The weather blows! It's raining in San Fran...yuck.
Last night I got drunk on like not even 2 drinks.
Today I feel all blah with the weather and hungover. I do not recommend vodka on an empty stomach followed by super greasy fish n chips at the local pub dive. It can make you hork.

Saw Alice/Wonderland last night. It started great then went downhill. Great performances, but the script was so....Disnified as it went on. The dark edge that it started with became watered down and dull and diluted. The ending was boring. And OMG, that song at the end when the credits rolled? HORRID! Ran out screaming!

Yeah, I'm less inclined to see it now...at least in theaters. Everyone seems to be coming away lukewarm about it. Clash of the Titans looks fun.

I think it's really not bad, AG. It's really lovely on the big screen as well. And the acting was great.

Saw previews for Prince of Persia, of all things. I loved the game. It's weird to see it getting made as a movie. I don't know how to feel. On the one hand, really excited, on the other... kind of put off lol. Confused!!!!

Mmmm...yeah, and isn't Jake Gyllenhaul starring in it? What's up with that?

That does make me feel a bit better about Alice. I guess I'll decide if I end up at a movie theater this weekend.

Yes, he is starring in it, and he looks good
I dunno. Looks like a 'fun movie' type. I even caught a glimpse of Ben Kingsley in there!

EDIT:
Also, Alan Rickman is in Alice. He's the voice of the caterpillar. I love Alan Rickman. Love that silky voice of his.

I had to think of who Alan Rickman is. I didn't look him up, but I'm pretty certain he's the one that plays Snape in the Harry Potter movies. I love his voice, too, though I wouldn't categorize it as silky myself. It's more nasally.

Clash of the Titans was my brothers favorite movie when we were kids. The really cheesy one, I think it starred Harry Hamlin? Oh, he made me watch that with him on HBO over and over and over.

Eskimono, just looked up Johnny from The Dolls, he was born the day before me! Incestuous Sag's AG will say!

lol Gypsee. Women in my family don't get that kind of sickness anyway even if I was

But I'm just hungover...can be extra sensitive to alcohol sometimes.

AG, I LOVE Rickman! He's been around forever too...lots of movies. Definitely a 'character' actor. Lots of stage.

I feel his voice is silky because of the way he talks, not just his voice. I get the feeling of being stroked by a scrap of silk when I hear his voice.
Damn.
It's hot in here

LOL...

I know. I was thinking about some role I saw him in, and I can't even name the movie. I just remember his part so distinctly. He was married to (wow...my brain is going) Emma Thompson (I think that's her name; used to be married to Kenneth Branaugh). He was a magazine or newspaper editor, and one of his female underlings was totally obsessed with him. He ended up sort of giving in to her, and his wife found the necklace he'd bought for this other woman. It was cool to see him in an almost blaise role.

I just watched 2012. I had fingernails before the movie, they are gone now.

Woody Harrelson rocked as "Crazy Charlie!" I love that guy, and I am not into blondes. What sign is he, anyone? I could look it up, but it's fun to see who already knows.

I'm telling you what, if that happens, I am NOT getting on any arks with tons of people and stinky animals. No way, Jose'.
I'll just take whatever comes. How about you guys? Ark or no ark??

I couldn't remember actor's names earlier today, but I'm pretty sure I've looked up Woody Harrelson's sign before and found out he was a Leo (a.k.a. a "natural" in the acting world).

Probably no ark. Might try to find another solution. Maybe an inflatable boat? I haven't seen that movie.

Love Actually?

I was sat behind Woody Harrelson on a flight once - he seemed really nice and down to earth - he was chatting to everyone around him. We only have little planes, with no class segregation, but still - he could have got a charter flight.

We gets lots of Hollywood stars on our little Island, because we have tax-breaks for film production. If they shoot a proportion of the film here, the revenues can be collected Offshore - I think they might be tax free.

Yeah, that's the one, Love Actually.

Woody does seem like he'd be a good guy to hang out with.

Have you always lived on that island, or did you move there?

Born and bred here. It's the most beautiful place when the sun's shining, it gets a bit claustrophobic in the winter. You have get off 'the rock' regularly. I sometimes thank god for the travel element of my job, otherwise I think I might go mad. Everyone knows everyone elses business - and I don't like people knowing my business.

I lived in England for 3 years when I went to Uni.

A fellow Capricorn. Capricorns and drugs don't seem to mix too well.

Speaking of Capricorns, it's Capricorn night on Saturday Night Live. Jude Law is hosting, and Eddie Vedder will be singing as part of Pearl Jam.

Shucks! Missed that, I love Eddie.

I know one Cappy guy that used to be in my ex-husbands band. He became a crack head. I have a Cappy girlfriend who is on/off drugs since I've known her. Seems like they go all or nothing with it, no half-a$$ing.

I watched the Lost Boys last night on Spike tv. I just sat here with my mouth agape, because he was just SOOOO young! It didn't SEEM like that long ago, in the giant scope of things, but I suppose it was. Ahhh, drugs, dammit!!

and here to lighten the mood.....we have 2 new goldfish....seemed like the cheap option, until they rang all the things required to keep them, with minimal risk of death, through the till.

One belongs to my daughter - she has called it Goldie (see what she did there?). I don't know what to call mine - it has a little black mark on it's side and a big bum. Any suggestions?

ha ha - I liked the accent - it's was a 'London' one, wasn't it?

If I can get a picture of it's arse I will post it. Or might the flash possibly give the fish a heart attack?

Can't say that I really know which accent goes with which region.

I'm not sure about a flash being too much for a fish either, but you could turn the flash off, and see if that works.

Thus far the only name I've conjured up is Moley Poley (or Molie Polie).

Apparently the black spot is not good (or hopefully permanent), so no need to factor it in to naming suggestions!

The big bum remains though.
