Busy as heck today and have a dr.s appointment for her 6mos. shots at 3:30. Meeting with a guy about life insurance later. I'm already pooped. IP: Logged |

AG - clearly I am living in a parallel universe?'Sadly, most of it is blank' - presumably the result of not having to apply for credit? Now, I have never seen my credit rating, but I am guessing it would never be described as 'blank'. I could never relate that to being a happy event! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xhSfFjdr3XQ We must be getting old....counting down the days to the weekend so that we can sleep - I'm right there with you! I love that song, Eskimono. I really do. One of my guilty pleasures. Synchronistic that MVM comes in here when you post that, as she can verify my enjoyment of Wham!MVM, I read your article. It was good. IP: Logged |

Crap! I think I accidentally thumbsdowned Tears of a Clown on my Pandora station. Not cool. It was The [English] beat's version.IP: Logged |

I just got assigned an additional role in my play. Now I die as an old prospector only to return to the stage moments later as a young recruit. I didn't want to do it, but it won't add any rehearsal nights, so I guess it's alright.IP: Logged |

So now you die 3 times in the same play? You are persistent. Will the audience not notice that you keep coming back to life? It's the weekend YAY! IP: Logged |

Nah, I die only once. My second character gets shanghai'd off to China. My third character gets the girl, the girl that is the neice of my first character.I'm intolerably tired this morning. Not enjoying being at work. Hopefully some caffeine will help. Co-workers out getting coffee right now. IP: Logged |

Oh, and our director claimed it would be hilarious that I keep popping up in different characters, though I know she really just doesn't want to have to find another Billy Blue Eyes.IP: Logged |

Ah - a happy ending - though having it away with your niece sounds a bit dodgy.I am cream-crackered also, but have committed to a works soiree this evening......free wine being the incentive IP: Logged |

It's a social event being put on by the place I work. I think the intention is to motivate and 're-engage' us given that they have taken away our profit share, bonuses, pension scheme........a glass of wine should compensate for that surely??!Don't get me wrong, I am not a moaner, they pay me well and I am thankful for my job - I just find it a bit shallow and inappropriate. But, I am never one to turn down a free glass of wine, so I will go and re-engage with the best of them!! IP: Logged |

How goes it, Ghani?I just realized it's been one week since annoying lady got laid off. Yay! I'm sure she'd have been hyper today, which would have been super annoying. IP: Logged |

Just greatful (grateful? sp?) that I had power this morning and the weather calmed down. It was INSANE here. Like a hurricane, siding was stripped off the house and strewn across the lawn (the far lawn, behind the garden) and there were tree branches all over the road. There are still 75K people out of power and flooding everywhere. Nuts!IP: Logged |

Did you say you'll play an old prospector, AG? I keep getting a mental image of Will Farrell in that SNL skit a while ago, where he plays the randomly-placed old prospector IP: Logged |

That's kind of sychronistic, too, MVM, because Wednesday night at improv we were practicing a game where you switch characters, so you have to be a rather distinct character. It was just a woman and I in the skit, and we were placed in 7/11 (convenience store). Of course we both went for being the clerk, so when she opened as the clerk I was a bit stuck with where to go, so my improv teacher, who's also the director of the play, told me to play my prospector role. It turned out hilarious. We started with mundane stuff like a red slurpie, but being the old prospector of course I had to notice the porn mags, which then my partner had to run with for a bit [as my character], then when I got my prospector character back I asked if there was a restroom (now that I've got porn). My class erupted in laughter, and my fellow Cappy teacher called "Scene" (always end on a high note). Kathy commented that I don't get as red as I used to pulling one liners like that. I love those moments.I don't actually remember Will Ferrell's prospector, but he's always so good. _________________ Ghani, That sounds terrible! It's "grateful" by the way. I hope it doesn't get any worse. It's starting to storm here now. The wind's supposed to get really gusty, but I doubt it'll be like yours. IP: Logged |

Upon rereading my story it seems a bit too concise. Made the skit seem short. Blame my Mercury opposite Saturn. Our internet seems to have gone out @ work. I've had to switch to my phone to write this. IP: Logged |

Just put in a friend request for an old Navy friend of mine. He was probably my best friend in the Navy, but things fell apart when he got together with this Capricorn girl, and convinced me to move in with them. Eventually they decided to move, and they didn't tell me until after they'd told the apartment manager they were moving out. I didn't appreciate that. So it ended kind of unfriendly. They moved to Seattle later I was able to figure out, but I still didn't contact him. Tonight I was just curious if he was on Facebook, and he is, so I friended him. We'll see what happens. I'm dying to know what sign he is. I wasn't into astrology back then. I guess I was enough to know that his girlfriend was a Capricorn, but I don't remember his birthday for the life of me.IP: Logged |

I remembered to watch the Mumford & Sons video. I think I'm still on the fence about how much I like them, but parts of that song really excited me! Like when the music starts driving I got pumped, and each time it would come to chorus I'd kind of relive that. Then the end was ...dramatic and kind of magical. I love the trumpet thrown in. On second listen to the end I notice two things: I really believe him/he really sells it; and it seems like it would be fun to sing. The guy's voice does hold my attention. It's interesting. I envy that he seems to have something to say. He reminds me that I have a voice somewhere within me that probably can actually write songs. IP: Logged |

Hey AG, that old prospector video is one which wasn't released for SNL...it kind of never got the real air time since the scene dragged a little...and uh, not many in the scene were able to keep a straight face for long LOL Still worth a laugh. But here's a link in case you want to see it..not the best link but it was surprisingly hard to find this: http://videos.wittysparks.com/id/3128252061 IP: Logged |

I think I should have turned down the free wine. Cheap chardonnay = hangover from hell. I know this, but still I do it.What is an old prospector? I think I know, but it doesn't fit with being in a shop buying porn. Mumford and Sons - I am very much off the fence, album downloaded, but haven't had chance to listen to it yet. I like that they inspire you to write songs. And do you lot never sleep? Both you and MVM were posting in the middle of the night? I am looking forward to my bed already, and it's only 1pm.
