for me.

But again beautiful.....I am not feeling very musically inspired at the moment, when I do I will send some stuff....I feel content in the knowledge that if you like Erasure and Wham! you will not think my choices 'uncool'!!

I heard Mumford and Sons new one on the radio today, and liked it a lot, I will see if I can find it for you.......

Umm - odd lyrics and odd video, but nice all the same. Think I'm gonna have to download this album.

Really liked what you said in the "Asteroids" thread:
quote:
It's ok. I'm really not trying to be a pain in the ass. I'm just good at deconstructing ideas. Scientifically, I agree that asteroids should be given a chance to prove themselves. I just want people to see that we're capable of constructing a justification that may not really be there.

You are very skilled in this way, I agree.

Can you believe there was actually a song with the lyrics "bowel shaking earthquakes"?

Eww.

I realized this morning that I missed a post of Eskimono's. I thought the "odd lyrics and odd video" were directed at the song I posted. Missed the whole post above that.

I didn't check out the Mumford & Sons new one yet. Only because I was out last night at rehearsal. Unfortunately this is a killer week with rehearsal three nights plus my improv group the other night. Leaves only Friday night open.

But Ghani!...surely you must like Cake. I love their grooves.

I always get some good instrumental music during my Pandora listening. Here's a very relaxed, simple song:

Malmo - The Album Leaf

EDIT: Now it's later, and another song called Micro Melodies by The Album Leaf is playing. I like this one, too. I can imagine teaching/leading children to paint to this song.

Oh, I don't mind Cake, (their bass riffs are pretty sweet) I just find those lyrics kinda icky... I get a visual of a large gentleman with leaky bowels. I'm weird like that.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eR384mcwl8k - love his voice, and he was AMAZING live

Ghanima - erm, have to agree that that is a very odd lyric for a song - it really does create quite a disturbing image! I have never heard of Cake - am I supposed to be admitting that? Will have to look them up.

sneak a little Snow Patrol in the middle - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FyTGiGiXkkY - nobody will notice

What are you rehearsing for AG?

and end with an oldie but a goodie

Good night, Eskimono!

For me, my mind has never stopped to linger on, "Bowel quaking earthquakes of doubt and remorse." I guess when it comes to nonsense lyric songs it doesn't really matter to me what's said.

Cake is slightly out of the mainstream. They're a Talking Heads kind of band. They make great music, but the talking/singing is a little off kilter.

Comfort Eagle - Cake
Love You Madly - Cake
Short Skirt Long Jacket - Cake

I'm rehearsing my play. I'm in a melodrama. My first character dies in the first scene. That's what we practiced last night, and will be practicing tonight and Thursday night as well.

Maybe I shouldn't talk about that here. (Just got my credit scores, and they're better than expected. Yay!)

What you on about?

My crown just fell out - stuck in my cheese toastie - nearly passed out - not good with things like that.

Not sure about that Cake lot, but Lazarus was yum.

I was getting a little too detailed about my credit scores, and thought better of it. I'm happy, though. I don't apply for credit that often, and I haven't sought a great credit score, so I was surprised that my credit score was as good as it was. Sadly, it's just mostly blank, so I do need to work on actually getting approved for credit in some manner so I can show that I am indeed worthy of credit. Living for years off the credit grid doesn't help in that regard I guess.
