Well, since you asked, we are having the weather from hell. Actually Northern Hell. School was cancelled AGAIN. There are cars in ditches and black ice on the ground. The sky is a hopeless gray. blah. More snow is due in on Friday. They say on the news they've run out of places to put it. The snow. Would you care for some?IP: Logged |

oh no Gypseethat makes our 'snow on the mountain', which is actually just a bit of a smattering, sound a bit pathetic! Can you ski where you are? IP: Logged |

It's snowing on and off here. We are supposedly getting 8 inches, but that's pretty doubtful since it's nothing right now. I think it's about 40 degrees anyway. WEIRDEST WINTER EVER. Otherwise, doing good today! Boss is in Puerto Rico so I'm playing catch up and wondering why my baby had no appetite at daycare. (e-mail from provider) IP: Logged |

I don't know if we have pancake day. There are all kinds of unofficial or semi-official holidays here, so it's a possibility. For me, I make pancakes every weekend lately. It's cool that you're able to swim in winter. Our community pool is heated starting at the end of spring, but they turn off the heat for winter.Gypsee, did you see that humongous pile up that happened in the Midwest over the weekend? I've never seen so many cars in a wreck. For us the rain is supposed to come back Friday. (Edit: Our weather's currently quite beautiful.) IP: Logged |

It's the Gemini in you!!!No, I did not see the story about the car pile up, but it doesn't surprise me at all. I did see the story about the little boy who was killed by a fallen icicle, very sad. I can't remember if that was local news or national? AnyWAY, so I always read and/or buy a farmers almanac every year. I told everyone this would be a dreadfully cold and snowy winter. They poo pooed me, cause we had no snow to speak of until just a few weeks ago. Those farmers know their business, I tell ya. PS> on the Aries energy you were talking about before. If Aries energy annoys you, you should try HAVING it!! Lord, you veer from feeling like you can fly, to wanting to rip somebody's head off. It's very difficult, I often wonder why I chose my chart, if indeed we do. IP: Logged |

Well in the UK we rarely make pancakes - and to be fair my efforts today did reflect that.It isn't an official holiday - marks the start of lent, the panckes were the traditional feast I think. Anyhow, I'm not religious, so it's just pancake day to me. Gypsee - are you not feeling so good today?

Yeah, the car pile-up made national news. I saw it twice that day on different news shows. It looked like they were on a bridge.Parts of the Aries energy I really kind of envy. I mean, they are so utterly immersed in life. They're in it, and they're getting their hands dirty. Meanwhile, I'm kicking back, not participating. I see stuff. I avoid stuff. IP: Logged |

Are they the same kind of pancakes we make here? I remember being in Europe, and my friend claimed to not like french toast, so of course I had to make some for him. It was tough to find syrup, which is what we put on both pancakes and french toasst.IP: Logged |

"I see stuff." "I avoid stuff."That is very funny AG. Don't ask me why, but it just IS!! *Eskimono, about the skiing. You don't really get mountains until you get close to Kentucky, so we have this man made skiing place called "Mad River Mountain." It's ridiculousy expensive, and super crowded, as people will flock out there the first time the ground is barely covered. This was an intense sore spot for me and Mr. Scorpio, because he always bought a season pass, and I always refused to go. He bought me a snowboard, which I've never used. He just doesn't understand that I have zero interest in winter!! So, we get along much better during other seasons. (0:

AG - no I don't think they are. They are more like the French Crepes - the thin ones. We hardly ever do French toast either, and generally call it fried bread. Pancakes feels like a nice safe topic!Where did you go in Europe? Gypsee - I love skiing (only for a few hours tho!) - but there is nowhere to ski here and usually no snow, so it is astronomically expensive when you want to go. A lot of people here go to the States or Canada. IP: Logged |

Ever hear the saying "cutting the cord"? I have that feeling today, like, maybe I should because I constantly find myself frustrated over inconsequential things. IP: Logged |

lol...Ghani I can't say I blame you. Eskimono, I've been to Scotland, England, Germany, Luxembourg, France, and Italy. Oh, how did I forget my favorite? I've been to Switzerland, too. That's my favorite place that I've been to. I definitely prefer that kind of mountainous, forest beauty to the beauty of tropical locales. Would like to go to Spain sometime. IP: Logged |

uggg, I suck at cutting cords. If I love someone or something, I love them forever. Even when it does more harm then good.Spain is nice, AG, you were in the Navy, right? You didn't go to Rota? or Roda? I don't know how to spell it, but my first husband was in the Navy and had to go there. I am cleaning out my closet today. Currently trying to decide if I really need a light box, and exactly how many pairs of converse are too many. *sigh* When does Mercury go forward again?? IP: Logged |

I was in the Navy, but on the West coast side, so no Europe for me. I forget how that city's name is spelled as well, but interestingly, that's where my best friend's father met his Spanish mother. His dad was a career Navy man, and married a Spaniard. My friend can speak both languages. He's the one that got me interested in Spain. Is Mercury in retro? It doesn't usually affect me. IP: Logged |

On A Neck, On A Spit by Grizzly Bear is an aurally interesting song. I like the Western feel, and the background vocals. And now I'm listening to one of Gypsee's men: Michael Hutchence. IP: Logged |

Almost everything I am looking at today is making me want to scream. So much negativity, I feel like things are just caving in on my head and I am so ignorant and poor at speaking that I can't do anything to voice what's in my heart without it being slammed and ripped apart. I'm sick to my stomach. Hopefully it's a passing phase. IP: Logged |

Ahhh Europe...When I was in school our concert/marching band went to Europe. We went to Norway, Germany, drove thru France, Sweeden, Copenhagen and London...Denmark was one too.. It was a blast. I was 17 at the time. Can you believe they had vending machines for beer!?! It was right across from the room my friends were in and we tried to get one but the machine wouldn't vend and we couldn't figure out the instructions lol. And I'm with you on hanging on to crap...umm..I mean stuff Gypsee... In band they gave the freshman home made "twinkies" made out of some kind of clay that they had hanging from a piece of yarn. We had to wear them around our necks during band camp (yes, they do exist). If we showed up at band camp without the twinkies on we had to run a lap around the football field lol. Well I was 14 at the time and I still have the damn thing lol. IP: Logged |

Oh, Moon's in Aries right now?I bad kind of a bad night. I woke up to the cat screaming to get into my roommate's room (possibly because it had to use the restroom). Then at 4:30 I was lucky enough to hear my roommate's two blaring alarms go off in succession. IP: Logged |

That sounds like some trip Wink !Italy's my favourite so far, especially Venice (a very special place) and Lake Como (visually stunning). We are off to Barcelona in June - you can come with us AG?! Ghanima - I read your thread and you never ever struck me as ignorant or poor with words? I really enjoyed the way you expressed yourself. I know exactly what you mean though - for some people any attention is better than none and, as with small children, if you feed that need it will come back to bite you. My Dad is one of those people who can tie you into knots in a debate, and regardless of how insightful or interesting the point he was making was, it always ended in a row, even if you were agreeing with him!! So I had to find a new way to deal with it. Gypsee - any news on the new arrival? I think this is a really happy, easy going thread and, if you don't mind AG, I am going to hang-out here for while......at least till you get to a 1000.
